I keep wonder, keep reading comments and post.
What ever PMB do weda good or bad, Igbo people keep blasting him. Are we truely one Nigeria? Can't Igbo people accept faith tha GEJ is gone? Check all social media platforms. Igbo comment dominate all, and all na abuse of PMB. The success of PMB is our success. And we young ones don't understand something, if this politicains keep pushing us, if war started, they will all run to anoda country and u will be left behind to solve the saga, can u face war? Don't pray for war,ask those who had war experinence.
Let unite and form 1 nation.
Some keep shouting Biafra, do u know what it takes to start a new nation? When u form anoda country that when u will know Ijaw is different from Igbo, .
Pls let have a rethink, let surport n pray for our leaders. Not what your country can offer but what you can offer your country. If believe in one Nigeria, say "GOD BLESS NIGERIA"

I am Igbo and i don't hate Buhari.
I just feel he was not expecting to be President and when he became one, he has refused to get competent ministers to help him run Nigeria. Even if they are all northerners. It is okay, so long as they are competent.

Just like Obasanjo, Buhari is deluding himself that if Nigeria erupts in serious insurgencies, he has the funds and army to handle it. This is the second issue, which is that Buhari likes to behave like Obasanjo by being openly sectional in his politics and believes his control of Nigerian army is enough to lord it over Nigerians.Which is a dangerous mistake!

I hope Buhari remembers some history from how the the Niger Delta crisis started, which in a way opened up Nigeria for the development of the Boko Haram insurgency. All preventable crises which were all direct consequences of Obasanjo's divisive style of governing. If someone like Babangida, Shagari ruled Nigeria in stead of Obsanjo, they would not have asked army to level Odi to prove to them he was a "Terror". We all know the cataclysmic events that happened in the Niger Delta after that regrettable show of bravado by OBJ. Suffice it to say he spent funds and time required to develop Nigeria in fighting the militants in order to keep the little oil wells still functioning. In the end, he realized he could not handle the situation militarily, he had to pay off the boys to surrender their guns.

Buhari making all these divisive statements will not help Nigeria develop. He is just too dull to realize he does not have the money nor time, nor the energy to instigate insurgencies in the south south or south east, even if they were his enemies in his mind. That lack of tact in handling Nigeria's ominous divisions is what Obasanjo, like Buhari lacked. Buhari will be shocked at how disorganized Nigeria will look in 2019, unless he understands that he simply cannot oppress any part of Nigeria without paying the price of diverting funds for development to fight his enemies and therefore indirectly oppressing the whole country by wasting precious funds to put out the fire he carelessly started.

How can an army that have series of negative history be respected by the most powerful country in the world?
Such history includes:
The Asaba massacre
Calabar massacre
Nigeria-Biafra war blockade and starvation of women and children, raping women old enough to be their grand mothers and little girls as young as 2 yrs.
Series of bloody coup
civilian brutality
Zakibiam massacre
Odi massacre
Invasion of Ogoni
unnecessary bombing of civilian territory(during the fight against Biafra,MEND,Boko Haram and the bombing of Calabar creek)
An army that have these negative history cannot be given hi-tech war machines to avoid the annihilation of her citizens.
The time to tell ourselves the truth is here.
It is because we recruit the worst rascals into our army.
It is now filled with Boko Haram moles and rapists, even at officer level.

TURNING ONITSHA INTO A BEAUTIFUL CITY THROUGH WORLD CLASS ROAD MANAGEMENT

IT would be great idea to get some competent companies to takeover some economically viable roads in Onisha and run them profitably (aswel as pay their taxes) in other to lessen the burden of road contruction & maintainance on the state government. Their major duties: Fixing/expanding the roads, Cleaning and keeping silt off the roads, Road beautification, Street light & lawn maintainance

HERE IS HOW IT CAN BE DONE PROFITABLY...
You are absolutely correct. The problem had been that our people viewed roads as nobody's property and a place to dump the refuse or teash from your house.

I am glad that our government even got Onitsha to this level of decency. Everything had been all about our mindset. In Europe and USA, they view the clean roads and environment as a reflection of the neighborhood or city.So they make effort to plant trees and flowers even in bad neighborhoods. In Nigeria and SE, we truly don't care about aesthetics for an entire town, except for the one inside the gate in our compound. In fact wealthy Nigerians don't mind building their mansion side by side with the worst shack or street, which is completely opposite of the mindset in advanced countries. If we can go a step further by planting trees and flowers to beautify our environment, not just our house, it would be a welcome improvement in our mindset.

We are sophisticated and warriors

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has listed his tribal marks as a sign of sophistication, identity and as a worrior

Obasanjo disclosed this when he collected his electronic National Identity Card from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), The Nation reports.

Speaking at his residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State, the former president said: “Not many people know that I have three identity cards. The first is the international passport, the second is National Identity card and the third is my tribal marks. It is not funny that I’m collecting the National Identity card at a time that I’m unemployed and unemployable.

“What we have now is what we wanted to do in 1979 but not as complex as this one and also not as sophisticated as this. Although we are getting the card late, but we are getting the best that technology can offer.”

The answer is typical resounding NO.

Hypocrite
Wherever Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is today, i hope these statements for Buhari help to convince him he was a real disaster to the SE, SS and even SW peoples. He wasted every resource at his disposal building expressways in the north, express train railway lines in Kaduna etc, hydro power plants in Mambilla , zungeru,Geragu etc, while Otuoke was in pitch darkness, with no roads and the East-West road was uncompleted, 2nd Niger bridge was a mirage.

