David Myers A Retired Las Vegas Officer Who Is Currently In Critical Condition Says 2Pac Paid Him 1.5 Million Dollars To Organize His Death. Myers Stated that 2pac had him pay over 30+ people who were in on his death from the arriving officer to the medics and other hospital officials. Myers also said that 2 Pac was actually at the scene that night and that the bullet wounds he had were fake but when his body was taken to the morgue they put in a similar body as 2 Pacs that he had paid $50,000 for. Apparently 2 Pac paid off certain hospital and morgue employs to say and create fake proof that it was indeed 2pacs body that was shot and killed. Myers says on-top of this 1.5 Million that he received for organizing his death he still receives $10,o00 every month to a offshore bank account he has. Myers told us that 2pac knew every single detail about every person who he had paid to fake his death and that Pac used that to put fear in them so nobody would ever talk. http://notallowedto.com/dying-police-officer-claims-he-was-paid-1-5-million-to-help-tupac-fake-his-own-death/ |

By January 9, 2016, it will become illegal for a Nigerian citizen above 16 years not to have a National Identification Number (NIN). It will also become legally mandatory for all statutory institutions or organisations recognised by law, notably banks and insurance companies, to demand that citizens engaging or requiring their services provide their NIN. Without a NIN, there will be no legal transactions. Under the NIMC Act No. 23 of 2007, which establishes the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), it is an offence to carry out any transactions without a NIN. The NIMC Act mandates the Commission “to establish, own, operate, maintain and manage the National Identity Database in Nigeria, register persons covered by the Act, assign a Unique National Identification Number (NIN) and issue General Multi-Purpose Cards (GMPC) to those registered individuals, and to harmonize and integrate existing identification databases in Nigeria. In a few words, our mandate is to provide an assured identity system in Nigeria through the concept of enroll once and be identified for life.” Penalty for transactions without a NIN The penalty for non-conformity with the NIMC Act includes payment of fines to imprisonment. Specifically Act 5.1 states: “Where a Person carries out or permits the carrying out of any of the Specified Transactions without the production of or and demand for the NIN, commits an offence in contravention of Section 29 of the NIMC Act and shall: Where the offence is committed by a registered individual, such Person shall be liable upon conviction to a fine of not less than N50, 000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira) or imprisonment for a term not less than 6 months or to both such fine and imprisonment; andWhere the offence is committed by a body corporate, the Person shall be liable on conviction to a fine of not less than N1, 000,000.00 (One Million Naira) and in addition, the Chief Executive or the line manager or other similar officer of the body corporate, or any other person purporting to act in any such capacity shall be deemed guilty of that offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of N1, 000,000.00 each” http://itedgenews.com/2015/09/16/end-of-the-unknown-nigerian/# THIS IS THE END FOR THE UNKNOWN NIGERIAN...GMB HMMMMM |

Professor Sola Aderounmu is to lead the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) as its president. The professor of Computer Science from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, defeated Mr. Chris Uwaje, chairman of Lagos based Mobile Software Solutions, to take over baton of leadership at the NCS. The umbrella body of information technology professionals in Nigeria elected its new boss in Akure, western Nigeria after its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in line with its convention. Aderounmu polled 88 votes to Uwaje’s 62. His emergence terminates the two years tenure of Professor David Adewumi, who led the society from 2013. http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/07/28/prof-aderounmu-is-new-president-of-nigeria-computer-society/ |
Nigeria online retail subsector climbs inches higher with the launch of Yudala online and offline stores. Designed to be the first composite retail outlet in the country, the promoters of Yudala are staking their vision to rev up both online retail where the likes of Jumia and Konga already hold sway and mortar and brick retailing where South African Shoprites rides as king. Yudala has inked plans to open 512 shops across Nigeria in local government councils in the next three years. It will be creating 50,000 jobs as it expands its presence across the 36 states targeting Nigeria’s rising middle class with higher disposable incomes. Led by the trio of Tunde Kehinde, one of the founding CEOs of Jumia Nigeria; Stanley Uzoechina, who is in charge of the retail arm; and Prince Nnamdi Ekeh, who is managing the online arm, Yudala is riding on the back of its hefty financial chest and technology backbone, to drive the new theme of composite retailing as it targets over half of Nigeria’s 174 million people. http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/07/28/yudala-opens-frontier-for-nigerias-composite-retailing/# |
President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated that he would only retain or appoint officers with no record of corruption or abuse of public office. He has asked for a profile of all officers heading government departments and agencies to be forwarded to him. “He has a close, trusted team to scrutinize every record and determine if an officer should be retained, sacked and prosecuted,” said one source who should know. A revitalized Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) already has its lens on a number of heads of federal departments and agencies; and is investigating petitions against officers said to have compromised their offices. http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/07/28/government-works-new-list-for-heads-of-agencies/# |
The Nigerian government has dissolved the governing board of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), the country’s IT clearinghouse and that of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the telecom regulator. All other governing boards of federal parastatals, agencies and institutions were similarly dissolved in a sweeping and surprising move that one insider described as President Muhammadu Buhari’s unfolding attempt to clear up the rots within.” The dissolution took effect from July 16, 2015. With the dissolution, fear with uncertainty has gripped many civil servants particularly heads of federal parastatals, agencies and institutions. They fear a purge is in the offing. Already sacked is the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Mr. Patrick Ziakede Akpobolokemi. Accused of official recklessness among others, Akpobolokemi’s appointment was terminated and made public in a short statement by the presidency. According to a statement by President Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, on the dissolution, Chief Executive Officers of the affected parastatals, agencies and institutions are to refer all matters requiring the attention of their boards to the President, through the Permanent Secretaries of their supervising ministries until the boards are reconstituted. http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/07/17/nitda-ncc-boards-others-dissolved/ |

