At the end of the day, you lawyers are no different from the corrupt administration you claim to be against. Your entire argument here is that the government is not legitimate, but the money that comes from it's accounts is legitimate. Then there's the "if Nigerians wants us to refund the money, then they should donate another money to us instead." Show me a better illustration of criminality.

If you guys really have integrity like you seem to delude yourselves, wouldn't it be a better statement of your stand against corruption to not have anything to do with the government funds in order to maintain that facade of independence and autonomy? Are you people trying to say that all the lawyers in Nigeria cannot contribute money towards hosting a single conference?
You're a very daft human! I wonder the kind of brain with which you read the news article. Where did you see this in the article "if Nigerians wants us to refund the money, then they should donate another money to us instead?" There are so many other blunders inherent in your comment, such as, where you erroneously belived that it was the Sole Administrator who donated the money, Fubara Sim did, EWU Gambia. I don't even know if you will see this but if you do, just know that you don't have sense.

PoliticsRe: Festus Keyamo: Buhari Has No Power To Release Nnamdi Kanu by Climax11: 7:17am On Dec 01, 2021
I want to disagree with my learned friend, Festus Keyamo. First, Buhari has the power to release Nnamdi Kanu! He can do that by simply withdrawing the case from court. He is the Federal government and Federal government is Buhari. Secondly, Festus Keyamo said " The Igbo leaders should go and issue a statement, apologizing to the families of those who lost their loved ones as a result of the utterances of some of these people( in this case, he was referring to Nnamdi Kanu's utterances). Now, I wish to ask, who killed those people? Why were they killed? So if someone or some people utter their beliefs or what they believe in the country or that they want their own independent country, they get killed? Fact is, Keyamo is out of his mind, the Federal government should pay reparations to those who lost family members. The FG should also apologize to them and release Nnmdi Kanu unconditionally and commence dialogue immediately. That's what a responsible government should do. That's the right thing to do. Thank you

This is an update to the previous thread here:

https://www.nairaland.com/6783357/traveling-air-first-time/7#106420545

So i boarded my plane this morning and i can say it was a great experience thanks to all your contributions and tips. Lemme start like this, I woke up so early as my flight was at 8:25 since it's my first time i needed to play safe to avoid stories that touch grin i didn't give my village people a chance in that aspect.

I arrived at the airport few minutes to 7 and by 7:10 i was done checking in and ready for boarding (I didn't expect it to be so fast and smooth tho)

That was how i started pressing my phone and carefully paying attention to the announcements that one could barely hear. (I think airports need to do better as some of us no dey understand that kind accents) cry They can just past the announcement on a screen for people to read, anyways what do i know? maybe people have not missed flight as a result of that.

Ehen so while waiting, i was just observing everything, i saw one bros seated behind me so i walked up to him and confessed. grin "Bros no vex, na my first flight bdis, abeg if dem announce air peace flight to lagos just let me know" he smiled and said i shouldn't worry. Few minutes later i heard the announcement naso i pack my things go join queue, kudos to air peace (unlike the other announcements i heard, they used one local accent to announce before the normal posh accent repeated the announcement so it was easy for me to know it's time to board.

They did the normal thing and i was inside the plane naso i just dey look like village boy. grin i followed the suggestion by some good NLanders and watched how to fasten a plane seat belt so it was not an issue, i no disgrace my ancestors. except for the air hostess that was rude when i asked her for my seat everything went fine, i was so calm and composed like i've done this before. The plane took off and few minutes later we're flying above the clouds i was just smiling all through then i felt a sharp pain in my left ear, boom i no dey hear well again. grin then i remembered i was told here, i just swallowed saliva and i'd regain my hearing, it continued through out the flight. some of the things i noticed through the flight was:

Majority of land, like 70 percent is uninhabited, i saw my knowledge of geography come into play as we ascend into the sky, i could easily identify all the different layers like atmosphere, lithosphere and the rest it was like we're traveling to space, asin after all science no dey lie oo but above all God is the greatest. My experience helped me to believe God more, like he created all these things, he has the power to do anything so why even doubt him. cool

At some point during the flight, the plane was vibrating and turning anyhow lol but i didnt panic because i remembered nairalanders told me about it, i was seated by the window and stayed awake all through. Like 20 minutes into the flight, the pilot said "for those of you sitting by the right if you look by the window we are just flying over ibadan" naso i look and was like, oga i no see ibadan here ooo na just thick cloud i see. cheesy
That was how i landed in lagos around 10am and the weather was looking like 4pm nawao. i enjoyed my flight sha and i hope to do this again, but next time it should be canada not lagos. grin

It's Island, not "highland"

Umuoma highway and "H" factor be like 5 and 6

yuping:
Exhaustion, you don't expect some one that live in Sango and work on highland to be having a good morning or night sleep inside his house, most people wake as early as 4am just to reach work on time and probably reach home very late at night and still prepare things against work maybe get to sleep by 11am or so.

