Ghana has stable electricity yes but are not richer or more infrastructurally developed than Nigeria so please you can help your country man answer the question instead of deflecting rafiki. Shma2020: Ghana has stable electricity than our generator economy, Ghana is richer and more infrastructural developed than Nigeria our beloved zoo. Does this make any sense? |

The fact that despite our ''inflated'' figures we are still recording 60% telecom penetration should tell you the figure will be way higher if the population figures are reduced. Kenyans are globally notorious for manipulating your national stats so excuse me for taking your claims with a pinch of salt and please stop trying to use South Africa to cover up your dodgy stats. by the way you haven't addressed these points Your telecom figures don't make sense on so many levels.
1. Nairobi and Mombasa will probably account for a chunk of those figures how many people live in those cities?
2. Economically, Infrastructure and Electricity wise I don't know how you would be able to sustain above 40m subscribers which is what that figure is implying. Ghana that has stable electricity supply, better infrastructure and is richer than you don't pull such laughable stats. rvp20182: This doesnt make sense. As we speak Kenya mobile pentration is at 110 percent. South Africa is 170 percent. Nigeria if indeed it was 200M people - would already be at 100 or even 110 percent like Kenya. If Nigeria was to get to south africa level...it would have 350M active mobile numbers.
The answer remains; in 1960s; Southern states started the rigging; increasing their population by 200 percent; while the northern had grown by 70 percent; the North cried foul; a repeat was done; they also inflated their to 200 percent;
All the rest of census have followed the 1960s stalemate - or agreed rigging;
So if true population of Nigeria was inflated from growth of 70 percent to 200 percent - then we can conclude - Nigeria population is way less - maybe 150m.
Solution is simple - Biometric registration like india or something like that. |

My guy but speaking from an academic stand point are they really over inflated like that? Let's use INEC voter registration numbers for the most part they use biometric voter register. Since 2011 northern states have had higher number of registered voters. If we say that one was manipulated they how come northern states also generally have higher number of voters? So these things are neither here or there but personally I think manipulating numbers is a waste of time because history has shown it doesn't add any benefit to your state. theInterpreter: exactly what I said We are around 180m The north's population is grossly false |

Actually if you think our population figures are inflated (which I agree with funny enough) then our telecom percentage numbers will be higher since the figures come straight from the telecom providers themselves and are immune from manipulation by the government. South Africa has a way better internet infrastructure than you so please. Your telecom figures don't make sense on so many levels. 1. Nairobi and Mombasa will probably account for a chunk of those figures how many people live in those cities? 2. Economically, Infrastructure and Electricity wise I don't know how you would be able to sustain above 40m subscribers which is what that figure is implying. Ghana that has stable electricity supply, better infrastructure and is richer than you don't pull such laughable stats. rvp20182: Because your population is rigged [WELL KNOWN FACT SINCE 60s] or your are undeveloped; otherwise compare kenya to say South Africa or any country with decent data.
There were 100.6 million mobile connections in South Africa in January 2021.
That is almost 200 percent
Mobile connections in South Africa There were 100.6 million mobile connections in South Africa in January 2021.
The number of mobile connections in South Africa increased by 817 thousand (+0.8%) between January 2020 and January 2021.
The number of mobile connections in South Africa in January 2021 was equivalent to 168.5% of the total population.
Note: many people have more than one mobile connection, so figures for mobile connections may exceed 100% of the total population. |

Voter apathy is an issue but still doesn't account for why the numbers are so low. In 2015 when people were so excited to vote the figures were shockingly low compared to 2011. As per states tweaking their numbers to attract more federal allocation it still doesn't really add anything to the states. Some of us have suspected that the northern states especially inflate their figures but that hasn't benefited all this time because they are still relatively poorer than the southern states. If you ask I would put our true population at around 180-190 don't think we have cracked 200m yet. theInterpreter: Nigeria has a very large youth population And voter apathy is very high So voters don't matter |

It's still ridiculous. even in Nigeria where people have 2/3 lines the penetration is barely above 60% please come with another line rafiki rvp20182: Little knowledge is dangerous. Most people have two or three lines. In developed world - mobile pentration exceed population. How many Nigerians have multiple lines?
There is no more credible data than telcom penetration - because it got right from the source database of say MTN. |

Your ridiculous telecom penetration numbers prove you manipulate your population figures where 75% of your population including babies and toddlers are said to use mobile phones. So zip it and sit your sanctimonious lying ass down! rvp20182: When country depend on oil; and that oil is shared based on population quota; everyone increase their number; and that is Nigeria story. If you were not a well know idiot you should already have some history of Nigeria census rigging starting in 1960s - btw South and North.
And I doubt there is a country that has deflated their population - people want to inflate to raise their political stake - in almost any country.
I know you think kenya has deflated it's population - - while in actual sense kenya prevented Nigeria like situation when Somalis attempted to fake their numbers - that was in 2009 census! |

