BusinessRe: Which Bank Is The Best For Savings Account In Nigeria? by Clicked(f): 2:45pm On Jun 29, 2020
kponkedenge:
I would say Ecobank, I receive credit alert from them on my savings account despite the fact that I hardly ever use the account.
My most active accounts are in Access bank which I have two accounts there.
I have never ever received any credit alert from Access bank..... Only debit. I was recently debited for the stamp duty charge three times and only credited back twice. I'm still waiting for my N50 balance.
Ecobank rarely debit my account.
For me it's the exact opposite. Right now my Ecobank account is in minus. I have four bank accounts and never in my life has any of the others been in the red.

I never would have opened an account with them, it was NYSC that gave us the banks to use according to our state code. Ecobank kept on deducting from my account until it entered minus. I sent #300 again to see if it was a fluke but again, they deducted it till my account was reading minus something naira. I kukuma just left the account like that.

Access bank though, always pays me interest. Maybe it's because I don't touch the money in it. It's my main savings account and I don't have an ATM card for it, so the only thing I do is to keep adding money to it.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: My Experience At A Scam Interview Company. by Clicked(f): 1:19am On Jun 29, 2020
Lol, 8 Bisi Ogabi Street. I once got a message from them too when I was job hunting. I was happy at first but decided to check the address on nairaland because I had seen so many stories about scam interviews.

Thankfully, I found out that many nairalanders had received messages from them and they said it was a scam. I was a bit disappointed but at least I did not waste my little money and time.

Thank God those days are over for me.

It is arrogance on their part because no one owes them anything. Your pastor should even know better and I'm sure he had heard people talking about his ingratitude that was why he made that sermon about not needing thanks.

Even Jesus, after healing the ten lepers and only one came back said, "There were ten men who were healed; where are the other nine?"

If you want any service related to website development and you don't have too much money, your best bet is fiverr.

Those Indians guys are ready to do it cheap, and are eager to please you, and we all know how good they are in IT.

Next time don't bother with Nigerians, go to where you will get cheap but good service. But check their reviews first oo.
TravelRe: 800k A Month: Should I Travel To Canada? by Clicked(f): 3:20pm On May 25, 2020
If it is to make money, then stay in Nigeria. It is easier to make money as a business man in Nigeria than Canada.

If you're concerned about your children, you can always go to Canada to give birth to them. Canada is like USA in that aspect. Your children will have Canadian citizenship if they are born in Canada.

1.) Research Canada Federal Skilled Trades Program. You should be able to qualify under Bakers, also, having a degree is not required.

However, you will need either a certificate of qualification from a Canadian provincial or federal authority or a job offer.

2.) You may also have the option of Federal Skilled Workers/Express Entry. Your husband might be able to apply as the PA, as self-employed, but with the recent high cut-off scores and him not having a degree, his scores will be too low to get ITA.

Except he gets a nomination from a province.

Option 2 will require further research though, because I'm not too sure of his chances without a degree.

I am a PA and I enjoy my job.

First, you should be prepared to work longer hours than other employees especially when your boss requires it.

Discretion in paramont in this role. You will be privileged to classified information by virtue of your position.

During your interview be calm, polite and straight to the point. In my experience, MD's like people who can communicate clearly and quickly. Make your point, give relevant examples and stop.

Emphasise that your ethicaland moral standards and integrity when you are asked about your strengths and weaknesses.

Be sure you are competent with Microsoft Office tools and outlook. (Excel and Word are about to be your new best friends)

Make it clear that you are willing to work flexible hours and travel when required.

To show that you are interested in the job and your career, ask them what your typical day as an assistant will be like? Ask your scope of work and find out about your career progression withing the organisation. (Unless you want to be a PA forever)

Don't bring up salary talk until they do. When they do? Ask them what the previous person in that role was earning. They will play on your lack of experience so highlight your strengths and negotiate careful. But act like it isn't all about the money. Act like you are more interested in the oppourtunity to support and contribute to the success of the management team.

Finally, remember to pray for Guidance and Favour. That His Will be done.
Goodluck.
I saw this somewhere on nairaland. It will probably be more of help to you during an oral interview though.

I also want to add that you should research the company and the person whom you'll be a P.A to. They will probably also ask you simple arithmetic and English questions. I pray you get the job.

This is one of them timesup and Co. Trust me.
Someone just created a new Nairaland account to push agenda. Obviously not everyone is having it rosy in the US but it's obvious this one is trying to push an agenda. Very obvious from the first paragraph.

If you're truly facing this then sorry you got yourself into this mess. Travelled with a visit visa, worked illegally with fake details then had to marry just for papers. Ask yourself, whose fault is all of that?

The other thing is, Nigerians in your kind of situation often move with the most useless sets of immigrants. So you'll believe every other immigrant is suffering or running things illegally like you.
You are right about that, people in that situation always move with the wrong crowd. They usually mix with other illegals and it's always a case of the blind leading the blind.