Dr Wilson, a high school teacher from Ghana who traveled to Vietnam about three years ago, has caused a stir on social media after boldly stating that coming back to Ghana might not happen anytime soon.

The gentleman, popularly known as Achabu, said this in a caption to a photo he shared of himself with a beautiful foreign lady who covered a part of her face, GH Base reports.

From all indications, Dr Wilson is sending the signal that life is going on very well for him, which is why he may not find any reason to come back to his motherland.

According to Digi Chat, Achabu was a science teacher at the Akuse Methodist Senior High School in the Lower Manya Krobo District of the Eastern Region of Ghana.

He first went viral on social media after sharing amazing transformation photos that were getting many social media users thrilled.

Along with pictures shared, the gentleman indicated that nobody is really ugly except that their living conditions make them look bad.

AdoraAmadi:
Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, who was one of the celebrities who marched against domestic violence alongside the Ooni of Ife's wife, had something to say about domestic violence when interviewed by GoldmyneTV while on the march.

According to Tonto Dikeh whose marriage to her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill on grounds of domestic violence amidst other allegations, said there is no excuse under the face of the earth that God has created, for a man should put a hand on his woman.

The actress and mother of one said;

"I think the one issue that actually births the high rate of domestic violence is the fact that we are not talking about it enough. It is the fact that the society is shaming us when we talk about it. So we rather not talk about it, we rather keep it on a hush hush until it is worse.

This awareness will create so many...I am sure a lot of men now will be scared to beat their wives now because this awareness is no joke, there are heavyweights here. It is not about ridiculing men like I always say. It is to make us a better person. It is to make our homes better.

Nobody is saying run out of your homes. I am not preaching divorce. I am preaching that you speak out. because your life matters. Your children's lives matter and your husband's life matters.

I don't think there is any excuse under the face of the earth that God has created that a man should put a hand on his woman. No! There are other options. You can walk away. You can calm down. You can go for therapy. There is so many options than hitting a woman".

RomanceRe: Ladies, Know The Type Of Work A Guy Does Before Agreeing To Be His Girlfriend by Climax11: 5:48am On Jun 28, 2017
fastgyal:
I'm writing this from my own personal experience. Dear girls, don't just fall 'head over heels' for a guy without knowing the nature of his job or any of his close relatives.

There's this guy who's been inviting me over for quite sometime, we met at an event and exchanged contacts. I did that because he assisted me with something at that event. He calls me for about an hour or two every night. That was early this year.

When I asked about his nature of job, he said he was a contractor, he couldn't tell me which firm he works with. He stays at home 24/7 from Monday through Friday, weekends inclusive.

I finally agreed to go out with him sometime in February. This guy owns a Bentley and a Range Rover. Each time I try to bring up the issue of his job, he waives it off. The way he spent money on me and my friend that day was lavish and suspicious. I wasn't comfortable at all. He paid for my Uber ride to and fro. Spent about 80K at the exquisite restaurant just for food and drinks. We were three;Him, my friend And I. He uses two iPhones, one infinix hot4 and a smaller phone. I felt so much discomfort with him that day. Thank God my spirit never accepted him. that evening, he had a minor issue with his friend. I was listening to their conversation and I found out my guess was right. I had to cut up all ties with him after that day. abeg I can't be spending money whose source I know nothing about.

The second was a guy I loved, I won't lie. I met him at the mall and there was this kind of attraction. We flowed freely, got talking and all that. I won't say everything I witnessed at his place for personal reasons. I asked what he's been doing since he graduated, he said business. What kind of business? He replied; 'online business'

The day I visited him, his friends came over and for more than one hr, they were glued to their laptops, doing 'heaven knows what' and making calls to dupe victims. I also saw about 7 master keys for cars. I had no access to his FB account then. only whatsapp and IG.

When I checked his pictures on FB, I was trembling with all the things I saw. he's in a gang, probably a cult. Always wearing shirts with that devilish logo of a skull printed in it. Wearing all Black and all that.

And girls, please don't open your legs for any guy you've just met until you're very sure he's clean. I really loved this last one but although its hard to let go, I just have to.
I'm not saying I'm a virgin, but I just don't open my legs for any one because he throws money at my face whatsoever. I'm being very plain here so girls can learn.

Let this get to front page please mods.
I think EFCC needs to invite you for more information
