What is the State's emergency number?
111 0r 999 or the 7411 number being processed as Nigeria's new emergency number?
In any case, the govt. of Enugu can still use the gsm Police numbers being used presently.

My fear is that many people don't even know that GSM police number to report suspicious activities or even call for a timely Police help during a robbery attack.
PoliticsRe: Why Can't The Anambra State Government Build The Second River Niger Bridge??? by cjrane: 3:19am On Jun 02, 2013
Duru1: I am not talking about airstrips. You could have cited Asaba or even Owerri airport. Lagos would have been a mosquito-infested Lagoon baring the presence of the government of federal republic of Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Why Can't The Anambra State Government Build The Second River Niger Bridge??? by cjrane: 5:54pm On Jun 01, 2013
Sunny_bobo: Op are you kidding me? The 2nd Niger bridge is to gulp an estimated 100 billion naira. That is more than 90% of Anambra state annual budget for the current year.
By the way, the misnomer that the Niger Bridge is in Anambra is very mischievous.
It is an Inter State Bridge located at the boundary of Anambra and Delta States.
95% of the vehicles using that bridge come from South West and North. The Murtala Mohammed airport Lagos might be located in Lagos, but many of the passengers using the airport aren't necessarily native Lagos indigenes.
PoliticsRe: Civilians Among Dead In Nigeria's Boko-Haram Offensive - Aljazeera by cjrane: 3:57am On Jun 01, 2013
These are the same Boko Haram moles embedded in the army that furnish them with operational info. and sometimes kill their fellow soldiers if nobody is watching.
Al jazeera and some of these Hezbollah middle east groups have a hidden agenda to ruin Nigeria for their own selfish gains. Their propaganda against soldiers risking their lives to keep Nigeria safe for the ordinary man have failed.
SHAME ON ALJAZEERA!

Why do u think its the west that will suffer most.
I agree with you. Without Nigeria, the artificial congregation and concentration of the entire national business enterprise in the SW will naturally cease.

I wish FG can build something closer to that one posted above by IGBO_SON with good network of road frm Onistha to Enugu then the Asaba airport will surly turn to soccer pitch.lol...na play o!cheesy
The problem with Nigeria and Nigerians is the unfortunate mentality that progress in one part of the country must hinder the progress in another. That is the root cause of the bad belle between the North vs. South and the East vs. West.
Connecticut,(a small American State) is sandwiched between 3 major International airports, two in New York. The Laguardia Intl. airport and JFK, and the Boston International. Yet,Connecticut's Bradly Intl. airport is just as busy as Newark's airport!
The point here being that even if Anambra decides to build an airport this minute, the Enugu Intl. and Asaba Int. shall still have enough space to operate and develop on their own.It is not only Onitsha traders that fly in Nigeria!

God bless u too. Watch out for the new international terminal that is under construction.
Nigeria has the capacity to become a truly powerful developed country. I had always said the difference between south Africa and Nigeria is that Nigeria refused to develop, while white-men continued to develop south Africa at a ferocious rate.
PoliticsRe: "Thief" Buhari Exposed!!! by cjrane: 11:05pm On May 27, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: The actions and inactions of General Muhammadu Buhari as the head of The Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), inaugurated by the Abacha govt, exposed the cluelessness and fraudulent nature of the retired general.

Details of the colossal waste, ineptitude, FRAUD and cluelessness associated with PTF were exposed in an exclusive report by Pointblank news recently.

The OBJ govt did set up an Interim Management Committee (IMC) in 2000 to look into the affairs of PTF. Below are HIGHLIGHTS of the atrocities perpetrated under the watchful eyes of Buhari (According to Pointblank news exclusive report):

1 The total public funds to be recovered from various contractors, banks and consultants amounted to about Twenty five billion, seven hundred and fifty eight million five hundred and thirty two thousand four hundred and forty eight Naira.

In other words, about N25billion was STOLEN

2 PTF Assisted HIV/ AIDS Programmes : The intervention of PTF in the HIV/AIDS was flawed due to professional negligence by the management consultants. There was an EXCESSIVE order of HIV/AIDS kits which resulted in most of the kits expiring before use. Also there was GROSS INFLATION of the purchase price. The two factors combined resulted in a loss of N 579,000,000 (Five hundred and seventy nine million Naira only).

