Politics › I Care About these in Nigeria and Life by christopher123(op): 12:12pm On Apr 26, 2016
The presidency have refused to make any pronouncement on the killing, people are shutting up for the sake of political correctness. People are dying in Uwani Enugu, Agutu dies, Mile 12 and yet no body is giving us any explanation apart from one old imp that is called Lai...he said that we are tackling Fulani killing technically. Can you imagine? A priest kidnapped, a king killed, A yoruba statesman kidnapped yet you are tackling this systematically. I pray we get pass this stage. Has Presidency made any pronouncement on these killing?

People are dying daily! The question is: are these really herdsmen or terrorist masquarading as Fulani Herdsmen? We need explanations here.

I care that we all live
I care that I may get my own place
I care that I might have peace with other tribes
I care for the little girls going to school without them been kidnapped and Islamised
I care that I get to gas station, I buy PMS without wahala
I care that I will walk down the street without having bombed or lynched because of my tribe or religion
I care for Nigeria
I care also for Biafra Agitators( They might be right)
I care for AFRICA
I care for peace
I care about the IPOB
I care about Nnamdi
I care about freedoom of my race
I care about Fulani employing modern mechnised dairy farming
I care about the North showing their people how to reason logically not Islamically
I care about my friend in the West taking us as counterparts not competitors
I care about the Youths that are been divided accross political lines

I care about you all

Politics › Going Online Will Not Save Or Help Saraki by christopher123(op): 10:17am On Apr 26, 2016
Embattled President of the Senate in Nigeria, Mr. Bukola Saraki, has released a public statement online asserting that his prosecution has little to do with the fight against corruption but the desire of his political enemies to cage him. Saraki is facing charges at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) for alleged false declaration of assets. The case has gone through numerous winding paths as the senate president struggles to halt his trial. A mix of legal and political taints has made this case controversial. But the courts have ruled the senate president has a case to answer. This was according to an Online news website http://itedgenews.com/2016/04/23/4508/

In his recent long letter, well publicized within social media, and which is an obvious response to an earlier article by the publisher of Ovation, Mr. Dele Momodu, asking him (Saraki) to resign as senate president, Saraki says his ordeal is fueled by his political rivals.
Politics › Those Hired By Peter Jack Will Be Sacked, No Mercy ...minister Of Commtech Says by christopher123(op): 9:59am On Apr 26, 2016
About 245 staff hired by the sacked Director General (DG) of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mr. Peter Jack, will not be retained. Reason: They were recruited outside of due process and without adherence to civil service procedures, Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, has affirmed in a news item published by Daily Trust. This was gotten from http://itedgenews.com/2016/04/23/no-place-245-hurriedly-hired-hands-nitda-says-shittu/

Inside NITDA, senior officials said the sacked DG ignored a directive from the ministry to jettison the exercise and failed to get due clearance from the Federal Character Commission (FCC) before the recruitment exercise were conducted.

“Everything was shoddily done against laid down principle. The leadership of the NITDA had no authorization to carry out the exercise. Even when it came to the notice of the ministry and the FCC, there were attempts to manage the crisis but the mess was deeper than anyone thought it was. Letters of employment were issued to would-be staff before they were called for interview. When the ministry queried the exercise, the former DG ignored the query and still went ahead to issue more letters of employment. This was the position until he was suspended then eventually sacked. Part of the problem emanated from the absence of a board which allowed the DG to act unguardedly,” said one senior staffer.

There is no time 100% of a people will support a course.

Learn to bypass Biafran news and focus on your life dreams by doing away with these unnecessary antagonisms. Nobody is going to forcefully conscript you to serve as a Biafran soldier or sympathizer hence keep calm and watch things unfold.

Again, the EU is not a country. Britain is not governed by the constitution of the EU. The EU has absolutely no business if Britain decides to leave or stay. Because it is like a club. For example when Scotland asked to leave the entire Britain took a referendum. The decision is not just about Igbo's or biafrans. It will affect every single 180 million people in Nigeria. We must make sure everyone is alright with this. I know it is easy to think that the call for Biafra has only to do with what d biafrans want. But Biafra is not a Biafra thing it is a Nigerian thing.

