Thank you Justwise for this. I didn't want to say anything before because I've been a silent reader but as much as I enjoyed Danielhouston's thread, I was actually very disappointed with the way he behaved.

Most people here agreed with him, even when he was wrong and behaving childish. Yet because of what one person said he decided to deactivate. I also noticed the preferential treatment given to him, but he still wasn't satisfied.

It was Danielhouston's word and no other person's. Always talking about toxicity but being toxic in a passive aggressive way. This is for the best.

I've seen your name around travel section so I know you are not new to this section, and by now you should know that travelanders always advocate for DIY.

You do not need an agent! You do not need an agent! You do not need an agent!

There are numerous threads for different travel purposes, all you need to do is read and ask questions when confused.

Anyway, I believe many Nigerians are in Conestoga because I've seen that name mentioned many times on the Canada student visa thread, so it might work in your favour. I don't think you should worry too much.
HealthRe: 28 And Still Yet To Hit Puberty by Clicked(f): 7:58pm On Aug 23, 2020
Horerku I remember watching a video about this on YouTube some months back. The guy in the video was 26 and had never experienced puberty too. Even hearing his voice, he sounded like a 13 year old, and just like you he was very tall.

The guy believed that he had Kallmann's syndrome. If your sense of smell is poor in addition to all you've described, you might have that too.

I've linked the video, you can also search for him on YouTube. His name is Brandon Westfall. His current YouTube profile picture shows him with beards. Also, in one of his videos, you can clearly tell that his voice is deeper than before.

You don't have to worry. It is a condition that can be cured, the only thing is that it might be expensive.

If you're a Nigerian babe here, pls don't be offended, when you eventually come here, kindly change your mentality, look good n be approachable and smile more because here, the probability of you get approached here is halved the moment you get on the plane it's not like those men that will be shouting fine girl, you walking faster n be shaking your bumbum, the only time you'll hear that is from a drunkard at temple bar area, even them dey fear to be sued for sexual harassment, though they can claim that it was ogogoro that was talking. Haha
@Bolded, this comment just opened my eyes to what goes on in the minds of Nigerian men. I always wondered why you all did that, even when it was obvious that women didn't like it. It's now clear you guys think women actually enjoy that.

Well let me put you all straight. Girls DO NOT like it when guys do that. It creeps us out, makes us feel dirty in a way.

Please don't think you're complementing a woman by calling out, "Essss, fine girl, my colour", and other weird things. If she really made an impression on you and you want to tell her, simply walking up to her and telling her that she's beautiful or pretty will do the trick. If not jejely allow am, make she dey go.

BTW, you're doing a good job here.

Palema007:
The sad reality of the bolded is,
1)Children most times lean towards the missing parent side when they grow up. cheesy
2) You can never reap as much as you sow... The years can not be regained
3) You may not even reap grin

My verdict: No one should become the shadow of themselves while trying to raise a child.
@Senoritaluvy Take this advice, it is the truth. You can spend the good years of your life raising a child, and the child will grow up to be asking for the missing parent. It will be like the case of the prodigal son. What if, God forbid, after sacrificing everything, having no life, something happens to your enemy?(God forbid anything like this should happen) His father will end up reaping where he did not sow.

Take your son to his father and don't feel guilty about it, he is also his son. It is because you have taken complete responsibility for your son that he is behaving that way. He will be forced to be responsible when the boy is there.

Like Palema said, don't lose yourself while trying to raise a child.
CareerRe: Can I Cancel My Resignation In A Federal Government Institution? by Clicked(f): 5:18am On Aug 18, 2020
Mistakemaker(gotta love your username), you have to know one thing. If you expect to enjoy the same kind of relationship, the same peace of mind you had while working in the north, you will never be happy.

Northerners are easy-going, laid-back people so your experience cannot be the same in the south. You said your resignation started on the 31st of July, so you've not even spent up to a month at the new place.

Try to acclimatize to the people's culture, you probably had to do that in the north too. If it is in the southwest, know that there's a lot of eye service here. But luckily for you, you are employed in a federal hospital and not a private one, so even if you refuse to play ball it won't affect your promotion. And please don't expect it to be like the north, it can never be the same.

If you still insist on going back, good luck to you. I hope you find a way.

Go to Germany. I believe tuition is free even for international students. If you don't have a sponsor living in Germany, you'd need to open a blocked account. The money to fund it is about 10 million naira.

Also, every month a small part of the money will be released to you, so it's still yours to spend. Check Danielhouston's thread. I think you'd find it very useful.

Another good option is Ireland. I don't want to type too much so I'll also advise you to check Chiggsglover's thread. You can ask him for advice, he'll reply you.

If you had an undergraduate degree, I would have told you to look into Canada express entry. But since you don't, studying is the next best legal route. Ireland and Germany have not started massively denying Nigerians student visa like Canada, US and the rest, that's why I suggested them.

