3. That Catholics are not spiritual.

The answer to this is that Catholics are generally not hypocritical, they are more practical in their faith. It is not those that shout Lord Lord that will necessary be justified

2. That Catholics don't read the Bible.

Another false claim. Everyday at Mass passages are read from the Bible and one of them must be from the Gospel i.e one of the first four books of the New Testament. However, the Church does not depend on the written word alone but also on tradition. It must also be noted that there cannot be a contradiction between the written word and tradition. The critics of this must realize that the Bible is a product of tradition. I will explain this if anyone argues against it

I have come to realise that most of those that bash the Catholic Church's teachings know very little about the Catholic Church and what a practicing Catholic believe. I, as a life-long Catholic will try to correct some misconceptions here

1. The believe that Catholics elevate Mary to and above the place of Christ.

This one is straightforward false and you just need to attend a Catholic Mass to disprove the above notion. The most important celebration in the Catholic Church is the Holy Mass. The Mass is 100 percent Christ Focus. The Mass is actually a prayer of the faithfuls to God while offering Christ as the victim. He is both the victim and priest. We believe that the Mass is the greatest prayer because when God sees the Christ offered he pardons and answers just like he passed over when he saw the blood of the unblemished lamb on the door post of the isrealites.
The entire teaching of the Catholic Church is summarized thus; Jesus Christ born of the virgin Mary died to save mankind. Catholics spend 40days reflecting on Christ's ultimate sacrifice during lent(we preach Christ and him crucified).
Yes, Catholics rever Mary but never above Jesus. Mary's greatness comes from her important association with Christ, she therefore derives her greatness from Christ. She is the God bearer, Mother of God, the Ark of the covenant, the greatest woman that has ever lived(blessed are you amongst women and blessed is the fruit of your womb), she therefore shares in the blessing of Christ. As an analogy, I would love readers to imagine that it prophesied that Jesus will be born again by a girl in Nigeria, imagine the reverence that you will give to that girl.

Any Nigerian that follows American politics would agree with me that there is a big similarity between Mr Trump and Mr Buhari. Both presidents have a support base that they owe they always strive to please. In d case of Trump, it is the white racist block who believe that America belongs to them. Most of Trump's policies are geared towards pleasing this group of Americans. The events of Charlottesville and President Trump's reaction comes to mind.

Buhari on the other hand is sponsored and supported by a group of Nigerians from the core north who believe that they have the numbers and should decide who rules Nigeria. They are so powerful that they were able to orchestrate the unseating of an incumbent African president, a first of it's kind in African political history. President Buhari is clearly pushing the agenda of this group of people who I call the Fulani Mafia.

A Nigerian man identified as NwaAmaikpe on Twitter has become the talk of the town after he expressed his anger over Tiwa Savage’s outburst where she said men and women can never be equal.

The man took to his Twitter page to air his thought about the matter calling the Nigerian celebrity a shame. The bitter man did not stop there as he prayed for her marriage to crash again since he said he does not understand how she could come to live with a man who publicly ridiculed her mother.

As if that was not enough, he transferred the aggression on other celebrities praying for their marriages to crash as well. He talked about Banky W and Adesua who are yet to get married saying theirs too will crash.

According to him, the elements that made it possible for Lillian Esoro and Ubi Franklin’s union to break will touch the love birds and make them split. He then talked about celebrities who did not enjoy the bliss of holy matrimony for long before it crashed.

On this list, Mercy Aigbe and Lanre Gentry’s name surfaced. She prayed for Toolz and Captain Demuren to experience the pain and bitterness felt by Damilola Adegbite and Chris Attoh when they broke up.

Conscious of the fact that his words may be taken as the ranting of a clueless man, he then explained that it is not a joke as these couples would not last. He sealed it by saying it would be easier to make President Buhari wear an IPOB shirt than it would be to make the marriages of the people he talked about work.

NwaAmaikpe merely said he is being the mouthpiece of many Nigerians who secretly wish for these celebrities to break up. He talked about Tonto Dikeh and Churchill hitting iceberg while he said Lola Omotayo and Peter Psquare’s crash is fast approaching.

The reason why a Buhari can never achieve success is that the man is a sectional human being. Being sectional is not a bad thing, but being a sectional person and the President of a complex, multi-sectional country like Nigeria can only lead to a disaster. Buhari obviously has little or no ties with southern Nigeria, I don't believe he has people from the South that he trusts. He doesn't even trust the likes of Tinubu that were instrumental to his victory in 2015. Right now he is in a state of paranoia and believes that the south want to bring him down and there are northern whisperers fueling his paranoia. They tag anyone against their selfish interest as anti-north and Buhari being who he is believes them and goes against that individual. This is exactly what Kachiukwu is suffering today.

The extremists should be the one to be afraid. In 50 years time, there will be more christians in the north. this they know and that's why they are afraid. Christianity spreads faster than Islam. The christian community should be more into evangelism in the north and leave the the extremists to fear. We are not the one to be afraid.
