Their next plan is to plan the brutal murder of some villages. Once they do that, the youths should pounce on ALL Fulani settlements in the entire region with Molotov cocktail
SE doesn't even have enough land for human beings, it is cattle ranches they should donate the scarce land for. Meanwhile, there is enough empty land in Sambisa and many northern states that will comfortably fit 30 ranches, but they are only interested in places without land. |

Also Xander85, do you know that about 4 to 5 years ago, when you gooogle pictures of cities in the south east, I was very difficult to find any decent pictures and so many of them were outdated.
But thanks to picture threads from Nairaland and other forums, today there is more pictures available on google. But we can still do better. There is this yoruba guy, "Fuji Films" that have replaced all the nice pictures of Enugu and other SE cities on google with fake village pictures he took. Then he uploaded fake pictures of wonderful places as Ibadan, Ife and Idanre Each time i wonder why those guys are so concerned with undermining the SE than develop their area. Please those that know how to change pictures of cities on google should do so.

ChimaAdeoye: SPECIAL APPEAL TO GOVERNOR WILLIE OBIANO
Re: Dualization of Onitsha -33 - Nsugbe- Umuleri-Aguleri Road (Nkisi Road) Total Length: 22 KM.
Forumites, please permit me to use this medium to call the attention of our able Gov. Willie Obiano to his key campaign promise of dualizing the Onitsha 33, - Nsugbe-Umueri-Aguleri road (Nkisi Road)
We all know the critical importance of this perticular road segment to the future of Anambra as most of the key investments into Anambra's future, from agricultural revolution, to airport and oil and gas are linked to Anambra's biggest city - Onitsha via this road.
I am appealing to Gov. Obiano to live up to his promise of dualizing this key road. Infact, since a single lane currently exist, dualization can merely focus on providing the second road beside the current one. In this way, it should not cost too much to build a 15 -20 KM road beside the current road from Nkisi road in Onitsha to Umueri, until it reached Aguleri.
I understand that this is a federal road and should be the duty of the FG to dualize this key road. However, we know that will NEVER happen. Many states are able to dualize section of the federal roads entering their key city to ease traffic and boost trade and commerce. This 33-Aguleri road deserves to be dualized to facilitate economic development of the state.
Biko umunnem, those close to Gov. Willie Obiano should remind him about this road so that he would flag it off early and have full 4 years to fund it to completion.
I want to see that road like the picture below opening up and linking the new frontier of Anambra's future to Onitsha our biggest city. It will make land abundantly available for a lot of new mega projects in Anambra state. Away from the situation we have now. The road is very critical to opening new areas for land and development of the state. Besides, the traffic jam on that road is becoming craz. I think if he budgets to do just 5KM every year , he will finish the road very well before his term in office. |

ANSMEDIA: Anambra traders risk jail sentence over alleged revenue diversion
Awka- Anambra State government has threatened to send leaders of the various markets to jail for allegedly diverting revenues collected in the various markets in the state.
The state commissioner for commerce and industry, Dr. Christian Madubuko, who issued the threat during a meeting he held with leaders of the Bridge Head Market, Onitsha, observed that the state government was losing billions of naira revenue due to corrupt practices by market leaders.
Among the allegations were that most market leaders printed many fake receipts with which they use to defraud government, adding that while people were made to pay the stipulated levies, they never knew they were issued fake receipts in most cases.
Madubuko, who was accompanied by security operatives during the meeting, came face to face with allegations and counter allegations over the manner government revenue was ending up in private pockets. For instance, hundreds of shops were being constructed daily in various places in Onitsha, but in most cases, the market leaders collect revenue from them without paying to government coffers.
The commissioner, who was visibly worried, said he called the meeting because since he assumed office there had been series of allegations against the president general of the Head Bridge Market, Mr. Sunday Obinze, adding that some of the traders even wrote petitions, while some came personally to the ministry to complain.
He said the annoying aspect of the situation was that the said chairman allegedly boasted that nothing would happen to him because he had allegedly paid his way through with N20 million gratification.
He said: “We are looking for huge sums of money and we must get it. First of all, I want all line chairmen to give us full evidence of where the monies are, from 2015 to date, otherwise some people will go to jail. I want all the photocopies of tickets issued to people. I have proof that illegal tickets are circulating in the markets and this is a big financial sabotage.”
Some of the traders had accused their chairman of printing over 10 types of illegal receipts, which were being used to collect revenue without remitting same to government and called on the state government to ban the use of receipts issued in the markets because they were fake. They also accused the chairman of diverting the N10 million released to the traders for project execution in the market, while the N5 million realized during revenue drive in the market was not paid to government.
Meanwhile, the state government said it would introduce Close Circuit Television, CCTV, in all the markets, starting with the Onitsha Main Market as a way of reducing crime in the markets.
The project was started two years ago, but was stopped following disagreement between the traders and government, but the state government said weekend that the was need to have it in place as it is obtained in developed countries. Why do Anambra traders hate paying their taxes? Yet in Lagos, they gladly pay 20 times what they are requested to pay in Anambra. Yet, it is in Anambra that they shout for state to build markets for them and tar roads leading to markets. |

There is a reason why all the international airports built in northern Nigeria from Sokoto , to Katsina, to Kaduna to maiduguri to Bauchi to Dutse etc etc arent working. AIRLINES will decide where to fly their planes and if it will be profitable. nnamdijonathan: Its the Igbo way of life and their mentality. Its only an Igbo man that prefers to build mega structures outside his home town so that those living in his home town will always respect him whenever he visits. Even some of my relations are living in Onitsha and planing to build houses there but have not built anything back home in Delta. I disagree that we don't have houses in the village. Yes, perhaps we don't take our villages as seriously as Anambra guys, nonetheless those that made money have represented. 99% of our people in Lagos that I went for their daughter's marriage had very decent homes. Asaba is also rising gradually in spite of the opposition to it as Delta state capital. Remember that in 1990, Asaba was more or less a tiny town like Agenebode or Idah. When Onitsha was already a megacity. Today, we haven't done badly. I totally disagree that our people dont build at home. You may say we have not started seeing the SE as an investment zone the way we see Warri, Lagos and Benin. Most Deltans were raised in these places, so we naturally prefer them. The only reason I'm here is that I grew up practically in the East.(Enugu and Onitsha) so my friends are mainly with Igbos. I don't want us to politically belong to SE, but we Must form strong bond with our Igbo root and make no apologies about it. |

This is Orlu's version of the Okigwe Hotel, Princess Hotel.
Foundation stone was laid by then Speaker Uwajumogu for Prince Hotel, Orlu - that's all since then'.
I ask, what governor in his right judgement would build a stadium and Hotel in Okigwe without building similar things in Orlu, given the urbanization and population levels of Okigwe and Orlu? Rochas will carry the same picture to Mbaise and launch Mbaise version, then same picture to Oguta and launch Ogute version and then the same picture to Arondizogu to launch the Arondizogu version.
