francis247:
OP, please stop all these baseless comparisons between ope-source Android and close-source operating systems. Android is a very open, and versatile OS. Have you ever heard of or seen a custom ROM for ios, bb, or windows? have you evey heard or seen any OEM's device running ios, bb, or windows apart from the OEMs that own these close operating systems? The Droid operating system is different, it's unique, heterogeneous, simple and most importantly very free and OPEN. The owners of the Droid OS are seperate from the owners of the OEMs that run OS on their devices hence the difference in UI, sepecs sheet, etc. of every Android Os device. Please restrict your comparisons between the closed source operating systems.

I haven't heard people from any of the towns you mentioned speak their native tongue , to be honest. But based on the region you mentioned (Nnewi South), I suspect that the dialect you are referring to is probably the Orsu lect.

The Orsu 'subethnic group' are found not only in Nnewi South, but also some towns in Ihiala LGA. They also spread into the northern part of Imo, and are found in Orsu LGA, as well as some communities in Orlu LGA.

Can you type a few sentences and their meanings in this dialect?
Pure amichi and igbo ukwu will say
O nge .....what is it
Nwehi......now
Ome angha..how are you

I just cant speak it...this few I can speak ..wasnt born in village did grow up in imo so

The dialect is funny but nice ..have you heard an amichi or nnewi ichi igbo ukwu speak ...u will undetstand

Welcome bros.
Investors don't need much luring, what we need is having visionary leaders and our people leading first.
Sometimes I ask whether Igbos hate their home, you see igbos investing in places without social and economic amenities but when you remind them of the need to take their investments home they will be telling you incompetent our leaders are.

Last year I went to one medical diagnostic center at Oshodi called Mecure, I love what I saw there, the professionalism and the corporate outlook of the company. Igbos have such firms but they are located outside Igboland and the worst part is that they don't as a matter of charity open a branch in their state, only Nnewi people can never do that in Igboland.

What we need is opening up our economic frontiers.
There is no ISP firm in East except the rickety services being rendered by mobile service providers. East used to be sweet when Rainbownet was working, I shed tears with the demise of that coy.

In Lagos there is Swift, Spectranet,Smile,MainOne,

All these ISP firms janpacked in Lagos, Smile is owned by an Igboman, why is he went to take the coy down East and make his money instead of being in Lagos where Swift is dominating the already saturated market.

Fidelity, Diamond, Zenith, UBA, Keystone, are all Igbo banks with useless offices in East while building skyscrapers in Lagos, Unity Bank has head office in Lagos but skyscraper is in Kano.

The biggest thing Arthur Eze did in Anambra was making his hometown LG headquarters though his family built Toronto but he ran down Premier Brewery down.

Igbos need to think East because the heart of Nigerians are no longer happy with their success, nobody believes they will rise again after the war which they did and attracted jealousy and envy.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket is a very good and intelligent economic decision.
Funny most of the ISP and ICT firms are igbo owned ....now mecure ain't igbo but I know we anambra can do it...if they can copy nnewi model . Just go to festac axis u will understand ....if we can open branches in anambra ....it will be good

We have the human capacity

I forgot to mention that these sort of jobs also arise as a consequence of certain nation-building institutions and companies corporate headquarters being located in a particular place or city! This is where the state gov't will come in by luring these institutions and companies to come set up shop in Anambra!.....And for this to happen, there has to be good governance, security, as well as all the other points i raised in my previous post!

ROTFLMFAO @ the article.

I googled the article and excluding FB and ironically this thread, once again linking to the same article on FB, that article is none existence anywhere else. I even then did a search on Ubong E. Daniel in other to read articles from him or learn more on him, ironically one again apart from this article, Ubong E. Daniels appeared in no other article, nor is he a writer even in blogs. Then I did a chronological research on any Ubong Daniels and ironically enough, the name is uncommon. Hilariously enough, the few I did find named Ubong Daniels, none are writers or work for any news media grin grin grin

The second I read "we SS" and the author kept emphasis on the "we ss" rather than just saying "we" or "ss" repeatedly throughout the entire article, like he was trying to make it well known he is SS, I knew something was up hence I researched the article and the author.

You people are gullible as f2k. Common Google search could have saved Una the headache or addressing the content. When the coward stop attaching and write the article using his real name, real region and real identity then I'll address it.

As for SE Igbo, SMH for Una. I thought by now, the whole anambra restaurant serving human meat propaganda that Yoruba cowardly tried to spread to the world as fact would have taught Una lesson. And equally taught una the simple way believing anything from them with a grain of salt and research every single thing they say before believing it but alas, you still have not learned. Smh. With Una mentality, you'll always fall victims to their propaganda. As I've said before, I'm going to say it again, I've given up on Una.

All these grammar na hogwash, yes most of us are illiterates, in fact we don't even know how to spell 'economy' but we know the basics, the basics are that food is on the table of the common man, that things are better than they used to be, not paper economy, not our lives getting better on charts and statistics, not nonsense awards to people whose impact cannot be felt by the common man, not rise in the nation's dept, not borrowing to pay workers salaries. And in the midst of all these there are numerous presidential jets, some militants are feeding fat, there's leakages everywhere in the economy.

With all these what people like you want is for the people who are suffering to be smiling and keep singing the praise of our corrupt leader for either your myopic or whatever reason, tell Yale university to bring their school here for 1yr under NOI's watch, we'll see if they'll still give the nonsense award afterwards.

Boastfulness and inferiority complex. If you were not being 5tupid you would not ask to be given "CREDIT" for that. A piece of 5hit stands out for its offensive smell and what it gets is not "credit" may be you need to check what it means to "give credit"

I have wondered about this myself. I have a friend (who is also a church) member who has sworn publicly never to date talkless of marrying a yoruba girl. He is a yoruba guy (both father and mother are yorubas). He has always dated igbo girls and the closest he has ever got to dating a yoruba is an Edo girl (who he is currently dating). He says yoruba girls are dirty, lousy and rude. I find it surprising cause I am currently dating a yoruba girl and she is the neatest person I have ever met, she is not at all lousy and definitely not rude. Still baffles me though.
