@ big-ben et all Please I am confused. I have a Neco result (June/July). However, when we were registering for the post utme for the first time I chose SSCE (May/June) and now I am thinking of Choosing NECO instead of SSCE (may/June). Please what do you suggest i should choose again this time SSCE (May/June) or simply NECO?? Any implication if i choose NECO this time?? Wish all success |
@ big_bug_ben et all Do you think if one knows one of the big shoots one could be considered for an admission with 58% in to courses like law, medicine, et al ? Thank you all |
@ big_bug_ben Thank you very much. If God permits and the likes of you assist , I want to study Law I have HND in Bus Admin already from KP but i am just so much interested in Law. Please let me know if and how you can assist. |
@ big_bug_ben Please would you do the Cumulative Average Score for 225 in Jamb, 58% in Post-UTME, and c5,c5,c5,c6,c6 in SSCE five subjects. Thank you. |
Mac4u2nv:Dont expect any news until after Ramandan. Most of the stakeholder of University (those who made up the Senate of the school) are probably presently in Saudi Arabia for Humurah. So dont expect anything till after the week they end Ramandan. Take it or leave it. |
Unilorin DVC stresses importance of post-UME test From Layi Olanrewaju, Ilorin Monday, August 30, 2010 The Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin , Professor Kolade L. Ayorinde at the weekend disclosed that of the 27,847 candidates that sat for the post-UME test this month at the university, about 16,225 scored the average of 50 per cent and above. Ayorinde added that though of the 73,392 candidates that applied to UNILORIN either as first, second or most preferred choice institution, for the 2010/2011 admission exercise, only 27, 847 ultimately sat for the pre-registration screening. The Professor of agriculture stated this in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, saying that in the screening exercise that took place between August 16 and 23 at the Ilorin, Lagos and Minna centres, 58.2 per cent candidates scored 50percent and above. He added that about 11,622 candidates scored lower than 50 in the exercise. Prof Ayorinde added that the outcome of the screening exercise justified the necessity of post-UME. According to the deputy vice-chancellor, “if candidates that scored 280 (out of 400) or more in Unified Tertiary Institutions Matriculation Examinations (UTME) could score far below 50 per cent in the pre-admission screening as the recent experience has shown, it clearly indicates that ‘JAMB’ is not enough,” he said. “While the questions asked were to test the general aptitude of the candidates and determine their suitability for university education, rather than competence on specific subjects, the 41.74 per cent failure recorded is a wake-up call that better measurements need to be developed to test the academic competence of students,” the deputy vice-chancellor academic said. On what parents and candidates should expect after the screening, Prof. Ayorinde said that a phase in the admission process had just been completed while other phases would immediately follow. He added that “what we have done is a phase. The next phase is to generate a list. Then, Senate would take a decision on the cut-off mark. Afterwards, the Admission Committee would sit to work and successful candidates would be admitted.” On what it takes to be offered admission, the professor said “admission depends on the number of students that applied for a particular course, the nature of the course applied for and the weighted average score of a candidate. “Courses have carrying capacities and there is no way having 50percent or more can automatically guarantee admission. Using the experience of last year as a case study, Prof. Ayorinde said candidates that score less than 70percent would not be admitted. collinsfbi:@ collinsfbi I swear you are the man , you hit the nail , Poster stop here and act now. You can never get anything better than this !!!! Take it or leave it!!! |
I was into this situation some years back , there was this FAT girl i know online and got her pics , I really loved this girl and she loved me too but i have an issue with her weight , I suggest she lose weight but she took that word against me then and the relationship stopped , However few years later she got married, the guy left her and now her weight is really giving her problem , she visits doctor almost everyday and now forced to lose weight. Poster , I think you should appreciate the guy that he tells you the problem he has with you, he is open minded. I am very sure he wants you to lose weight as to make you good, presentable every time and to be able to rock everywhere with you . I want to believe he said this to as to be comfortable and faithful to you all the time. He wants to be proactive which i consider to be a good. Also, it seems the poster is not also comfortable with her look and regretted not watching her weight long before. I think what we NLander should do is to give suggestions on how the poster will look good to her fiance instead of condemning the guy. Remember head cutting is not the solution to headache. However, I suggest the poster go for weight losing if you wont consider it offensive. |
I will suggest anyone who post a question should post together its answer and explain or work out how the answer came about, as this will create better understanding and make the trend neat. Thank you all , I am prospective student of Law UNILORIN. I decided to go for this after HND in Bus Admin |
@ ag vibrancy, d answer is: B (AND) while @ ajenb d answer is : centre of excellence |
Please post to keep this trend alive |
