My hubby Sagamite is always ever so busy at the shrine, I hardly get to see him. Bennyrazz is still in the same juju line as Oga Saga, but still learning the ropes. Although I've got to admit that his belief in juju is unshakable. I go try manage Benny boy to see if he shapes up. Who knows, perhaps he'll take over BoboYekini's houseboy duties sef...
babyosisi: Let them take their American wife to a party Na dem go take off her coat Na so so "are you ok dear?" "Are you alright honey?" " everything alright love"? If na naija wife, for where,na who go ask you? And when the woman says she is not ok,he gets up and they leave, party's over If na naija wife ,who born you You leave when he decides it is time to leave Our culture can be very crude wallahi That is the problem Americans have with African men
Well then I can say My DH is an epitome of Americanized man I guess. Because he does more than all that:
He even wears apron to cook (no he doesn't bake )
I'm just saying I think she generalized a bit too much. That's the problem with generalizations. They take attention away from the details and lump everyone in the same boat.
But she totally right about them not liking women taller than them just like most women don't like guys shorter than them. It's a genetic thing maybe. BTW I think she's pretty
babyosisi: But everything she says is true sha Our men are tough Only our women can handle them as they are Go and see naija men married to AA or Oyibo, they do what you could never believe our men are capable of They will be cooking and cleaning and baking without complaining Yes honey Yes sweetie Running around serving guests
We went to visit one and he was baking An Igbo man o,wearing apron and baking and serving guests Had his wife been nigerian that will never happen He will sit and be cracking jokes while his wife is cooking and serving
For them to marry Americans they make major adjustments which many of our men are not willing to make
This girl is very correct in her observation
I don't know why that's a funny picture to imagine.
Abi? I can imagine different scenarios of such a thread. The lady would be evil because she didn't want her kids to visit her mother-in-law meaning she's suspecting her of something. We would ask her if she would have said no if it was her own mother.
@2nd, I honestly do not understand it. See How We all blamed the in-laws because they do not have the right to slap the guy or vandalize his cars even If he told his MIL an outright no. They are his kids and decides whereever they spend their hols same as wify.
We did not start wondering How the husband spoke to the MIL or. If he truly called her a witch.
Let a woman open This thread with exactly same details: She for hear am.
Evina: LOL @ African tacos. Reminds me of the dude that said to the boli seller, "madam, how much for these African sausages"? Madam replied, " my pikin, dis one na 50dollar, dis one na 100dollar, dis one na... The guy just interrupted the lady, "madam! For boli again"!!!
Cococandy, that looks really palatable. Hmmmm. Herzumpther, time never reach for you to go maggi cooking competition?
tchiwinnie: Thank u plenty. Did u bake d chicken b4 mixing wt d sauce? Or did u just mix after boiling?
i broiled it. If your oven doesn't have the broil option, you can bake at high temperature like 400•, checking it constantly until it is as cooked as you want it. I wanted my a bit dry because I was gonna soak it in sauce anyway so I broiled it.
coogar: she's a 21st century wife. taking responsibility for her action isn't part of her gene pool. the hubby stabbed himself in the neck according to her. at least, she should own up that he did it out of passion, jealousy & rage.
i hope she gets the lethal injection.....
why should she get the lethal injection. When did cheating stop being a good excuse to kill your spouse?
I'm not going to get into a theological debate with you over this.
I just wanna read and entertain myself with your juju-fearing posts.
You know, I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think you were born 500 years too late. You definitely would have been an awesome apprentice juju priest...with your rows and rows of shelves stacked with the sightless skulls of your enemies.
Who knows, I may even have toasted you at the riverside with a clay pot filled with guinea fowl eggs, native chalk, and some Banga soup.
tchiwinnie: lovely. Pls how did u prepare d tomato sauce? Dit it hv dat sour tomato taste. I think i ll make this tomorrow.
No it didn't. I buy the non-tart type of tomatoes but if you find yours sour, you can add a teaspoon of sugar or cook the tomatoes for longer if you have the patience. I blended ginger, little garlic, my fresh tomatoes and canned chunky tomato sauce (not tomato paste). The procedure is pretty much the same way you make stew. Except you use little olive oil. You can use normal pepper is lieu of Tabasco.
Nmeri17: brothers and sisters, I just finished cooking dinner this evening. next thing I saw was my spags taking selfies of itself and even going as far as picmixing it
well there's nothing wrong in advising someone to make peace as the bigger person even if they weren't the first to attack. There's only a BIG problem when we blindly refuse to address the wrong party.
