AroOkigbo:Gullible people will always abound and that's why scams will never end. |
Thank you Justwise for this. I didn't want to say anything before because I've been a silent reader but as much as I enjoyed Danielhouston's thread, I was actually very disappointed with the way he behaved. Most people here agreed with him, even when he was wrong and behaving childish. Yet because of what one person said he decided to deactivate. I also noticed the preferential treatment given to him, but he still wasn't satisfied. It was Danielhouston's word and no other person's. Always talking about toxicity but being toxic in a passive aggressive way. This is for the best. |
Samakus:Bam Bam that had a father, who was even a pastor nko? It is not about single parenting. |
daywalker02:No talk am oo. This is exactly what happened to my brother some months ago, 20k too. Although his was through USSD code. The network has done their part by reversing it. We are now waiting for the bank to credit him. The whole thing has taken months. |
I've seen your name around travel section so I know you are not new to this section, and by now you should know that travelanders always advocate for DIY. You do not need an agent! You do not need an agent! You do not need an agent! There are numerous threads for different travel purposes, all you need to do is read and ask questions when confused. Anyway, I believe many Nigerians are in Conestoga because I've seen that name mentioned many times on the Canada student visa thread, so it might work in your favour. I don't think you should worry too much. |
Horerku I remember watching a video about this on YouTube some months back. The guy in the video was 26 and had never experienced puberty too. Even hearing his voice, he sounded like a 13 year old, and just like you he was very tall. The guy believed that he had Kallmann's syndrome. If your sense of smell is poor in addition to all you've described, you might have that too. I've linked the video, you can also search for him on YouTube. His name is Brandon Westfall. His current YouTube profile picture shows him with beards. Also, in one of his videos, you can clearly tell that his voice is deeper than before. You don't have to worry. It is a condition that can be cured, the only thing is that it might be expensive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eitQYgCqA-0 |
Chiggsglover:@Bolded, this comment just opened my eyes to what goes on in the minds of Nigerian men. I always wondered why you all did that, even when it was obvious that women didn't like it. It's now clear you guys think women actually enjoy that. Well let me put you all straight. Girls DO NOT like it when guys do that. It creeps us out, makes us feel dirty in a way. Please don't think you're complementing a woman by calling out, "Essss, fine girl, my colour", and other weird things. If she really made an impression on you and you want to tell her, simply walking up to her and telling her that she's beautiful or pretty will do the trick. If not jejely allow am, make she dey go. BTW, you're doing a good job here. |
Palema007:@Senoritaluvy Take this advice, it is the truth. You can spend the good years of your life raising a child, and the child will grow up to be asking for the missing parent. It will be like the case of the prodigal son. What if, God forbid, after sacrificing everything, having no life, something happens to your enemy?(God forbid anything like this should happen) His father will end up reaping where he did not sow. Take your son to his father and don't feel guilty about it, he is also his son. It is because you have taken complete responsibility for your son that he is behaving that way. He will be forced to be responsible when the boy is there. Like Palema said, don't lose yourself while trying to raise a child. |
Mistakemaker(gotta love your username), you have to know one thing. If you expect to enjoy the same kind of relationship, the same peace of mind you had while working in the north, you will never be happy. Northerners are easy-going, laid-back people so your experience cannot be the same in the south. You said your resignation started on the 31st of July, so you've not even spent up to a month at the new place. Try to acclimatize to the people's culture, you probably had to do that in the north too. If it is in the southwest, know that there's a lot of eye service here. But luckily for you, you are employed in a federal hospital and not a private one, so even if you refuse to play ball it won't affect your promotion. And please don't expect it to be like the north, it can never be the same. If you still insist on going back, good luck to you. I hope you find a way. |
larryking540:Lol, the dude you're quoting has a Canadian passport, ergo a citizen. I know the show you're talking about and they don't send just anybody back. Except you're taking about during this pandemic, then I'd understand. |
Dwebb55:Thank you for answering that guy. I didn't even know Ireland had something like this, I thought only UK had. I checked and my qualification and experience fit one of the roles. At least if I no enter Canada before dem stop express entry, I still get second and third option. |
What is it with Nigerians and prayers or violence? We think every issue can either be prayed away or beaten away. Someone that should have been in rehab long ago, instead you people are still playing around. That guy should be taken to a rehab centre fast, before he completely loses himself to drugs. |
