The case of Gwanara district is highly pathetic. It is the largest District in the local government area yet perennially neglected.I have been there a couple of times due to their extreme amiable nature.
From kenu, to chikanda to Gwanara to Taberu etc

The late governor Moh'd Lawal was in the process of fixing the roads before his death. The drainages are still there.
Recently the major road into the area was being tarred only to be stopped at halfway!
The people of The area are predominantly farmers with large plantations of Cashew,yam, cassava and maize yet neglected. putting them at the mercies of people of Saki who act as middle men to merchants from Lagos. (They stop at Saki due to the bad nature of the road) thereby ripping them off.
Saraki landed by helicopter the last time he campaigned there. Yes it is that bad even with his convoy of SUVs.

The government of kwara state is a microcosm of the Nigerian state.
Rich yet poor.,due to lack of good leadership ,fueled by insatiable appetite for corruption and controlled by the Saraki dynasty.

They shall be free!