They end up thinking every one is suffering like they are, moving from one peanuts-paying job to another.

Christianity EtcRe: Share Your Dreams And The Holyspirit Will Help Interpret by Clicked(f): 9:11am On Feb 17, 2020
@yinkaadesegha please help me with these dreams, I'm sorry but it might be a bit long.

I once had this dream where I went to a Chinese restaurant with my dad and brother. Although it was a Chinese restaurant, they also sold Nigerian food too. When we got there, they asked us what we wanted to eat and we all asked for Chinese food. I remember thinking to myself that I had never eaten Chinese food before and wanted to try it, I had worked up an appetite for it and was basically salivating at the thought of the Chinese food. The server said it was available and we lined up to wait for it.

It got to our turn and suddenly, they said Chinese food was finished. I said, okay give me burger and fries but they said every other food had finished that it was only rice and stew. I said I didn't want, that I specifically asked them if they had it and now they were telling me another thing. One rude waitress just shoved three plates of unappealing rice and stew in front of us, the rice looked really bad; there wasn't even any meat. My dad and brother quietly took it and went to sit down. They didn't want to make trouble and told me that I should just manage it. I refused and stayed quiet at first, with the waiters ignoring me and attending to other people.

After a while, I started shouting and the manager came out. She asked what happened and I told her, showing her the unappetising plate of rice that was still in front of me. She now got angry with the rude waitress, fired her, apologised to me and told me that they were going to prepare fresh Chinese food for me.

This second dream happened last night. I saw myself in this same restaurant but this time it was not a Chinese restaurant, just a normal one. It was like the people serving knew me because I didn't line up with the rest but went directly up to them to place my order.

Suddenly someone that previously ordered a plate of rice and boiled eggs, rejected it. Me and one person asked for the food cos we were tired of waiting. The waiter stretched out her hand to give me but at the last moment changed her mind and gave it to the other person.

So I was left waiting as they were attending to the people on the queue . I remember trying to figure out if those on the queue were the people I met when I came or if those ones had been served and new people had come. I started thinking to myself that maybe it would have been better for me to have lined up instead of going straight to the servers.

Then a man came beside me and was surprised I was still there. (It seems he was there when I came or maybe he was the person they gave that food to, I'm not really sure). He then told me that I shouldn't be angry, that I should just be patient and my turn will soon come. I told him no problem that I wasn't angry and I'll wait until I got my food. That's when I woke up.

Very well then... just go to your department for proper advice. Worse case scenario, you defer your admission till next year.

It's left for you to look introspectively and decide how important getting your Masters is to you. A job will always come. But if you don't get it now, there's a big chance you may not get around to doing it in another few years.
LOL @bolded. A job will not always come. I have not been able to get another job for the past eight months and I had to apply for a masters.

If right now I get a job that pays well enough, and I can't make the two work out, trust that I'll definitely abandon the masters. Unless you've been unemployed for so long you won't really understand what I'm saying.

"Never pay money for any job", they keep saying this but job applicants never listen. Be it for test, for evaluation, whatsoever they decide to call it.

Once I find out that I have to part with money because of a job application, I'll immediately back off. Except it is federal government job and even with that, if you end up going through the wrong person, you'd be scammed.

Talk to him about how you feel, explain to him that he probably won't like it if you are doing the same thing with his best friend. And that your friend, be very careful with her.
RomanceRe: . by Clicked(f):
Your problem is that you don't like any of these girls. My boyfriend and I will sometimes talk for more than an hour and after our airtime runs out we switch to whatsapp.

What do we talk about? Nothing and everything, the conversation just keeps flowing until one person gets tired. This also happens with my best friend, she and I can talk for long without running out of things to say.

You have too many girls around you and you don't even like any. Why then do you keep chatting up different girls? Look for the one you like, focus on her and your problem will be solved.

I have this ex girlfriend.

She still believes I deflowered her, even though I just agreed to keep the topic off the table, I know she is a big liar.

Before we did it for the 1st time, she told me she never did and also told me she has had an abortion! You are confused right? I am correct.

What she still claims is that the guy who was before me, whose bady she deleted, never fully penetrated but on the trial process, ejaculated on (not in) privates. Effectively, she got pregnant without actual intercourse.

I then came later, the rope is still on my neck that I did it first.
This can actually happen because I know someone that this exact scenario happened to. Her boyfriend didn't actually penetrate but she got pregnant and had to have an abortion.

She was so clueless about it that she had to ask her mom for help. Even her mom found it hard to believe her but as a nurse she had to agree that it was possible. The doctor had to technically disvirgin her.

The whole thing put her off of sex for a while. She was like, i no do the do na im i carry belle, if i come do am maybe na twins i go born. So yeah, it can happen, if I didn't know her I'd have found it hard to believe too.