U are asking Nigerians to change everything they stood for change all systems and constitutions to accommodate Biafra's split. We must be absolutely Sir that it is economically and socially necessary not tribal and prejudicial hatred.

I don't think anyone is scared of Igbo's leaving. We do not just see d need to distabilize our society to solve a problem with an answer that not solve d problem. We too have stakes in this. It is our society. Call it a zoo but unr askinus to distabilize it to give u what u wnt. We must understand and agree that it is economically beneficial.

Scotland will always be part of Britain, north and south america will still be one country. Because splitting a country up is not splitting a group into 2. There are many stakeholders. Many national and international. If splitting means we welcome american war bombs on the rest of Nigeria, not happening. If it means that it levels any region economically, politically or socially vulnerable, not happening. So these things work together to determine how pple see did.
EU is a case study and has constitution.

Spliting can be done peacefully if we work on it.

I already said it, if the Igbos want to leave Nigeria, let them come together as a people and hold a referendum and get peoples opinion. Its that simple. If the Igbos can do that, then they can chart the course of their own history.
How canthey get referendum....by their own....can you tell us?

How did you know christian East and Niger Delta said yes to biafra? Did you conduct an opinion poll? And if you did, can you kindly share so we can learn?.

Once again, how did you know Nigerians are scared of igbo living Nigeria? Was an opinion poll conducted by you to arrive at this conclusion?

Do you know the difference between a federation and a con-federation? Is the E.U a federal entity like Nigeria or the U.S.A?. For the fact that you compared a Union of States to a State shows you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Once again. The Brits operate their country as a single entity, tell me, why do you think the Brits don't use The Euro?

If you want a referendum, you can conduct one yourself, or perhaps you can find a way to muster the courage and get the collective opinions from Igbos all over the country and draw your conclusion.

There are ways in which Igbos can achieve their Biafra, but violence and blocking of roads isn't one of them.

The ball is in the court of the Igbos to sit down as a unit of people and decide what they want.
Nice dissertion but you answer not the question.

Christopher, thank you for such a wonderful thread.

I have have opened threads in the past where I asked direct simple questions like you are doing and all "One nigerianists" do is that they "Peep and Run". Even when they decide to respond, their reponse is full of accusations and insult and has nothing to do with the question you asked.

The problem with "one Nigerianists" is that they know that IPOB and Biafrans are constantly providing rational, empirical, and superior points on the need to separate. If it wasnt coming from biafrans, they will agree with it 100% because it just makes sense.

But fear of an uncertain future in Nigeria and blind hatred makes them (one nigerianist) support something that is not working.

Very succint!

"I AM GOING TO OPPRESS YOU AND YOU MUST NOT LEAVE THIS COUNTRY BECAUSE I HAVE GUNS TO KILL YOU".

The above statement capture the Unevolved African man's (beast) mentality whenever he acquires power. The fulani case is even worse because they also practice a religion that is intolerant of dissenting views and allows them to 'oppress the kaffurs'. So it is double wahala-AFriCan+Muslim.

The next war won't be fought as it was in 1967 as the world now have the facts. It is much difficult to sell propaganda in this information age as the Brits did for them in 1967. I doubt if Brits will want to see as helping Muslim Fulani to kill Christian Biafrans.
Whatever happens fulanis won't get the kind of support they got in 1967-70, and if they don't embrace peace and settle this Biafran problem by dragging their region out of nigeria and ban the internet there to maintain feudal control, their loss in loss in the next war may be costly for them. They might have to go back to foutta djallon to survive because even some hausas are waking up.

Soon tables will turn as it has always done in the history of every country. 1000 year old empires have brought down in history when their rulers thought they will last forever.

The whites have built their society based on Christian teachings.

Other Races especially Africans are still governed by the teachings of paganism and islamism

When you compare the teachings propagated by these religions, you will understand why some tribes in Africa are wild and evil while others are gentle and good
A better answer and I believe that at some point the whites were pegans . I could remember the dark ages.