With the dissolution of the governing boards of all federal parastatals, agencies and institutions last Thursday by the government, President Muhammadu Buhari has given hint of further major clean-ups in faraway Washington DC, where he is a guest of US President Barack Obama. The president while speaking on the delay in the formation of a federal executive council said cabinet ministers will be appointed in September only after new rules of conduct have been put in place. A member of the government’s inner caucus explained to IT Edge News in Abuja that the president wants to clean up all the MDAs – ministries, agencies and departments, from inside as advised by the Ahmed Joda Transition Committee. Ministers will have new team of leaders and sub-leaders to work with on assumption of office in September and “a less suffocating environment or one already heavily distorted by corrupt appointees of the former government,” said the source who should know. http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/07/22/buhari-affirms-commitment-to-clean-up-government/# |
Biafra is the name given to the eastern part of Nigeria during the country’s civil war of 1966 -1969 in which many Nigerians, mostly Ibo, perished. The scar of the war still haunts Nigeria’s often violent politics tainted by ethnic and religious interests. But a growing national culture particularly in Nigeria’s fast growing urban centres across the six geo-political zones is thickening the country’s sense of oneness even as Africa’s most populous country of 174 million people struggle with dire corruption, economic crises underscored by falling oil prices, and insurrections in the northeast which has killed thousands and wiped out whole communities. A violent insurrection in the east will further increase the bloodletting and impact most negatively on the Ibo, Igbokwe warned...... We have found solace in all these because we have found out that those who are still oppressing the Igbos in Nigeria are not better. We also take solace in the findings of the Fathers of the Second Vatican Council that all acts of indignity against human persons, against human society debase the perpetrators more than the victims. It is not that the offended cannot forgive but have the offenders repented? This injustice must stop now for the sake of unity of this country. I wrote Igbos: 25 Years After Biafra in 1995 thinking that the book would prick the conscience of other Nigerians but they have not paid any attention to it. It has been business as usual. Now, President Buhari must address this injustice. Case rested! http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/07/15/nigeria-government-pirate-radio-dispute-claims-over-shutdown/ |
Nigeria’s first Software Testing Centre is soon to go into operation. The Software Testing Centre, located in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria is built and funded by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). The Agency is entrusted with charting Nigeria’s IT destiny through a portfolio of mandates under the Statutory Act that established it as the country’s IT clearinghouse. ‘Software testing is the process of executing software in a controlled environment to establish it is functioning as expected and dealing with potential risks before going live or on site.’ Software testing centres operates a ‘process of finding functional faults in the product before it is being launched in the market – the process allows information to be provided to stakeholders regarding the quality of the programme or system under testing.Software testing plays a key role in delivering high quality products and is labour intensive.’ http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/07/14/nitda-prepares-nigeria-for-global-software-testing-services-market/# |
Universities are the bastions of knowledge. In Nigeria, universities constitute the toughest strongholds to resistance to new ways of pursuing knowledge. While many universities around the world, particularly those in the western hemisphere, have leveraged on ICT to deepen and expand the frontiers for sharing and acquiring knowledge, Nigeria universities, particularly the publicly funded ones, remain at the periphery of ICT adoption. As a passing research by Knowhow Media Team proved, universities opting to leverage on ICT to improve efficiency face multiple challenges: funding; unwillingness of the top hierarchy of the university community to change/adopt ICT; incorrigible belief that ICT is costly and complex; and unwillingness of government – the funding organ- to ensure compliance to a national ICT policy initiated to encourage diffusion and adoption of ICT. Funding is a national dilemma that most government institutions must contend with and is not peculiar to the university community. Often, because the decision to integrate ICT into the university faculties as well as the overall administration is that of the senate – the highest decision making organ in a university – funding becomes a pliable excuse to a university administration that is shy of ICT. http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/07/10/why-nigerian-university-administrators-cannot-drive-ict-change/# |
Nigeria’s digital migration dream fell flat on its face owing to lack of political willpower and shortage of fund. Despite all the hips and roaring hopes for a possible catch-up on the June 17, 2015 deadline, Africa’s most populous country of some 180 million had to accept that only a new date of December 2017 would appear more realistic. It’s not cheering news globally, still. Only 48 nations, out of the 119 member countries of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) successfully switched from analogue to digital signal underscoring deep apathy among all ITU member countries that subscribed to the 2006 Geneva agreement but failed to meet the June 17, 2015deadline. Nigeria, like other African countries, is a signatory to the June 17 deadline. http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/07/10/nigeria-works-new-deadline-for-digital-migration-dream/# |

