horsepower101:Nonetheless, i appeal to our people to wise up. We should begin to boycott anyone who participates in the economic war against Igbos. They are watching closely to see if our people will respond to their acts of wickedness or not. If we continue acting in our usual nonchalant ways of not paying attention to important things like these, these people will continue to extinguish Igbo businesses one at a time. Their sole purpose is to pauperize us and make us inferior to them in Nigeria. It is up to us to help them do it, or protest with our pocket by choosing what and whose products we buy. |
horsepower101:Without building these types of cheap apartments, it would be impossible for Igbos to live in Igboland. Also, the entire cities in Igboland would have been covered with massive slums bigger than anywhere in the world. We NEED much more of these types of buildings if there will be any hope of giving everyone a decent home in the southeast. The only regret was that in the past we used our own Nkalagu cement to do it. Today, the Fulanis have conspired to make sure only them dominate the cement industry to force us into using and depending on Fulani cement to develop. It is dangerous turn of events to depend on Fulani cement when we have limestone in abundance in Igboland and highly unacceptable to depend on foreigners for survival. I appeal to everyone of us to boycott DANGOTE cement when building their projects. The man specifically killed IBETO cement and now want to claim the Igbo market. The same Igboland he finds repulsive when ever he wants to invest in any projects in Nigeria. Igbos are only good to be exploited and fake cement sold to them. I wish our people can begin to patronize other brands because of the wickedness of these people towards Igbo owned businesses in Nigeria. We need to protest or the economic war against Igbos in Nigeria will never stop |
DawatNama:God bless you brother! The hatred towards Igbo is worse when they see any type of progress in the East. They took ALL the federal projects, Federal jobs, Federal Civil service, and all economic enablers, like sea ports, yet they are not happy. The worst is that they target innocent hard working people to try and kill their business simply because they are Igbo. See what DANGOTE did to IBETO and what GT bank is trying to do to INNOSON. They ban Igbo companies at the flimsiest excuses. Yet, somebody like DANGOTE who will not build even a hurt in the entire SE is selling most of his cement to Igbos? Why can't Igbos buy other brands to protest the evil actions of these people against Igbo people? Why are we always distracted from doing what we must to boycott these people trying so hard to impoverish us? I am hoping contractors like Spyder and other home owners try to buy cement from other companies and NOT Dangote. If IBETO did what Dangote did, the Emirs will issue a Fatua that anyone selling his cement or products in northern Nigeria be attacked by the youths of the area. We should start thinking seriously and sanction anyone that plots the destruction of Ndigbo NOT GIVING THEM CHIEFTAINCY TITLES ! http://www.igbofocus.co.uk/What-Crime-Did-lbeto-Commit--H/what-crime-did-lbeto-commit--his-crime-is-being-an-igboman.html https://www.naija.ng/2279.html#46308

Abagworo:THE SAME DANGOTE GUY THAT KILLED IBETO CEMENT, NOW COMES TO BUILD CEMENT WAREHOUSE AND SELL US FULANI CEMENT IF AN IGBOMAN DID THIS, NORTHERNERS WOULD HAVE SKINNED HIM ALIVE. YET WE WILL FOOLISHLY BUY HIS CEMENT INSTEAD OF UYING OTHER BRANDS TO PROTEST THE WAR AGAINST IGBO BUSINESSES http://www.nigerianeye.com/2012/07/dangotes-suit-against-ibeto-is-anti.html

free2ryhme:Fulanis have guts in NIGERIA see what they are writing no wahala |
Tsunami in southern Nigeria because every gutter is blocked. |
aniomafirstson:You are NOT an Anioma person, so don't speak for us! We have NEVER demanded for Onitsha and will NEVER do so. We want Anioma state on the present Ika land in Delta state. PERIOD! |
Ndigbo don't need presidency from you or any Fulani. Besides, you know this is a silly APC scam to get their votes. Ndigbo need freedom to live as decent people either as citizens of Nigeria or citizens of Biafra. One day Ndigbo will exhaust every patience of asking this basic right and take by force. |
BuhariNaWah:You know thats why Op took that picture right? |
stanluiz:Yes, i agree that a restructured Nigeria is better than disintegration of Nigeria. It took Eritrea to leave Ethiopia before they changed their constitution and allowed restructuring so that autonomous regions could come together as a federating unit. Yes, it took a war wit Eritrea for that type of justice to prevail. As mush as we hate war, THERE WILL BE ANOTHER WAR IN NIGERIA. Just mark my words. Yes, we will not ask for it, but it will be thrust upon us and we will find ourselves fighting just to stay alive. A time will come when your mother and sisters will be stripped in public and asked to denounce their faith or they are raped and murdered. You won't be told when the war is thrust upon you. You will know when you have no other option but fight the invader army massing at your border right now and asking for your land to graze his animals by force. |
I love how guys are putting all green energy systems in place. Men, see solar boilers are being installed in Onitsha! i have only seen this in Australia. Yet, it's already taking shape in Anambra! Tomorrow some eediot will tell me that there is no new innovation by Nigerians to solve the power crisis once and for all. The way homes finally solved the water crisis that ravaged the SE in the 1980s and 1990s through building home with boreholes as a basic standard home today. With all these innovations, soon people living in Nigeria will be more comfortable than those living abroad. Right now, the only attraction abroad is stable electricity, which people will soon be getting through solar electricity.