Maybe that's why Igbo want out becuase thye have evolved from pegan PR heathen to 99.99 % of them as Christian maybe they want to build their society and country based on Christian principle without any undue interference

Maybe Biafra will be the poster card for African development

Maybe Biafra concept will re draw the map that European cartographers did in Europe like 300 years ago without any consultation to Africa

I think it will be nice to see how African go about this Biafra thing

Will it be their normal violent nature
Will they toe the civilisation

What is the fear of Biafra ?
What will Nigeria loose ?
I think Africa will gain more in terms of respect from global powers and also integrity

I am really tired of this Biafra posts that absolutely miss the point. Fisrtly OP, u comparing Nigeria and the Igbos to Britain and the EU is unfounded and not even valid. The EU is a group of COUNTRIES formed to facilitate free trade and movement of labour within countries. Each country exist as a sovereign state within the EU. This also means that immigrants to any of these European countries have access to all EU countries. Different countries have different immigration rules and are not comfortable with that. Given that Britain lives on a welfare system, it is of utmost importance they control immigration. That is why Britain is leaving the EU. Not because they are enslaved.

Secondly, Britain is a country not a section of a country. The EU is not a country. The EU is exactly the same as the OAU, AU, UN. Any country can leave if they feel the rules are no more convenient. By The way, scotland has been wanting to leave the UK for decades now. But they cannot. A specific part of a country cannot just decide that it wants to leave. You saying that BRITAIN IS LIGHT YEARS AHEAD BCOZ THEY VOTED TO LEAVE THE EU IS COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT IN THIS CONTEST. When Britain lets scotland go, then u can make that argument.

The current constitution is written to reflect all resources, needs, players of all sections of the country. Any part leaving is denying everybody else in the country their fundamental rights of association by birth. The matter of seceding must be planned in a gradual process. there are others in this country too u know. an cutting any part of nigeria away is like saying "the rest of u can die, we do not care".

And also pitching this problem as a religious divide is a new low. The corruption in nigeria has nothing to do with religion and tribe. Even if u go to Biafra I can assure u that nothing will come out of it. Because u guys brought up the concept of Biafra to solve a problem that does not exist. You have failed to identify the problem and this pride and hatred may lead to unfounded events that does not benefit the people but satisfies personal political interests.
The problem I have with people is that they believe in resources ! Oh you meant oil right ? Have you heard of the term Dutch disease ? Pls look it up in dictionary . it is the effects of over dependency on oil and that is what we have been offering

What develops a country isnt resources because if it were resources African would have been developed all these years and Japan and Korea with no resources be poor but the reverse is the case

The best resources a country can get is brain and human resources... We just can't refine common crude and Igbo ja not even keen on taking the resources ...I felt that they want to have their destinies in their hands and not be lumped together with people that have different ideologies

Ideologies is what makes a nation
America believe in liberty
Russia believe on communism
China people in people communism
Angola believe in a Christian economy
Saudi believe in Arab emancipation and economy
Biafra believe in freedom and optimism ...that has been demonstrated

What is this country's ideology

We have to be honest here ....

Nigeria regions have different ideology ..some believe in self advancement while some believe that enaything Western education is totally bad.

Now how can these entities work together ?
Politics › Re: British,Biafra,Igbo And The Same Stories Of Memberships. Nigeria Lesson by christopher123(op): 4:37pm On Apr 24, 2016
enlightenedmind:
One is that freedom of association has nothing to do with Seceding a sovereign state. No one group or state has the right to do that. All Nigerians must have a referendum because this decision affects all Nigerians not just biafrans. Why Nigerians are really skeptical about voting the biafra is not because of oil or whatever. It is simply Nigerians see that the whole Biafra thing will not benefit the common Igbo man who has no political, social or financial interests in all these. It will further oppress them.
Secondly, at least more than half of Igbo people say that there is a problem in our constitution and system of govt that marginalizes some groups, not just igbos [MIDDLE-BELTANS] Have never been president too but the answer is not Biafra. Biafra is seeking ethnically clean groups, that is not possible in modern society. They say they do not want Biafra but are not happy with the current way the system is run.