I'm in my early twenties and done with school.
I'm a full time blogger and internet marketer, and was actually planning to rent my own house before the lockdown started.

There's no one disturbing me, the only reason I wanted to leave was to move back to Owerri where there is better electricity to continue my hustle.
That was where I finished from though, and if your parents are not disturbing you, don't listen to any lady telling you that they cannot date any man in their father's house... Lol
Even most of the billionaire kids are still staying with their parents. The free food you're enjoying means a lot, and don't hurry to leave, remember coming back is more difficult.

In my house, I have my full respect. Most times I don't even come outside my room till it's 11 am, especially if there's light. The condition is very conducive for a hustler, and if I leave, I left on my own.
Please which part of Owerri do you stay? I'm considering moving there too, cos of the same reason as yours. Plus as much as I like Lagos, it is too chaotic for me, I like the pace of life in Owerri.

Can you recommend any place that has running water, security, and constant electricity? I would have loved Ikenegbu but it might be too expensive for me.

I have never had to pay for a job and I have been fortunate to work in really really good places. I just see an ad on Myjobmag or Hot Nigerian jobs, I apply, get shortlisted, I go through a proper and legit recruitment process without paying anyone a dime and still receive an offer with great pay and excellent benefits.

Even on NL I have applied for a vacancy I saw advertised by a recruiter. Their client turned out to be one of the most sought after employer/reputable organization people want to work with (Interswitch) ...........let me just say it was a good outcome without money exchanging hands. grin
Wow! You're very lucky. Did you graduate with a first class?

Abeg who Nigerian viewers epp. If you know how YouTube works, you'd know that your niche and your viewers countries matters a lot.

You'd see two people with 1 million views, one earning up to $10,000 while the other one just $800.

YouTube doesn't pay much if you have mainly African viewers.

PNP is no longer that easy anymore. More requirements, and what if like me, your occupation is not in demand in any province? You can't just keep dreaming without doing anything.

That's why people are doing everything they can to get extra points from IELTS even going as far as learning another language or getting another certificate.

By law, you can’t. But there are exceptions. Like, children whose parents are American and German, people from countries that don’t allow them to renounce their citizenship. Turkish children born in Germany can have dual citizenship until a certain age. Still, there are some Americans who have dual citizenship by naturalization.
Even with Brexit, some Brits in Germany are looking to apply for dual citizenship, it is still in discussion. So yeah, there are exceptions.
That's sad though. No matter how much I dislike Nigeria, I wouldn't want to renounce my citizenship.

It will be like I have completely destroyed anything connecting me to Nigeria. Basically I'll be a foreigner in my own fatherland.

Imagine needing a visa to enter Nigeria, I won't like that at all.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: What Is The Best Way To Get A Job Right After NYSC? by Clicked(f): 1:44pm On Jul 01, 2020
@kamtrix

1.) Join LinkedIn, if you aren't already on it. Follow recruiters, HR professionals, many of them post jobs almost daily. Engage with them, like and comment on their posts. Forget Facebook, Instagram and the rest for now. They won't help you. Also try to have at least 300 connections to make you seem credible. Post things (articles, pictures, etc) related to your industry.

2.) Make a list of at least 300 companies you'd like to work with. Find out the names and emails of the person hiring, e.g, The Hiring Manager, The Human Resources Manager, etc. If you can't find those, the CEO will do. People are more likely to respond to a ''Dear Mrs Kemi'' or "Hello Mr Dozie" than a "Dear Ma" or Hello Sir". Remember that LinkedIn you joined, it will come in handy here.

Send each one an email, stating whom you are, your qualifications, what you are bringing to the table, i.e, how you can help their company. Make it short! Busy executives don't have time to read long emails. Also make it about them, they don't want to read your life story. You can google job application cold email samples to get a clearer idea of what I mean.

3.) Don't wait till you're done with NYSC. I made this mistake. Start applying like two months before passing out. After NYSC, apply to a minimum of 30 jobs daily. Don't just apply randomly, that's how people are scammed. They apply to so many jobs that they don't know whether the one sending them message is one that they applied to. Know the exact type of job you are applying for.

I don't blame the Sentinelese tribe. Right now with Covid-19 plaguing almost the entire world, the Sentinelese will not have to worry about getting infected. They will not have to worry about experiencing racism ever. They are living their lives jeje.

If Africa had not been infiltrated by Europeans, the quality of our lives would have been better today even if we may not have access to electronic devices. Just saying. See how happy the people in those pictures are. Their skin looks so smooth. No craw-craw.
You're right, their skin looks so good even though they are so unexposed, without any expensive cream. They also welcomed them warmly the same way every colonized nation welcomed the whites. Luckily for them, no more colonization.

I also say the same thing that we would have been better without the white man because you can't miss what you never had.
