Family › Re: Help! My Husband Is A Night Crawler by chronique(m): 5:56am On Feb 19, 2020
Habits are easily formed but difficult to break away from. Most people who keep late night in marriage, started that lifestyle when they were single and have over the years, gotten used to it. Nigeria of today is too insecure for me to be staying out late even as a single man. The moment I close from work at 6pm, I'm heading straight to my house and won't come out till it's time to go to work the next day. I'm sorry to disappoint you but your hubby isn't changing anytime soon.

Bring back home to where? Inasmuch as I understand their plight, I don't think it's a good thing to bring them back home cos we can't contain the outbreak if it enters this country.

Most people only read/listen and respond for the sake of arguments...I didn't want to reply to this comment earlier cos I see a lot of people have jumped in to reply already... I'll just say this...you guys (and not just you in particular now) should learn to understand a person's point of view in every post first before turning everything to a "them" vs "us" argument...

OP wasn't raising a patriarchy argument. But as usual I see y'all feminism geng jumping all over this thread like that's all it's about. He raised salient points about his fear of marriage and the family structure in general. It's interesting how gender all of a sudden became the Crux of the argument...

Feminism/Gender equality isn't meant to be an attack on men or the traditional family institution (obviously that institution produced better people with strong moral values than what we see today. Throwing it away in the name of feminism/gender equality is just not sound).

They don't have to be mutually exclusive. At this rate, Divorces and broken homes like the OP described will become an all too familiar trend in our society if we don't start thinking with our brains instead of our Instruments (and that goes for both male and female folks)
I swear! Too many daft and stupid people on this forum. Every little thing, they turn it to a them vs us argument(both men and women guilty of this). They never calm down to understand properly before typing. They are always in a hurry to post a comment and when you check out their lives in the real world, they are full of mistakes here and there just cos they are not patient to analyze issues before forming an opinion.

I'm not even going to comment on the topic the OP has created. I'm actually more bothered about the thought processes of some men and women on this thread. No wonder marriages never work these days. Too many idiots around thinking they are woke. Shame on you lots.

The COP of the state said he knows NOT what caused the killings of the 30 villagers.
bt our "darling" president has concluded that the killings is as a result of retaliation of the villagers taking laws into hand.

I'm sorry to say this but PMB is a big fool!!!
My brother, don't be sorry to say it. I boldly join you to state that buhari is a big food and I doubt Nigeria has ever seen one as foolish as him. Can you just imagine what a so called president is uttering from his putrid mouth?

@ OP: stop being mischievous. If Nnamdi kanu had come into the country, he wouldn't even have been allowed to pay his last respect to his parents before being bundled away so it was a very wise decision to stay away. He would have been too foolish to come into the country for that.

I'm curious as to how a corper who reported at school for official assignment on the first day, suddenly found herself in a vehicle with the owner of the school, heading to his house and even went as far as going into the house with him until she got raped. What was she going to his house with him for during working hours?

How do you go to work all day, come back at night and go keep vigil at your gate and will still go to work next day? Anyways, I ended up hiring a security guard with instructions to monitor and take down anyone seen coming close to the gate to drop any fetish thing at night.

Hustle ooo!!

Make you no get space for brain to dey think of fetish people.
Stop talking nonsense, these things are real. What of me that as at 2/3 years ago, they used to come and pour charm in front of the gate of my house in a way that I'd have to walk over or drive over it when coming out of my house? They'd spread the thing from one end of my fence to the other end and it's only in front of my house they'd put the thing. On a whole street, it's only in front of my house that they would come around spread corn and millet when it's not like I'm joining them to sell corn. I asked around and was told they use it to collect people's blessing and it's common amongst muslims and Cele people. Guess when they usually do it? Most times when I have concluded big transactions with profits running into millions and all I'm waiting for is credit alert the next day. By the time I wake up next morning to go out, I'd meet the rubbish there and when I get to the office, the entire day will just be useless and whatever biz I had concluded previous day, won't happen again. That nonsense kept happening until I went to report to the CDA chairman and other members of the landlord association and I told them I was ready to behead whoever was doing that nonsense to me and ready to go to jail for it and I meant it cos I was already getting frustrated. They had to go announce it in the association meeting and also told their members to warn their tenants. It was shortly after that stern warning that the person doing it stopped it. Terrible things are happening. During that period, I got to realize that the vigilante people guarding the area have caught people bathing naked at the center of the road in the middle of the night before and when accosted and asked why they were doing it, they couldn't explain anything. These are people with functional bathrooms in their houses o.