That means the problem is with the constitution not tribal. Igbos forget that there are many groups maginalized here. Many, thanks to the corruption of our politicians. We must fight and eradicate corruption across all states from igbo to hausa, chriatain to muslim before we can begin to decide if we split. If there is corruption, and we split, i feel sorry for those who will find themselves in biafra. The will be looted dry.
Now this is the better response ...not all groups will want referendum. We can't lump everybody up. If a particular section wants referendum why don't give it to them? Some people are very okay with Nigeria some people are not okay with Nigeria

So conducting referendum to all will be tantamount to waste of resources ,time and energy.

The whole EU won't conduct a referendum it's only Britain so it is and that has been the global standard practise . the same way it way done in Ireland the same way it was done in Catalonia we can't always do the wrong thing in Nigeria. This is one of the reasons Igbo want out. Nigeria keeps doing the wrong thing for obvious reason

Referendum is done in affected places not on generality.. This is the global best practise
From the look of things , igbo are not going or wants to go because of marginalisation ..I don't think so.Igbo to me wants to leave so that they can chart their own course and find their own destiny . TO ME THAT IS NOT A BAD THING to ask

Just like when a wife wants out you tell your in-laws to go for a referendum . this is exactly what you have opined

The whole EU isn't going for a referendum but only Brits not even the Scots

That's is the best global practise

As you can see your argument and postulation doesn't hold water

I ask again

Why is Nigeria not comfortable with Igbo leaving or staying?
What will Nigeria loose if Igbo stays or go?

I really need to get answers here pls

Igbos in Nigeria are more than 40million.

The last election is an eye opener

Jonathan (12mil) vs Buhari (15mil)

Jonathan (Majority Igbos) vs Buhari(Majority Hausas/Yorubas)

Jonathan (Majority SS minorities) vs Buhari (Majority Northern minorities)

See the difference is 3 million despite massive underage voters in the North and disenfranchised voters in SE/SS.
OK let's assume whatever because in Igbo land there is a saying that it's good to assume that whatever bite you in night is mosquito ..in another word it is saying that ignorance is bliss

I for one didn't vote and have never voted cos vote don't count here in Nigeria and I stand to be corrected

Let's take the Igbo population is 4 million at least they are still bigger than Swaziland and other countries like St Kitts and Nevis

The question is why don't Nigeria have dialogue ?
Why do African prefer the crude and violent way to do things ?
Why do black man prefer violence than dialogue ?

Is freedom of association a luxury in Africa ?

The question is why don't Igbo excessively perform their foundermental freedom of association ?
What will Nigeria loose or gain if Igbo leave?
Why are Nigeria scared of Igbo leaving ?

These are questions and I uses EU as a case study or example

Personally I think we have to learn from our colonial masters on how to behave and civilisation.

The African man is backward ..very backward

In Europe there are tribes and ethnicities but these tribes are mostly formed in nations not lumped together
Slavs in Slovakia
Saxons in England
Norrs in Scandinavian
Bavarians in Germany
Dutch's in Holland
Irish in Ireland
Scots in Scotland
Francs in France and Belgium
Romas in Romania
Iberians in Portugal and Spain
Catalonia wanting their own countries and having referendum

But in Africa Tutsi killing hutsi
Fulani rampaging everywhere
Central African Republican is a war Republican
South Sudan and Sudan we saw it
So many examples

Why is it not like this in Europe
Why is the killing not like this in south east Asia
Why don't the latin America kill each other because of tribes

We have to understand this ...to me I think if we have to die staying alone it's better to live staying apart and be friends

Yes am angry not at zik,not that igbos want out,but at people who insult other tribe as cause of their misfortune in nigeria
zik didnt create nigeria but he should have maintained the status quo, disintegration would have been mighty easy
i am not taking you back 50 years back without a reason, you were talking as if igbos were goaded into nigeria by the other regions
you want contemporary issue talk referendum, referendum without insulting other tribe like they are enslaving you
I will advise that you take a chill pill....I did a write up and I can't see any insult here and I can't even remember mentioning other tribes
So why did you bring in other tribes here we are talking of intellectual talk here

Why are you angry at Igbo leaving or not leaving ? Answer pls ..but before you answer this take a breather and calm down