meobizy:Very tacky. It was the first thing I noticed. One interior designer go come charge am millions now for that nonsense. Well, going by his outfit, the man might have an eccentric style. |
Go to Germany. I believe tuition is free even for international students. If you don't have a sponsor living in Germany, you'd need to open a blocked account. The money to fund it is about 10 million naira. Also, every month a small part of the money will be released to you, so it's still yours to spend. Check Danielhouston's thread. I think you'd find it very useful. Another good option is Ireland. I don't want to type too much so I'll also advise you to check Chiggsglover's thread. You can ask him for advice, he'll reply you. If you had an undergraduate degree, I would have told you to look into Canada express entry. But since you don't, studying is the next best legal route. Ireland and Germany have not started massively denying Nigerians student visa like Canada, US and the rest, that's why I suggested them. |
Christmasdon:Na my church be dat. I remember when we were still using that small area while the main church was being built. |
You say YouTube downloader does not save to your phone but that's not true. The one I've been using for years downloads straight to my phone just like any other video you download from the internet. I even use it to download music, especially newly released songs that are hard to find somewhere else. Also why you come paste the article three times na? |
TalkTalkTwins:Does self-con at Amakohia cost more than 200k? |
TalkTalkTwins:Please which part of Owerri do you stay? I'm considering moving there too, cos of the same reason as yours. Plus as much as I like Lagos, it is too chaotic for me, I like the pace of life in Owerri. Can you recommend any place that has running water, security, and constant electricity? I would have loved Ikenegbu but it might be too expensive for me. |
They will bully that boy eh. Oyibo children that can bully like wetin. I just pity that boy, he'll most likely end up using a nickname. That's how I read about a girl that was named chlamydia. Wetin this people no go name their pikin sef? |
Klass99:Wow! You're very lucky. Did you graduate with a first class? |
Ah! No ooo. Not a week's time, it's too far and I'm really enjoying your story. You write well. |
Abeg who Nigerian viewers epp. If you know how YouTube works, you'd know that your niche and your viewers countries matters a lot. You'd see two people with 1 million views, one earning up to $10,000 while the other one just $800. YouTube doesn't pay much if you have mainly African viewers. |
Folarinibrahim1:Lol @school network. Are you really comparing a Nigerian school's website to Twitter? Nigerian companies don't even have secure websites and you're talking about schools. |
Juliusmomoh: Whenever a man and a woman are arguing and you hear olosho, ashawo, you just know that she has won the argument and he doesn't know what to say again. |
Kiki4:PNP is no longer that easy anymore. More requirements, and what if like me, your occupation is not in demand in any province? You can't just keep dreaming without doing anything. That's why people are doing everything they can to get extra points from IELTS even going as far as learning another language or getting another certificate. |
Danielhouston:That's sad though. No matter how much I dislike Nigeria, I wouldn't want to renounce my citizenship. It will be like I have completely destroyed anything connecting me to Nigeria. Basically I'll be a foreigner in my own fatherland. Imagine needing a visa to enter Nigeria, I won't like that at all. |
@kamtrix 1.) Join LinkedIn, if you aren't already on it. Follow recruiters, HR professionals, many of them post jobs almost daily. Engage with them, like and comment on their posts. Forget Facebook, Instagram and the rest for now. They won't help you. Also try to have at least 300 connections to make you seem credible. Post things (articles, pictures, etc) related to your industry. 2.) Make a list of at least 300 companies you'd like to work with. Find out the names and emails of the person hiring, e.g, The Hiring Manager, The Human Resources Manager, etc. If you can't find those, the CEO will do. People are more likely to respond to a ''Dear Mrs Kemi'' or "Hello Mr Dozie" than a "Dear Ma" or Hello Sir". Remember that LinkedIn you joined, it will come in handy here. Send each one an email, stating whom you are, your qualifications, what you are bringing to the table, i.e, how you can help their company. Make it short! Busy executives don't have time to read long emails. Also make it about them, they don't want to read your life story. You can google job application cold email samples to get a clearer idea of what I mean. 3.) Don't wait till you're done with NYSC. I made this mistake. Start applying like two months before passing out. After NYSC, apply to a minimum of 30 jobs daily. Don't just apply randomly, that's how people are scammed. They apply to so many jobs that they don't know whether the one sending them message is one that they applied to. Know the exact type of job you are applying for. |
dasparrow:You're right, their skin looks so good even though they are so unexposed, without any expensive cream. They also welcomed them warmly the same way every colonized nation welcomed the whites. Luckily for them, no more colonization. I also say the same thing that we would have been better without the white man because you can't miss what you never had. |