The Kaduna Sate government has signed up to implement an open budgeting system for the state in what would potentially allow citizens to keep track of public earnings and expenditures via their mobile phones. It will be a first in Nigeria where citizens are routinely kept out of how government spends public funds. FinTech startup, BudgIT, announced this publicly via its web window: http://techpoint.ng/kaduna-government-signs-budgit-to-build-open-budget-mobile-portal/. Under the deal which is at no cost to the state government, FinTech startup, BudgIT will develop an open budgeting system for the state. The platform will enable citizens to monitor policies, budgets, procurement records and status of fund release via their mobile phones. The system will improve transparency and accountability in a country notorious for abuse of public funds by state official. An official in Kaduna State Government House who spoke to IT Edge News at the weekend said the “government under Mallam Nasir el Rufai believes the beginning of change is how government is open and transparent enough with the electorates on the state of public funds. Government must demonstrate accountability to win trust.” http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/06/27/kaduna-signs-up-budgit-to-let-citizens-track-public-spending/ |
In-fighting within the All Progressive Congress (APC) over who occupies major offices in the Nigeria’s bicameral legislative assembly worsened over the weekend as the Senate’s President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, chose his men outside of his party’s directive. The directive coached in a formal letter signed by the party’s National Chairman, Chief EK Odigie-Oyegun, was leaked online by some social media blogs. But Saraki in clear defiance to his party’s wishes appointed Senators Ali Ndume and Bala Ibn Na’Allah as senate leaders to set the tone of what direction the Senate will take under him as Senate President. The APC had nominated Senators Ahmed Lawan (Northeast) as senate leader; George Akume (North central) deputy leader; Olusola Adeyeye (South west) chief whip, and Abu Ibrahim (North West) deputy chief whip. None made the list. http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/06/27/apc-in-fighting-thickens-online-as-senator-sarakis-official-response-hits-the-web/ |

A letter by the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, directing the Senate’s President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, to follow through with the party’s choice of principal officers for the upper chamber of the legislative assembly has leaked online to further exacerbate the raging crisis within the party. The stamped ‘received copy’ of the one page confidential letter signed by National Chairman of the APC, Chief EK Odigie-Oyegun, was leaked online by some social media blogs including CKN Nigeria revealing the growing bitterness and infighting over who gets what as the party grapples with managing its grip on power in Abuja, Nigeria’s administrative capital. “That letter was exposed to the media by some persons in the assembly to portray the party and the chairman of the APC in bad light,” said a party’s stalwart not authorised to speak with the press. http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/06/25/apc-chairmans-letter-to-senate-president-on-appointment-of-principal-officers-leaked-online/ |
President Muhammadu Buhari, acting on the report of the All Progressives Congress’ transition committee led by Ahmed Joda is to create a Ministry of Communication, Science and Technology Innovation, a move that will effectively collapse the two ministries of Communication Technology; and Science and Innovation into one single ministry as part of the overall plans of the new government to reduce the ministries and cut costs. The Ministry of Communication Technology was a creation of the erstwhile President Goodluck Jonathan government. Led by former minister Dr Omobola Johnson, the ministry managed Nigeria’s new found global ICT fortune and status relatively well but it didn’t escape critics’ attacks who believed the ministry was both narrowed and unnecessary. http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/06/22/president-buhari-to-fuse-ministry-of-communication-technology-and-ministry-of-science-and-innovation/# |
