Op, why is this protest all about 2face. I have said it before that 2face is not a poor man by any stretch of imagination. He can afford not to care like a lot of our so called "prominent people". But posterity will be the judge at the end of the day. The reason people think 2face should keep quiet is the very same reason why i think he should use the platform God has given him to make his voice heard.

If you are a blind Buhari supporter, Mr. Innocent Idibia is not your problem. President Buhari is. Face him and tell him to up his game and deliver on his electoral promises. You did not elect him to run Nigeria catastrophically on auto-pilot as he is currently doing. At any rate, if you are a patriot, your loyalty will always be to Nigeria and not to any President.

CelebritiesRe: Lecturer, Dare Arowolo Blasts 2face Over Protest: You Benefited From Kleptocracy by citee(m): 10:08pm On Jan 31, 2017
I wonder the type of so called lecturers we have in this country. In other progressive countries, lecturers and indeed the academia are usually at the fore front of social crusades to bring about positive change in the society. While not holding brief for Tuface, i believe he has every right to mobilize people to protest against what he perceives as injustice in the society. To question his moral right for demanding a better society now and not when Jonathan was in power is just being simplistic. In that regard then we all should be held accountable because we benefited from lower petrol prices despite the massive corruption that was going on in the country. So now that inflation has reached an all time high of 18.6% are we to be silent because we all took part in fuel subsidy with the previous administration of Jonathan claimed to have spent heavily on.
By all standards Tuface is a rich man but as the saying goes you are equally poor if you are the only rich man in the midst of poor people.

Hmmmmm

The giant elephant in the room is that Nigeria does not have a sustainable means of earning enough foreign currency for our treasury.

The current means of earning forex via selling oil, and other raw materials is no longer sustainable.

We need better and more stable means....like encouraging more non-oil and non-agric exports. It is a lot of hard work...but we will get there.

Also, we have to stop importing things that we can produce....or at least improving the quality of locally produced goods so that they can compete favorably with imported stuff.

So...govt and people....we get work.
@op well said!A lot of people are not aware that we have good quality products being made here in Nigeria. The other day i ordered for a pair of shoes on Jummia made by O'tega shoes and the quality was really good. So on a personal level, i have resolved henceforth to patronize only made in Nigeria goods unless and except where they are not available

PhonesAirtel Mifi Fraud by citee(op): 10:22am On Nov 09, 2016
I bought an Airtel Mifi modem at Slot store, Simbiat Abiola way, Ikeja on 2nd November 2016. I was told by the Airtel agents at the shop that the modem cost N20,000 and comes with 30GB data valid for 60 days. After making payment, i was asked to pay another N1,000 to activate the simcard, making a total of N21,000 i paid.
The line was activated late on that day but i noticed the data there was only for the N1,000 i paid. So i called up one of the agents who gave me his name as Hazan who promised to check and get back to me on why the 30GB was not credited to me. He later called to inform me that he was told the 30GB was a promo offer and it ended on the 31st of October 2016.
I asked him what i was supposed to do now since it was unthinkable for me to have paid N20,000 to get just a modem without any free data. He asked my to call the customer service line and make a complaint which i did. I was told by the customer service agent that she could not give me any information on the reason why i was not given the 30GB or if there was any promo which ended on 31st October.
Right now i feel defrauded and very upset. Why do our companies act like this. When there is a situation, the consumer is left on their own. So i now have to go to Slot to go and fight with the agents who sold me the modem when the organisation should have been the one to look into the case.
PoliticsRe: Believe Me, This Buhari Cabinet Isn’t Flying - By Dele Momodu by citee(m): 6:42pm On Sep 25, 2016
HungerBAD:
Dele Momodu.

It is just sad, that somebody who knows how to get across to the President should now descend this low,by dancing to the the dance rhythm of a section of the polity, which for a lack of better definition,I will call the wailers.

So I went through his write up,and to be fair to him. Some of the issues and points he raised are valid ones, but there are ways he could have sent his ideas and working policies to the Presidency, but what did he do?he went to the Public to post,so as to make a mockery of this Government.

The way human nature is,is that everybody becomes a Medical Doctor when somebody becomes sick, with funny Prescriptions . So Nigeria is going through a temporary economic challenge, and everybody, including Dele Momodu has now turned into an Economist.

What did he study again?Yoruba. A man with a first degree in Yoruba Language, all of a sudden wants to be an Economic Adviser.

A man with a Masters Degree in English Language, all of a sudden is knowing more than Buhari's sound Economic teams, who are busy trying to pull us out from the pit hole the PDP dug and threw us in.

Dele Momodu should stick to his Glossy Magazine business, and leave the Serious matter of Governance to those in the know about Governance.

My friend, your reply to Dele Momodu is symptomatic of the problem we have in this country. Most times we shoot the messenger and ignore the message.
Instead of questioning Dele Momodu's right to air his opinion like everyone else who is a stake holder in this country ,you choose to down play the issues he has raised.
For the avoidance of doubt i am a staunch APC supporter. I queued up like millions across the country to vote for PMB. I felt at the time he represented a better deal than GEJ. And like many also i am feeling we were all fooled by the APC.
May i also state that unlike Dele Momodu, i am an Economist so maybe that qualifies me to speak about the state of our economy according to you.
People need jobs, and other basic necessities of life. They are not asking for high paying jobs but just basic jobs that can put food on the table. It is time to stop the blame game which has been going on since this govt came to power.
It is disingenuous for the govt to suggest selling national assets to fund current budget when we know at the end of the day these assets are going to find their way into the hands of patrons of the govt.
@poster, maybe you need to go back to your APC principals and tell tell we are sick and tired of their excuses.

TravelRe: Nigerian Company Selling Kerosene To Airlines As Jet Fuel! by citee(m): 5:19pm On Dec 22, 2011
As the proud owner of a brand new $25million Gulfstream4 luxury jet, Pastor Eunuch Adejale need not be concerned if his aircraft is "accidentally" filled up with cooking kerosene rather than with jet fuel, since Big Daddy has already invented a car whose engine reportedly ran for 200 miles with NO fuel other than prayer.

With such a proven background in alternative fuel MODALITIES, similar prayers can easily be deployed as needed by Pastor Adebole, for the purpose of converting into Jet-A1 fuel ANY liquid piped into the tanks of his bird.

From the above any wonder why our students are always failing their NECO and other exams.