It is good the the Buhari is showing him that he should have used his time to care only for his constituency not the "One Nigeria" deceit he believed in.

Food processing is a money spinner.
It will be great to have agro processing factories processing locally grown food and fruits.
I once saw a bread factory running on only wheat, while wheat was not grown anywhere in Nigeria. One juice factory made juice using apples. Glad that today we even have bread from cassava flour. That is the type of home grown agro factories we need, which uses locally grown foods and fruits.

Oby is right......
Arunma oteh is vice president and treasurer which means she's in charge of the treasury.
There are also other numerous vice presidentials positions in the world bank like vice president and auditor general, vice president and world bank group controller, vice president and operations policy and country services, vice president of institutional policy e.t.c infact there are about three senior vice president positions.......
So Oby was correct while CNBC are foolishly trying to make it look like the world bank VP slot is for an individual while Oby's post was just a sub title
I really don't care what World bank appointed Arunma to do. The point is that she is capable and well qualified, that is why she was appointed. So, Whether she is treasurer or cashier, what is Obiageli Ezekwesili's own? Afterall Ngozi Okonjo Iweala did not blow hot air after Ezekwesili was appointed. Why must obiageli ezekwesili always show bad belle for other women? Is it because she is such a hideously ugly woman inside and out? grin grin grin grin
Politics › Re: You Were VP Africa Region; CNBC Replies Oby Ezekwesili by Cjrane2:
Obiageli Ezekwesili likes to feel important, more than she really is.
That is how out of envy for Prof. Dora Akunyili, she kept pretending she was also a university professor in 2007 during her appointment as Education minister. When she was persistently asked by Nigerians to mention which university professed her, she declined to give any answers and quietly never referred to herself as Prof again.

She knows the offices are not the same, but her jealousy won't let her be. I am not surprised she is doing the same thing again to water down the achievement of Arunma Oteh, only to be put in her place by CNBC telling her precisely she was only VP for a small section focussing on Africa, which is different from being the overall VP of world bank.
Such a silly old woman!

Even after all the evil plot to neglect parts of Nigeria, while stealing their money to develop the north and west, God is still alive. Infact it convinces those still hoping Nigeria has some magic remedy that will change the inherent hatred to finally wake up to the inevitability that Nigeria must break up for justice to come to all peoples.

I don't want to make this about Tinapa, I've been through this before:

"The managing director of the resort, Bassey Ego Ndem, said Tinapa was designed to provide Nigerian businesspeople with a local alternative to Dubai and to retain some of the large amounts of money which have been flowing out of Nigeria. Ndem blamed Tinapa’s problems on the failure of Nigeria’s federal government to provide legal backing to the resort’s operations.Such legal backing, he said, was expected to include conferring on Tinapa the status of a free trade zone.

Former governor Duke’s administration reportedly received assurances from former president Obasanjo’s office that Tinapa would enjoy free trade status, but there is no paperwork to prove that the former president made the commitment.

The Tinapa project is still being considered by the federal government but the Customs Service has so far refused to give its approval. Ndem said the presence of customs officials at the resort – who carry out orders from head office not to allow the duty free zone to operate – had been a stumbling block to its operations."

Nigeria: Country Loses N219b Yearly On Tinapa - This Day
"Calabar — Nigeria may be losing more than N219 billion annually to Dubai due to the failure of the Federal Government to approve the procedures and guidelines for the take-off of the Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort in Calabar, Cross River State."

The FG in its weird wisdom grants Kaduna in the middle of a desert a free trade zone but not Calabar on the coast of the Atlantic ocean? One thing i have seen in Nigeria is that in spite of all the unnecessary wicked actions and plots to under-develop certain parts of Nigeria and only concentrate every tangible development in the north, God is not mocked. Like it or not, abia state is a big boy amongst states in naija, trust me. The criticisms on us is good for our development. Aba is being unfairly treated both by state and federal Govt, it needs resuscitation. Abriba stands out on its own just like nnewi in anambra. Umuahia needs seasoned developers, and all these cannot be solved overnight. Rome wasnt built in a day. I dnt like ikpeazu, but if the electorate truly voted him, then lets allow him prove himself. Igbo kwenu! Abia kwenu! Abia mmamma nu o!
Aba isn't just a big boy in the East, it is one of the greatest cities in Nigeria. In my childhood days when i lived in Enugu, it was prestigious to be living in Aba, but today it's a different story. Aba still has all it's great attributes, just that it had suffered from one inept government to another since 1999 when the great rot set in.All the developments in Abia since 1999 has principally been concentrated in Umuahia.

Gov. Okezie must set up almost a Marshal plan committee of reconstruction for Aba to succeed in this massive task. He must choose a good and capable construction company to overhaul and reconstruct ALL the major intra city roads. Chime used Arab contractors for Enugu, and Akpabio used Julius Berger for Uyo reconstruction. Having one company re-design and reconstruct the entire city is a better strategy than using multiple companies that are hard to track their individual projects and they will easily cut corners and nobody will notice.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu began his Monday with Project Inspection Tour in Aba.
Inspects Samek by Ariara Road, Kamalu, Umule Road Projects, assures users of completion within his 100 days in office.
Gov. Okezie should adopt what Chime did in Enugu and get Arab contractors to redesign and reconstruct all the Major roads in Aba with good drainage facilities compulsorily on both sides of every road. The holistic approach is better than piecemeal awarding of each road. They should support the Arab contractors work with the state demolition team to pull down illegal structures along the way.
