When they tell you people to support feminism, you run your mouths like tap as if it means you will stop breathing by supporting female equality.
If your mom wasn’t seen as an inferior being in your family, they wouldn’t be dragging her husband’s properties with her.

PrimadonnaO:
Yes, of course, in an ideal situation. We all want the ideal situation. But if the father fails in being sufficiently available for the kids, the mother shouldn't. Just as financial provision is the primary responsibility of the father, so also is nurturing the kids the primary responsibility of a mother. That's what I've been saying.
You said a woman should earn.
You ‘forgot’ to add a man should nurture too.
You were clearly one sided with your post.

All these women policing other women
Family › Re: Parenting Advice For Career Women From Pastor Mrs Olamide Timi David by cococandy(f): 12:25am On Nov 21, 2017
PrimadonnaO:
What's your point exactly? Women ought to sit at home to nurture the kids and family? But if she has to work, then family becomes secondary? I really don't understand what you're countering.
My point is that if she has to work too, the husband should make the family his priority as much as she makes it hers. It shouldn’t be all on her. It take two to tango. Very simple.

Family › Re: Parenting Advice For Career Women From Pastor Mrs Olamide Timi David by cococandy(f): 9:06pm On Nov 20, 2017
@bold, and why do you think that is?

Doesn’t take a genius to know why.
PrimadonnaO:
Whichever way it works out for the couple involved. But in a situation where the man isn't as understanding and supportive as your husband is, it becomes the woman's responsibility to step up. Often, women are the ones who do most of the sacrificing.

I'm not talking with both sides of my mouth. She can work or start up a business, but not a job that's so demanding such that there's little or no time to bond and cater for husband and kids.
Family › Re: Parenting Advice For Career Women From Pastor Mrs Olamide Timi David by cococandy(f): 9:05pm On Nov 20, 2017
You’re talking with both sides of your mouth.
If the woman has to put the kids and family above everything else, the man has to MAKE SURE he can support them all financially without her contribution.
Stop making excuses for those who seek to punish women in the name of marriage.
It’s like you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
PrimadonnaO:
The responsibility of the woman I mentioned up there isn't to become bread winner. It remains the man's primary responsibility to provide the resources for the home...Primary, not sole responsibility.

That's the point I've been trying to make. Gone are those days when women stay as full time house wives their entire lives. In marriage, partners no longer make decisions on their own without consulting the other partner involved. So, a wife cannot just decide to sit at home raising kids without her husband consenting. That's what I meant by a supportive and understanding husband. He has to understand the need to devote time to the kids and the home and be willing to take up the financial responsibilities all by himself. But in the event that such doesn't happen, in the event that he doesn't want a stay-at-home-wife or isn't adequately sorting out the financial responsibilities that involves the wife's personal needs, feeding, kids' upkeep, housing expenses and even to the wife's parents and siblings (if need be), what happens? Would the wife continue to sit at home and be managing so much when she can do her bit to earn and improve their standard of living?

Effort just has to be made to strike a balance somewhere. You're lucky to have a husband who meets yours and the home's financial needs satisfactorily while you devote time to the kids. Not everyone gets to have it conveniently that way.
Not everyone even wants it that way.

Different strokes for different folks. So, my personal take still remains that a wife should earn, too. But she shouldn't be chasing money at the detriment of her family. The children would grow up and she can begin to devote more time to career/business. It's a step by step thing.

People can’t just mind their businesses
Events › Re: Ehi Ogbebor And Kenneth Bramor's Wedding Everyone Is Talking About (Photos) by cococandy(f): 6:14pm On Nov 20, 2017
Please what’s rude in asking you folks to mind your own business?
nairamaniac:
Can't believe u WD come out soo rudely to me? U took it so personal, like I was castigating the bride or envied her or was against her happeness/marriage.
Im trying to be as polite to you as possible for several reasons.
But I feel u messed up on this one.

Is there anything wrong in me criticizing/scrutinizing the personality of people I see/meet on social-media.
Or i should be scared of them because they are rich or they are stars??

Mind u, I'm the least judgmental person u can find. I think I even complimented your nose ring few years back. And told you I would marry your twin sister if she was as real/crazy as you are.

But here am seeing an elderly woman in mid-thirties posting all sorts of dirty pics on her Facebook. With transgenders , lesbian having sex, Roman Goddess, women fingering themselves on her uploads and you think its swag or normal?

Mind you, when I mentioned about her second-marriage, I wasn't criticising or condemning her.
I only meant she should be more experience as a person and a wife as this isn't the 1st time she is getting married.

Please my dear, try to argue or discus with people on this forum without prejudice.

I notice you pick fights with people that criticize any female for doing unladylike things.

Toks2008 and tosyne2much may not be right all the time. But your default mindset of them anytime you see their post is "they have come again to bring women down, let me stand up for my fellow women''.

Please take it easy cococandy, no one here is fighting with you.

Try to discuss(argue) constructively and objectively.

Thank you!

Same way you accused me of going to Ehi Ogbebor's Facebook page with intentions of judging her.

So my dear, with all due respect, you are a HYPOCRITE.

Newbie undecided
Funkdafied:
In the first place, readers go to people's Facebook page, Instagram, profile pics for several reasons which may not include intent of judging or castigating them.

And yes, the past experiences of someone should affect the current character/personality of the person.

Mind you, I respect her getting married again. I'm totally happy for her. And never judged her a bit.

And let's not deceive ourselves, what we post on our walls, pictures and things we say, especially if obsessively is a reflection of our state of mind.

You are deceiving yourself if you think impressions don't matter?

I went thru your posts. All I can say is that your obsession to speak for the weak, women, abused, do not come out to be delusional, rude , self-deceptive and fake.

Its just a friendly advice.

Why the aggressive-defence and rudeness? Is she your relative or your role model?

Speak for yourself, everything becomes everyone's business when put into the public domain.
Out of curiosity, I had to check out her uploads on Facebook.
And I'm wondering the same thing if there's a mixup somewhere in my phone or fb account.

It doesn't tell well for a woman , getting married and also with past failed marriage(s).
@bold is exactly why I think you should mind your own business. I knew your post had something to do with your just now expressed line of thinking. What were you looking for on her Facebook page? If not some reason to judge her. undecided

Because she’s a woman she’s not supposed to post what she likes. Tskk

Mind your own business

Is it just me on this forum that noticed the exotic pics this bride has on Facebook uploadshuh

All the world's nudists, whores, strippers are littered over there.

From Eudoxie Yao, Amber Rose, Nicki minaj, to transgenders and lesbians even making-out.

Please is there something I am missing here??

Are these girls are role models?
Or she's a ponography director?
Or she's just one of them?

What are such pics doing on her picture collections.

Or maybe there's a mixup some where from my side.

But someone should help me check this Ehi Ogbebor on facebook.

What the fuckkkk are you saying? Is it now that you are noticing such? When this alone is cultural, an ideology and religious. Girls/women are seen as third class citizens in a lot of African countries. Shuuuu... babe check in your family you might even have pedophiles and rapist, they go hand in hand. If you think I am just talking shit, ask your grandfathers what age they were and what age your grandmother was when they got married.

I am surprised people are shocked at these events that have been going on since the beginning of patriarchy.