Family › Re: I Want To Leave My Wife For My Girlfriend by chronique(m): 11:14am On Feb 08, 2020
@OP: you described your wife as a fantastic partner and said so many lofty things about her. That to me, is a lot of good news. Do you know why so many of us are still single? It's because we have spent several years of our lives searching for the kind of partner you have but are/were unlucky to meet one. You see that woman who gives you priceless peace and joy at home, she's worth more than a thousand pussies that gives you the best sex styles outside. What you have is what a lot of people are dying to have. I understand that as men with healthy libido, we always need mind blowing sex to keep us sane and relaxed and all that but the truth is, you should never trade that for a partner who gives you peace. Keep talking to your wife and let her know that the lack of good sex between you guys is killing things. You can subtly ask her if she would prefer you paying sex workers to satisfy you so you don't stress her. Listen to her and watch her body language. I'm very sure she would nearly bring hell down. Then let her know she has to seat up and be up and doing. Sex is an integral part of any union be it just a relationship or a marital union. Don't let anybody try and downplay the importance of this to you. However, you need to apply wisdom and maturity in dealing with this situation but leaving your wife for that small girl is not even an option worth thinking of. It's a very silly idea and I don't blame you cos we all sometimes, think really stupid things. However, acting it out is what determines if we are foolish or not.
Family › Re: Don't Marry Me If You Won't Allow My Relations To Stay Or Visit Me. by chronique(m): 5:38am On Feb 07, 2020
I don't know what you guys are arguing about but I guess it has to do with how you all were raised. What are your relatives coming to do in your house if not to visit and go? If your relative has accommodation problem, can't you sort them out if you can afford it? If you don't have the means to sort it out immediately, it's a different ball game. I don't think any woman would be crazy enough to ask her husband's family not to visit him in the house but when it comes to his family members coming to stay with him, it's a different thing all together. On the issue of people going to other people's pots, you guys need to have sense. The kitchen is a woman's office in the home and you don't have the right as a visitor or family member to just go into the kitchen to start serving yourself food. Even if you don't have sense naturally, the moment you go to a married couple's house, you should at least pretend you have sense and respect yourself. Except the lady is the free type that askes you to go into the kitchen and serve yourself, you have to wait to be served.

That woman looks frustrated and pained. What she did was a disgrace and not something someone in her position should do. I wonder how nasty she would be behind closed doors to people who are close to her if she can behave like this in public. Trump might not be perfect and they might not agree on certain things but that attitude she put up was very embarrassing.

Blabla bla which region has not done the same

Igbo's don't have ideology yet u accuse them of sticking to PDP no matter what ....what has this got to do with Igbo presidency

Onu has been with buhari since 2003 without changing party ...point any south west politician u can say same about
Sticking with pdp has been because the Pdp has always been the main and dominant party in the region and the people never really liked apc. If it was based on ideology, apga would have been a better place to go to. My grouse isn't because they defected but in the way and manner it was done. It shows how clueless these folks are.
Politics › Re: Uche Ogbuagu: Why I Dumped Ihedioha, PDP For APC by chronique(m): 10:26am On Feb 01, 2020
To be honest, the igbos do not deserve the presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria cos when you take a critical look at them and how they play politics, you'd find that "self satisfaction" tops their major aim when in government, than any other thing. Secondly, most of them are only loyal to money and not ideology. The way the pdp state house of assembly members easily defected, shows why they should never be trusted with power at the Federal level. I used to be one of those agitating for the igbos to also produce a president but from the what has happened in Imo state, I'd rather the north continues in power.

I have no issues with you sending her your nudes cos truly when people fall in love, they do all manner of crazy things out of love which is fine by me so long as it makes both lovers happy. What I have a problem with, is you sending full nudes with your face in it. Were you trying to get a movie role in a porn movie or what? How old are you exactly that you'd send your full nude photos with your face showing, to an entire stranger that has nothing to lose if things go sour? How do you prove that she truly is an Indian? Mr man, carry your L and go in peace.

Simply shows that these people do not understand the problems of the party. Name change is not the issue but the behavior and attitude and character of those running the party and contesting for elections are the issues. Even if you change the name and give an idiot the party ticket, you still won't win.