Please, if you have done Computer Based Test (CBT) in this year Post UTME test in any university or polytechnic, kindly post some of the questions asked and options given, that you can remember. I think starting this trend will help those that are yet to do their Computer Base Test (CBT) thus means you have contributed to others successful admission to schools. |
IFKUNLE: If u were refering to interview, then u are stil wrong. According to the news on the website, it ends by saying ', while all provisionally admitted students will be interview thereafter'. so the interview is not meant for all. As for your calculations on A1,B2,, C6, u are still gallantly wrong, na u dey use calculator, admission officer no wori abt 2 * 2, u don't have to argue cos i'll enlighten u. According to the Chief Admission Officer of the University of Ilorin (who happens to be a fat woman), the admission script process goes thus. After candidates had registered & the portal had being closed, candidates files titled by their names containing their details will be arranged systematically in a folder categorised dept by dept and it ranks from the highest JAMB SCORER to the lowest. After then the shortlisting starts by the H.O.D of each dept and his/her colleagues b4 if goes to the admission office to prepare the admission list & COMSIT finally publish it on the sch website. What i'm infering to is that, your jamb score is your facial attraction to the admission officers i.e it's your 1st consideration, b4 u talk of A1 or C6. So if they want to start selecting candidates name for admission, it starts frm the top. Obviously, it should be believed that people with higher o'level grades stands a better chance of being admitted ahead of a candidate with low grades but will at the same time have a high jamb score over the latter candidate. I'm a very good example, i got admitted wit 'C' parallel in my neco result. A1s, B3s with little C4 dominates my waec results but i had D7 in english so i have to use dat of neco. i was admitted ahead of a friend who is loaded with ''A" & "B". My name came out on the 1st list but his on the 2nd list. So don't worry abt, if u alot of C6, just make sure u had all your required subject pending u have a high jamb score, then u are already admitted. SKMODA: u may erase the number, i've copied it. I'll beep u anytime from now.
I believe you have a valid information becos you rightly describe the Chief Admission Officer, I know her in person very well (she cut her hair and have facial mark) but didnt talk to her about admission , Keep it up guy! And for those asking people to call one Engr or the other for assistance , Wait a minute , think about this "how would an Engr heads a faculty of Management " This is pure spam/scam and only fools will fall for this trick. NL beware |
My candid advise for you is to use YOUR WIFE as the next of kin: Reason: If you use your child, your family will always claim your son to be part of them and will want the heir to themselves. But your wife wont like seeing her child suffering (if only see remember the pains she passed through for 9 months and beyond). Even if she has a new husband, her child will always remain her child unlike family that will claim the heir for the child, send your wife away and leave the child to suffer. So think twice. |

This trend is very educative and i will like to contribute a little. My mom is asthmatic. Through her, I learnt that not all people that see the symptoms of asthma are asthmatic. I remember there was a time i was feeling asthma symptoms what she did was just giving me a lotion called "adii"in yoruba. ever since, i dont feel the symptoms again. Now my advise, I discover that not all cases of an asthma symptom are asthma, it could be "dry cough" but it has almost same symptoms as asthma , so in any case try using that "adii" first and if it persists see your doctor. What you might have could be dry cough and not asthma. |
One point I would like to make clear here is the referring of some people here to be pay tithes, offerings, etc and get much back in return. It is universal truth that you dont have to be a christian or a believer to be blessed. Apart from this, Jesus made us know that "Give and it shall be given unto you" (Shall makes it a promise) If you give to you the poor people on the street or anywhere, be sure to receive back more than you gave. If you want to prove me wrong, try paying your tithe or whatever to the people on the street (especially those you know they really need it) and see if you wont be blessed more than you ever thought. Also God and God only bless and not your pastor. I would allow like to draw attention of one of the posters to his saying that no more poor people, did i read in your post that Jesus or any of his disciples mentioned mentioned poor ? If yes, then there were and are poor and they acknowledged it, if not they wont talked about poor. |
I am presently a student of HND 2 Business Admin about to graduate soon and also own a registered corporate business consultancy office (engaging in some services) but I have always develop an interest in studying and practising law and in making my office/business a conglomerate that offers multi-services legal services. To this effect, I am planning of writing the up coming UTME exam and go for law degree in the next admission (as I dont want to take direct entry and dont want to waste time) but I would like to be cleared on the questions below: 1. Are there any law or ethics that stops a practising lawyer from having a business consultancy office/ offices as part or aside of his/her chamber? 2. I dont have a good exact verbal and written quotation skills (most especially off-hand) but I could explain a thing in my own understandable term. I would like to know if studying and practising of law needs exact verbal and written quotation skills or would allow my own understandable term ![]() 3. I hope ethics of law doesnt stop a practising lawyer from holding an important executive or board post in a company ![]() Thank you for your time. Serious contributions only please. |