|
The APC politicians will simply share the Abacha money among themselves for elections |
investnow2013:Hopefully, people will adequately learn how to align the batteries for the best charge and reduced draining of the cells. All the same, this is a very good development. Hopefully very soon, we will have cheaper and more efficient solar panels and better batteries for power storage. That will gradually replace the use of noisy, fuel guzzling generators for power in Nigeria. |
selemempe:LIE Mohammed is a disgrace to Nigeria. He lies without respect for even his own father. I wonder what Fashola has to say about this federal road that he told us was done with Sukuk funds. |
spyder880:Thank you for taking time to explain the situation. I know a boy in Onitsha that asked his parents to give him N100 billion naira to start business or else he would burn down the parents house and kill the father. The boy's friends cajoled him by saying he would not even be able to count N1 billion naira talk more of N100 billion naira. The youths of today just say things without even thinking how feasible they are based on available resources. Most of these guys have NEVER lived abroad. They are only imagining things from movies. Which is very far from reality abroad. So they wake up and advocate why we cannot build bridges all over the city for mini intra city rail network. Why we cannot build 50 storey building apartment complexes, why we cannot build a sewage system overnight, why we cannot just build 10 million duplexes to solve the housing deficit and so on. Of course there are cheap things we could do to make our environment habitable. Such as planting A LOT of trees and flowers along the roads and around public buildings such as schools and hospitals. However, from their write ups, you immediately know they have never analyzed Nigeria's gross earning from oil and how much the national budget is worth. Their fantasies expose the fact that they are children who cannot match the ability of the available resources to address those types of fantasy projects. In a state whose budget is less than $400 million dollars per year to cater for more than 5 million people, you are talking about a project that will cost $5-20 billion dollars? It shows how disconnected from reality that they are. I always ask them why they and their father are poorer than Dangote who is obviously younger than their father. Why haven't they made enough money despite being older than Dangote? When you ask them questions like that, they are forced to face reality for a minute and think. If everything were simply there for the asking, everyone would be a millionaire, just as every country in the world would be rich and afford to build anything they like. Those countries he thinks are heaven and earth also struggle with a lot of issues. Nigeria is making progress and we will get there. |
Xander85:The isn't even weird enough. I know another that buried his father in a BMW jeep. Meanwhile, the road to his father's compound is untarred, he does not have constant electricity in his home, nor are his workers paid well or regularly. Put everything together and you know they aren't rich, but just trying to show off through weird behaviors. The type of things illiterate rich boys do confirms they are in an evil secret society. If they do these now, think of what they will do when they are as rich as Arthur Eze, Ibeto, INNOSON or even Adenuga or Dangote. They will probably build a refrigerator to sleep inside. i don't even watch those weird videos. It only bothers me that most of them are Igbo guys based in South Africa. |
NonsoWow:Urban renewal of Okpoko and other slum areas cannot be achieved in 4 years. It takes a lot of energy and very very little dividend on overall improvement of the entire state. Renewal of Okpoko, Obosi etc must be approached gradually. The most urgent need is to begin opening up planned estates for the 4 to 5 storey buildings just as we have planned estates for duplexes now. There need to be brand new areas in Oba, Nkwelle Ezunaka, Umunya etc for well designed 4 to 5 storey buildings. The way 4 to 5 storeys have been built without adequate plan has not been the global best practices. We need to begin building those multi-flat / apartment buildings to be very modern just like in other areas of the world.

