ebuka440:Yes, she should speak up. This protest was already on when she met Buhari, but she kept mute on it, even for social media |
fergie001:The ENDSARS was on when she visited Buhari, yet she didn't tweet or make statement on it. Perhaps she thought it was a joke. Now it is gathering global view and interest, some lukewarm people now want to associate. It is okay since we are clamouring for a better Nigeria for ALL. She is a global person, and her comments are acceptable. #ENDSARS #ENDPOLICEBRUTALITY #BETTERNIGERIA |
raker300:He is handling the situation like a reasonable person, probably to avoid escalation. |
Who made this man an Ambassador? |
nedekid: ![]() It's surprising how such a man became president of a nation like Nigeria, with huge human potentials. |
Action speaks louder... Buhari and IGP should note this. Can Buhari even come out in company of IGP and address the youths (without reading from pre-prepared notes)? |
He should resign and gain at least some respect from the common Nigerian. It's just about 3 months salary left. |
Calculating:But the site is not down |
Seriously? Would he have done so if Buhari wasn't current president |
jericco1: ![]() They should test all Tose present for APC and PDP rallies in Edo and Onto states ![]() Now, they have lots of kits for random and free testing. Or did the school pay 60 thousand for each student? |
chatinent:There was one boy killed in Imo State during Rochas tenure when he wanted to relocate a native market. Who remembers the name? Was that not done by the police? |
DamnnNiggarr:Face the crisis at home. These are the people that put the nation in this condition. Both! Just that GEJ is a lesser one. |
And Universities will fix exams. What a way to force student protesters back to university. This government!!! Finally, the protest has favoured lecturers. Let them join hands to ensure Nigeria works for the common man. |
AllTheWayUp:MC Olomo should be called out. Let him fish out the culprits. Meanwhile, all these protests And Tinubu has not said anything? Even when governor, Speaker and NURTW head deny sensing the hoodlums. Maybe Tinubu should be called out on this. |
farem:What is this one saying? ![]() |
Kobicove:They are also suffering from the state of the nation. If they try it, they will be lynched to death. |
Aso Rock NEXT! Buhari MUST HEAR #EndPoliceBrutality #EndCorruption #RestructureNigeria |
Nigerian youths have loud voice and strength known worldwide. The mistake Buhari will make is to use force or deploy the Army. Any attempt on that... If this was during Obadanjo time, I'm sure he would have addressed the protesters LIVE. Buhari only read what was written for him and feels he has addressed the issue on ground. #EndPoliceBrutality #EndCorruption #RestructureNigeria |
Really? I read Delta state rejected 1.5million naira the governor gave them for food. We are wising up. I wish this is election period, most of the corrupt politicians would have been booted out. |
GallantDuke:But That doesn't it clright |
Amotolongbo:If only someone can interfere the conference call and display the pains of Nigerians. |
TecM0:Ideally the police should protect all and not be used as guards by politicians and celebrities. #ReformPolice should address this as well. |
wizzyrich:Could it be that most SARS are from the North? And ending SARS is like ending a family's source of revenue? |
Samysearch:Maybe you can read my comment again. I used 'wonder'. You could simply clarified as you did with your last sentence. On another note, I wish where I am now is my village, I won't bother AT ALL about the situation of things. |
I wonder if it is the same in the North. Guess its same way with SARS, Absent in North. From the situation of things, it seems the country has already divided. With these ongoing protests, it may be scary to imagine the order that will be given to the police/army in the southeast. Perhaps, they might target one of their celebrities and tag it accidental discharge. I hope it does not happen. |
sammy329:Why would a constituted authority take the lives of its citizens? Those killing their fellow citizens because they are licensed to carry guns are not excluded from the hardship in the country. Fact is that their bosses, be it AIG or even DPO, will not shoot by themselves. It is corporal/low-ranking officers that are suffering in their homes that pull the trigger. Police officers should reason, and allow people to protest without shooting. |
sammy329:If FG should use force right now, then the revolution will start. Is it not same police/military that will be used? Check Venezuela. The protest, though for police brutality, but the sufferings and pain in the nation are fuelling it more. |
Nigeria indeed has great impact globally, it's just unfortunate she hasn't got good leaders. If this was before the 2019 election, Buhari would not have won. |
Begging them to stop tear gas? Good he came out to join the protest. Fact is that the Nigerian youths can bring about that change the country requires when they work together. This should be a wake up call to the present government. |
This speaks of how economically stable Nigeria is over these years. |
chamboy:I feel bad when I read people saying things such as 'let the world know. Those countries have their own problems too. Nigerians should solve the problems in Nigeria caused by Nigerians. Why is Senate there? Why are there labour unions? Why is there the judiciary? etc. |