3 PTF Intervention Programmes : PTF intervention in the health sector input programmes totalled to about N 9 billion Naira. The projects were executed by the management consultantsand PTF in-house staff. In this sector there are three glaring areas of loss: (a) Purchase of specific frames which was done at N 1,900 each while they can be purchased locally at a price between N 80 and N 880. This resulted in total loss of N 45, 270,000 (b) Purchase of ambulances which was done at N 13,000,000 each instead of the price of N 3,000,000 each. This resulted in total loss of N 900,000,000 (Nine hundred million Naira only). (c) Purchase of drugs was done to the tune of N 3.08 billion. Price inflation and expiring of drugs resulted in a loss to PTF of about N 1, 500, 000,000 ( one billion, fivehundred million Naira)

4 PTF Prevalence Expiring Drugs All Over The Country: A team of Pharmacists were commissioned to verify the Drugs Revolving Fund Programmes. Their findings were very depressing. A huge loss has been incurred by PTF as enumerated below:- (a) Drugs and consumables worth N 817, 831,723 (Eight hundred and seventeen million, eight and thirty one thousand seven hundred and twenty three Naira only) were found to have expired by October, 1999 (b) another quantity of drugs worth N 94, 741, 517 expired in December, 1999 (c) drugs worth N 233, 416, 829 will expire by March 2000 (d) Drugs worth N 461, 255,073 will expire by June 2000 (e) Drugs worth N 429, 117, 861 will expire by September, 2000 (f) Drugs worth N 1, 196, 276, 052 will expire by October- December, 2000.

There were many cases of deterioration of drugs as a result of faulty manufacturing, inappropriate packaging, improper storage and excess stock.

5 PTF Residential Estate: The involvement of PTF in Residential Estate Development was out of its intervention sphere. As at now, the estate has been confiscated by government. The contract sum is N 703, 815, 416 (Seven hundredand three million, eight hundred and fifteen thousand four hundred and sixteen Naira only) while after verification, the whole project was valued at N 328, 901, 521(Three hundred and Twenty Eight Million nine hundred and one thousand, five hundred and twenty one Naira only). There was an inflation of the contract to the tune of N 374, 913, 895 (Three hundredand seventy four million, nine hundred and thirteen thousand eight hundred and ninety five Naira only).

6 PTF Headquarters Extension: The IMC Commissioned Consultants to determine the current construction cost of the on-going extension at the headquarters office. The current construction cost determined by the Consultant came to N 326, 207, 861 (Three hundred and twenty six million, two hundred and seven thousand, eight hundred and sixty one Naira only) as against a contract sum of N 461, 216, 759 (Four hundred and sixty one million, two hundred and sixteen thousand, seven hundred and fifty nine Naira only) this resulted in contract sum inflation of N 135, 008, 879 (One hundred and thirty five million, eight thousand eight hundred and seventy nine Naira only).

7 Rural Water Supply Programme The area of potential fund recoveries under this programme are basically two :- (i) Mobilisation paid to contractors who by now have not even commenced work (ii) OVER PRICING of contracts. The amount to be recovered from this project sector can be conservatively estimated at N 1,000,000,000 (One billion Naira).
In civilized societies,Buhari should be in jail. I met his daughter Aisha once in Akwa Ibom. They way they outrageously spent money just made you feel sick about Nigeria.

It is all these stolen money meant for development and education of the youths that have caused many youths to become hopeless and join Boko Haram.
The same Buhari that caused their misfortune in life is the same person providing them arms to go and commit suicide. It is just a very sad case of how some people useless the lives of others and try to benefit from their hopelessness.

PoliticsRe: 2,000 Soldiers, Jets Deployed To Borno by cjrane: 3:51pm On May 15, 2013
2000 soldiers is too small. Those terrorists are in their thousands and have blended with the population. So more than 2000 soldiers would be needed for a surge of forces to work. They also need helicopter gunship support for the ground troops.
PoliticsRe: Igbo Community In Kogi To Raise N200m Fund For College by cjrane: 5:47pm On May 14, 2013
One reason i respect Yoruba people is that they do not consider anywhere else home, but yorubaland. If not, yoruba would have "owned" Port Harcourt judging the huge population of very wealthy yorubas in that city, the way Igbos "owned" Lagos. Igbos on the other hand are the exact opposite. Everywhere else is home except Igboland !

Anyhow, i have lived in Idah (Igala-land, Gboko and Makurdi for nysc). Igala,Tiv or Idoma people are actually friends of Ndigbo.Although Tiv sometimes are so afraid of the north that they sometimes attack Igbos. But from Gboko to Idah to Ayangba, are peaceful and very hardworking people. I really don't know about Lokoja or Igbirra people. But i hope people building schools there understand that the people can easily misunderstand their undertaking a duty meant for the government to mean they are now the government itself. They should thread with caution.

I don tok my own.

[size=20pt]Who is the Lazy thief?
The man who steals another man's resources instead of developing his own,or the man who fights for his God given resources against thieves using the fraudulent name nigeria to justify their thievery?
Just like the sponsors of Boko haram did not see anything wrong in Nigeria in 2007 because their own Yar'adua benefited from the sham called election, but started blowing things up because GEJ is now president, the ND militants should wait for GEJ to complete his tenure in 2019, then furiously smash all oil installations, until no oil is produced from the Niger Delta region. Let their President use their groundnut to fund development in Nigeria