globemoney:Exactly. Gradually, more Okada people will gradually buy Keke and buses and everything will normalize I remember growing up in Onitsha and riding coaster buses from Upper Iweka to Main Market and from Main Market to Savoy. The advent of Okada killed all that modern bus transport system within the city. I remember when i saw the first Okada in Onitsha in 1992. It was a shock because Okada transportation mode was only seen in Abakaliki and Uyo then. Gradually, that anomaly grew in Onitsha to the extent that when Okada was banned in Abakaliki and Uyo, it persisted in Anambra! Hopefully, coaster and other beautiful buses will all return and even bigger buses to take more people cheaply around the city. I just want to congratulate Anambra people and their governor for finally shedding the primitive okada transport system. Pretty much every other state in the south has already banned Okada mode of transportation for more than 10 years now. I am so glad to see Anambra finally join the fold as we gradually march to develop into Anambra into a standard global metropolitan center. |
micheal34:If Fulani is had crude oil they will NOT share it with any Nigerian. The will kill and bomb any Nigerian that dates to head NNPC who isn't fulani. |
arinzeejikonye:Abeg, which be Buhari mega pass again? Is Buhari helping the state in anyway to build it or even build any project at all? Umahi is the worst hypocrite in igboland |
![]() Who are they fooling? They should arrest and prosecute the killers. But they won't because they will send them to another Christian area to kill villagers. |
sassysure:What you said is 100% true. People say it's the weather, but if you have lived in the north, you will notice they have enough grassland for the cows. It is the insatiable southern consumption of beef driving these herdsmen southwards not conveniently weather as claimed. The herdsmen don't bother about staying in the north to sell their fatty beef because the average northerner isn't such a big beef eater. We need to do something about this addiction before it kills everyone. We are arming the same people killing us and that folly must stop. Southerners need to make a small change in their diet by substituting beef for Turkey,Chicken etc to remove the incentive to bring all the cows in the north to the southern markets and help stop this carnage going on. |
melodyogonna:Yes, even to get from Onitsha to Lagos requires money too. We can give all the excuses in the world why we only need to be Lagos to survive. It's okay. You don't need to set up a "COMPANY" just to get jobs. All those billionaires at Onitsha market never set up a "COMPANY" in one room store to make a living. I always use Spyder as example. He knows he has skill to design and build, he set up his own group that even hires other people too. If he was waiting for Julius Berger to hire him in Lagos and PH as an engineer, he will be jobless today. But because he is using his God-given brain and skills, he is able to provide for his family and even employ many others in the process. My entire advise is that if you went to New York, you will see big plumbing corporations that can hire 10,000 people. So people go there to get all types of salary jobs. In the same way if you went to a medium city in Texas, individuals open their own plumbing shops and perhaps employ 2 - 3 people. They advertise their telephone numbers on sign boards so that people can come to their shop or call them when they have plumbing jobs. People still make a decent living too without working for big corporations. Let me use another example. If you are an architect or civil engineer, instead of looking endlessly for a job with an engineering firm, get three or four of your class mates and you guys can hire one of the shops and call your enterprise "Unique Architects Incorporation" or whatever you like. When people need an Architect to design a building, they come to you in that office and then you will charge for your services instead of staying at home expecting when some company will hire you. My advise was that these plazas should be utilized by folks that have a unique skill to set up their own office where people can come and meet them to give them jobs to do. |
PDP needs Atiku more than Atiku needs that ticket. PDP must stop the greed of some people and help Atiku save Nigeria from Buhari's madness. Only Atiku has what it takes to defeat Buhari and Buhari knows it. |
spyder880:Oga Spyder, thank you for posting these plazas. I hope they are affordable and the youths that need to set up something are watching. Somebody once asked if there were any companies in the SE that pays N150 per month salary. My answer to that person is to STOP looking for somebody's company to pay you N150,000 per month. SET UP YOUR OWN BUSINESS! Whatever you can do, find a decent place to set up. If you are a good plumber, instead of waiting for a plumbing company to employ you, set up your own plumbing company and let people call you to come to their homes and fix plumbing issues. If you are into selling ready made African fabrics, learn to have local tailors to sew it for you to reduce cost instead of importing already sewed stuff from Senegal and complaining about low profit margin. These are things that the youth need to be doing. Look for productive and services venture where you can use as your own business and not looking for who will employ you. I am hoping these types of modern business plazas are established more than building more open markets. Although open markets are good, they need to be modernized and kept clean.

SalamRushdie:This proves that they truly have an islamization agenda. It is all a well crafted drama playing out. Why hasn't any of the murderous fulani herdsmen ever been caught and tried in court? But if you retaliate, army, police and navy will look for you and even to bring you to court? |
Sometimes you wonder if the mental retardation was a result of the kwashiokor or something. I tire for Nigerians. |
^^^^^^^ E don do. Abeg if una wan dash money or not go ahead. Not to come here and quarrel over names, when money has not exchanged hands yet. |
