Red meat is my thing too, steak in my mind... Hey guess who's eating steak and eggs for breakfast. This is my 'unhealthy' meal of the day and I couldn't even eat half of it. The rest of the day will be salad and fish or smoothie. So help me God.

Well I don't really see her outfit in that picture as indecent except of course I would have adviced her to wear a less 'shouty' skirt that's nothin close to red in color.
But I don't believe this has anything to do with gender. If I was an interviewer, any employer who doesn't look set for the job whether male or female will get rejected too. So maybe In the eyes of the Interviewer, she didn't look dressed for the office. |

Islie: But there are some men who get hooked up just because of the physical attributes the lady posses and not the others.....
But..... Its a wake up call to the ladies not to just go obese because you are married...... The man might seek help outside even if he doesn't divorce you you think women don't like good looks? Maybe you should be considering it a wake up call for men to not let themselves go after marriage so that the wife won't seek 'help' outside Orisirisi. Anything to excuse misbehavior. |

You haven't grown thick skin? Better do. I did and it is working fine. So when one idiot comes and insults your family for having a different opinion from him/her or wishes you ill or labels you as part of a 'group', you dish them right back their medicine and walk on. Too effective. If I remember correctly, I don't Always agree with your opinions but it has never stopped us from being nice to each other. When you meet folks unlike you who can't take disagreement without implying that they are better than you, don't even let it bother you. Just give them correct dose of their medicine (if you're in the mood) and move on. edwife: I wonder why someone you never met will dislike or hate you on an anonymous forum just because you do not share their views.Even when your post makes sense, but because you are "an enemy"(stupid i must say) they won't read it or even like it.Unless you had a public fight with that person i see no reason for it.
Too many sad people around, the thirst is real...
That's why i love you chillisauce and Efe,you are your own person-we can be on the same thread and have totally different opinions which happens MOST of the time but you always YOU(friendly, mature, nice and lovely) and that's has never change our relationship.

TV01: I wasn't planning on posting this evening, but had to rush in to drop a few lines before the urinal destroyers arrived to browbeat or shame you into questioning or going against your natural inclinations.
Firstly - you dey craze? A well set rack is important to you and you don't already consider it a "quality". Let me tell you this; if you do marry a woman with a decent rack and you don't let her know by constant verbal reference and indiscriminate groping - in addition to dedication "appreciation slots" - that you find it amongst her foremost qualities you are dulling.
If big b00bs (how quaint) mean a lot to you, don't you by any means choose someone who doesn't have a set that will put your eye out if she executes a right turn to quickly.
There is nothing wrong with you or your desire; if it's marvellous mammaries that you desire, it's the least you deserve for the hard work you are going to put into building a home and providing for your wife and any children you may have. What may I ask is wrong with having something to look forward to at the end of a long hard day at work ?
I am serious, if you marry someone without them, you'll never be satisfied and the risk of straying will be greatly amplified. The only exception is if you meet someone who presents such a compelling case, that her lack of the chest size you would ideally like makes absolutely no difference to your desire to marry her - even then, give it time so that your eyes can clear, just in case.
If you do get what you want, know that there are potential downsides, be sure to mentally consider and fully embrace that possibility. And it might be an idea to carry out some discreet checks .
To answer your questions; yes & yes !
I'm off upstairs

pak: Just decided to quote you but my response is actually directed to 75% of the respondents on this thread
I think a short course in psychology should be made available to all students in our schools.
Yes, on the surface, blame the girl but truth is, what's happening to her is called 'trauma bonding' and it is realer than we think.
If a man beats a woman (or God help us,vice versa) and she doesn't leave the first time, reality is that she will never leave again. At least not by herself, unless an external force comes into play or maybe it becomes critical and she breaks her bone or something of that nature but if it's regular beatings, it will continue forever and she will never be able to stop it on her own. The psychology at play are numerous and simple 1. We desire more to find closure on an issue via the source of the hurt in the first place. If someone hurts you, nothing takes away the pain like an 'heart felt' apology from that person. Hence, love from the abuser becomes some sort of prize for the abused, odd but true
2. One thing abusers instinctively realize is that beating a woman is less of a physical assault and more of an emotional wound. It's her self esteem you are tearing at. Few things make a woman feel more worthless than being beaten by the man she loves. That is why, if she doesn't leave the first time, her self esteem will only get progressively weaker until her subconscious begins to justify the beatings
I don't blame the girl, I pity her. She's more of a victim than a fool.
People who grow up in abusive homes are very susceptible to either become abusers or abused in relationship. These guys don't know 'normal'. The pattern of abuse is their default position.
And folks need to grow up. Her case has little or nothing to do with money. Most guys that beat their women are actually poor broke arse. The average successful guy does not have a confidence crisis nor needs to prove his superiority, his confidence speaks for him.
@Yomieluv - You actually did the right thing in that scenario but my problem with you is the kind of friends you keep, is it by force ? How do you have friends who are so psychotic to the extent of beating a girl until her sandals get torn just because she came to visit him unannounced ?? That is absolutely crazy - I advise you recommend a shrink for the animal you call your friend. I just hope your friendship with him does not say a thing or two about you or is he doing anything of benefit to you cos I wonder why you choose to maintain such friendship in the first place and you can't tell him pointedly to his face that he was a fool for treating the girl that way (I woud have done that) - I ask is friendship by force ?? |

OluwaChinenyenwa: Thanks, but the mum asked to come home? Why do i have to go home and do the trad? Does she have any other motive? She is supposed to be in London for the white wedding but she changed her plans and said we have to do trad first of all which is going to be in Nigeria? This is ridiculous, going home for traditional marriage? When i can have one here? Well ask her first if she would be fine with representatives coming to stand in for you and your fiancé. If she agrees to that, then probably she has no other motives. If you ask me, I wouldn't even suspect her of any other motives than that she would like to really know the family her son is marrying from. Which is not a bad thing. Like some folks suggested, you can also ask your dad to help you locate his family. I really don't want to sound like I'm being rude to your dad but Na wa for him sha. Will he insist on not talking to his people even if it affects his kids? his family members too are hard of heart. Your mom's only sin was being from another tribe yet until now that you're adult probably over two decades old, they won't relate with him for marrying her. Such deep tribal hatred. What of his mom your grandma? She let her son go forever just for marrying a woman from another tribe? At least they say mother's love is strong abi? Hmm Pls don't judge your fiancé's mom harshly. I would be worried if my son was marrying from a line of such heart hardened folks. If your dad and his folks won't make up, your only choice is your mom's folks. That's could be the only solution for you. Or will you keep leaving Fiancé after Fiancé? Unless you marry a non-african, most men you meet will want a traditional marriage. |

deeptesting: Thank you. I am not given up, i know it is feasible and will surely keep my search active as per your recommendation above. well as long as she knows up front that you don't want anymore kids from the marriage as is totally fine with it, then no wahala. But honestly speaking, the chances of you meeting a young unmarried lady with no child from another man who's willing to settle without kids is very slim. When I said a few of them exist, I was being really generous. So be prepared to be scammed into another fatherhood by a desperate single lady who thinks she will marry you first and then get pregnant 'by mistake'. |

OP you don't need to feel ashamed for doing that. I understand why because you're surrounded by folks who don't do same so it seems like you're the odd one but your head is in the correct place. Say: thank you, please, I'm sorry etc at all the appropriate times and places even when they don't expect it. And always wear a smile. You will stand out among the rest of the rude, lousy and noisy people. |