I dont believe in the bank of a thing. I am a business consultant. I will advise you put your money in something else than FD most especially properties. I have good location for profitable properties in a good city outside Lagos. The next Lagos like city (Ilorin). You can contact me on lakrem_330@yahoo.com if you are interested. If you are afraid of taking risk, kindly go for FD but mind you all investment has its own risk. |
Dont leave your guy becos of this , He is just an hustler , he knows what he is doing |
Please , Can the doctors in the house help identify my aliment and tell me what to do and how to get over it. I am a guy of 26 years but ever since I know my right from left, i have a problem of serious and continuous catarrh/ sneezing with running nose each time i wake up from a sleep and most especially in the morning but after leaving the environment, the sneeze might stop . Also, if i find myself in a little stuffy environment, i start this sneeze again. Though my grandmother was an asthmatic patient. My mother is asthmatic too but i dont get attacks like i see my mother getting, no wheezing, no dry cough (expect if i sneeze too much which might result in some cough), no much difficulty in breathing (but most time have block nostril especially in the morning when i wake up and I try to force it clear). I am tired of managing this aliment and need a solution to it. Kindly help! |
Try and get a copy of the a book titled"How to win friend and Influence people" by Dale Carnegie I hope it will help and you will be glad to have a copy |
I am sorry dont have time to read the poster justification and perspective but all America is saying to the Islamic world is to separate religion from government which I think its reasonable enough. "Democracy is the best system of government though not perfect" this statement is created to a Muslim MP in UK. I watched the program on Press Tv (Islam and Life). America is not demanding much from Islamic countries but separation of religion and government to bring about fairness, justice, truth, etc as prophet Muhammed (SAW) thought our Muslim brothers. |
The war at Gaza and West bank seems not ending and this is due to Palestine believe that Israel and Israelis are occupying their land vice versa. However, I will urge all Nairalander to give meaningful, intelligent and interesting contributions to this trend. Lets point the possible causes, those at fault, those who contribute to this war and differences and all other things that could reveal the truth about these occupied regions in Middle East. Dont forget, meaningful, intelligent and interesting contribution only. I am also using this medium to implore the moderator and Seun to keep this topic at the top of the list on international affairs as this Middle-East Issue is important to the world of international affairs.[pre][/pre] |
Hmmmm , I would rather prefer public school. I am a product of public schools and I am proud to be. Besides, I worked at a private school and see how scores are manipulated and parents exploited. The school authority did not allow us to give the kids their right scores becos their parents wont be happy to see their kids/wards performing poor despite several exploitations. The only thing about private school is that they could teach your kids speaking English till day break but what about other subjects. Let ask them are they not manipulating their kids result to sweet parents I am witness to it.I personally prefer public school for my kids but could send lazy teachers of my kids to labour market again if they are not doing their job rightly becos its the right of my kids to have a sound and proper education from their government. |
victorazy:Correct Word, leaving the issue of biblical or not. The problem with us is that we leave out the issue of what keeps the marriage going forever and take too serious peripheral issues in marriage. Though I will prefer to spend more time with my babe anywhere than spending on the wedding ceremony. |
Kindly advise me on how to end 2 years virginal discharge of my girlfriend. It was discharge like sticky/ moist tissue paper, yellowish/ milky in color, it smelled very offensive, and complain of hitching , We have been to 2 doctors, one gave her injection and some some medicines but it didnt help a bit. We later when to the second doctor who gave her injection also, yitcan (virginal Inserted Medicine), a cream for the surface, and asked us to buy diflocan(a medicine) which we bought. The doctor also told her to do some hygienic process which include soaking and washing pants in hot water, ironing before wear which she did. Although the discharge and the offensive odor stopped after taking the diflocan and when using the inserted drug. Some days after the inserted drug finished, the discharge started again, dirty white-like color, offensive odor, not sticky like before. kindly note that she enjoy sex more when on drug or when she is not discharging but have pains whenever the discharge is around. I will appreciate constructive responses as this is not a joke becos I dont want this to affect our relationship. Prescription of a better drug is high welcomed and other things that could end this 2 years of unusual discharge. Thank you all, as I hope to read from you soon. |