In all honesty I'm genuinely shocked that Onuachu couldn't move this transfer window. No matter how you might feel about his skill set to score 30+ goals is not beans. Ndidi was more of hope than concrete interest from anywhere. lloydtruth: Kingsley Michael, DM kwa? One day we go hear say Napoli don convert Osihmen to DM. Meanwhile, going forward all these hyped transfer speculations we give to our players should stop. Imagine some of speculations we had 1. Onuachu - Lyon, Westham, Arsenal 2. Sadiq - Bayern Munich, Sevilla 3. Ndidi - Manchester United, PSG, Juventus 4. Moffi - Dortmund, Inter 5. Nwakali - Leads Among other unrealistic speculations. Truth is, most of our players are Average and below average they lack ball confidence especially Ndidi, there's nothing special about his play, no need to dey hype. Drops mic. |

Thanks egbon for your insight. I never watched Etim Esin growing up but the impression I got was he was some golden boy of Nigerian football based on all the hype around him. The emergence of Jay-Jay probably made everyone forget about Esin fairly quickly. Icon4s: Etim Esim was very good but not better than Okocha. Probably if he had maintained his discipline he could have achieved more. . He was a number 10 but played then more like a today's number 10. IE was more attack minded than Okocha, was a direct player and also played with LoTs of Pace. He peakedd at the age of 21/22 which was about the age Okocha was just taking off. Okocha was 21 at that 1994 WC even at that stage he was already better than Etim.
Okocha was a more gifted player than Etim. |

Respect to Willian. As an Arsenal fan I was terrible disappointed about his performance and I'm glad he himself has acknowledged how poor he was. Praise to him too for honourably cancelling his contract and not deciding to stay and be collecting huge wages which he is legally entitled to do. The Arsenal administration is just a joke didn't the Ozil brouhaha teach them anything? If not that Willian decided to be nice this could easily have been another complicated scenario. ogbiwa: Willian has apologised to Arsenal fans for a disappointing spell at the club as he rejoins Corinthians.
The Brazil midfielder completed a move back to his home country after Arsenal terminated his contract on Monday.
"All my career I have done everything to be the best I can be - I always want to win and I find it hard to accept not doing so," the 33-year-old wrote on Instagram.
"Unfortunately it didn't happen for me at Arsenal and I am sorry about that."
Willian arrived on a free transfer in August 2020 after leaving Chelsea, signing a three-year deal reportedly worth more than £200,000 a week.
However, the 70-time Brazil international hit back at critics who he felt had claimed his move to Arsenal had been driven by "financial reasons".
"Unfortunately things on the pitch didn't go the way we had all planned and hoped - I received a lot of criticism, especially from some members of the press, [suggesting] that I had come here for financial reasons," added Willian, who scored one goal in 25 league appearances for Arsenal last season.
"I hope with my actions today [I] explain [that] to those people and they now understand that was not the case.
"I hope it teaches some people that they should not be so quick to pass judgement and create bad environments to make themselves important, even though I accept that's part of the game."
The midfielder, capped 70 times by Brazil, had not featured for the club this season. Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said before Saturday's 5-0 defeat at Manchester City that he "didn't know" why Willian's time at the club had not been more successful.
Willian - who won five trophies, including two Premier League titles, during his seven-year spell at Chelsea - returns to his home country to join Corinthians, where he began his career before leaving for Shakhtar Donetsk in 2007.

I just watched Reece's sending off he was really unlucky. From the clip he moved his knee to block the ball alongside his arms which are moving in a natural manner. James is just unfortunate that the ball didn't bounce anywhere other than unto his arm cos the clip clearly shows he was using his knee to try and block the ball. Plus during the corner that led to the goal VVD's arm clearly pushing Azpilicueta's head during the whole struggle. Jodera: All these applies when "it's not an obvious goalscoring opportunity" na.
If that is a handball, then automatically it denied a goalscoring opportunity which is a sending off. The only situation is if that's not a handball (like ref will see it and still say play on). Any other reason ref blow for a pk automatically requires sending off.
Yea it's harsh, but it's what it is. |

I'm sure he does not know basic things like how to read the movement of a mobile striker or intercept a pass even though he might have raw talent. Uncooked rice needs to be cooked. I'm sure he is still raw as he is the product of a failed system. To solve the problem I think we need to work on training our coaches on modern knowledge of football.
