desgiezd: It is so, so sad seeing a Nigerian talking this way! Do we now say because oil is gotten from the ND then we should condone stealing? Do you realise what the money from the stolen oil would have done for even the down trodden ND people? Have you noticed that the stolen oil only goes to the pocket of a very few? Have you also realised that monies that have been stolen by people in government - past and probably present along with money from stolen oil may likely be part of the funds being used to fund Boko Haram thereby putting the lives of ordinary Nigerians in jeopardy?

Please change your line of thought!
What Do you mean by so sad? Number one the oil is stolen by Niger deltans, this is Nigeria where anything goes. The solution to the problem is just one thing, I will never say it enough, it is proper resource control. let the locals control the oil industry and pay appropriate tax to the central government. that will equally give the thieves a sense of belonging and they will be compelled to stop stealing and they will contribute to the development of the national economy of Nigeria. engaging the army in it will be counter productive because there is so much money to be made therefore paying them huge bribes. more than what they earn in a year will be paid to them in one week, so they will quickly turn a blind eye to it
if you have malaria, take anti malaria drugs not pain relievers like panadol

drshrewd: Nigerian really deserve the leaders they have. these two posters above are typical Nigeria sycophants! imagine people publicly cheering evil lipsrsealed I am am a bonny man from Rivers state and am deeply involved in the oil and gas industry as such i can school you about the shady deals going on in the industry and the principal players. i just pity this generation of sycophants cry
I am by no means a sycophant. I only said I don't care about the oil theft, it is their land and let them have the benefits. as an igbo man I can't lay any claim on anything oil in Nigeria so let those who can, do so. if Nigeria burns today I care less all my life I have been paying for everything I have albeit some by my parents.
If there was a proper resource control this would not have been an issue. and I am not sure you are from Bonny. if you were from there you would not have been sad about the situation because when you bring ant infested wood into your house you should not complain if lizzards pay you a visit. common sense is the only thing that is not common
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Leads G5 With Highest Oil Theft by cocoduck: 2:42pm On Jul 10, 2014
drshrewd: all hail the the man from otueke. stealing is not corruption it is just ordinary grin grin grin he has broken record in all indexes of stealing to the extent of encouraging and institutionalizing it. The Rivers government bought two surveillance jet to checkmate oil theft in the region but they were seized and grounded by mr 'ordinary stealing' to allow his stealing cronies the full taste of the oil money. he pays billions of naira to ex militant to secure oil vessels and pipelines yet oil theft is all time high. what a president with great penchant and predilection for corruption huh
What do you know about oil theft? the owners of the land are the ones doing it. That is their own way of benefiting from the natural resource in their land. I don't see anything wrong with it. I am not from the Niger delta so I care not. if there was a proper resource control in Nigeria this would not have been an issue. the way you make your bed so you shall lie on it. don't blame the president.

Guk: Go and check her record in OBJ's cabinet when she was in Due Process; Ministry of Solid Minerals and Ministry of Education. The facts speak for themselves.

Dont also forget that she was the one that demanded from Lamido Sanusi & Ngozi Iweala to explain how Billions of $ disappeared from Excess Crude Account whcih led to NOI saying it was shared by states and Rotimi Ameachi countering that he as gov never consented to the sharing.

Okupe tried to rattle her by casting aspersions on her budgets as Ministers and she challenged all of them to an open TV debate to scrutinize her spending in govt. Of course govt backed down becos they had nothing on her and thats why they are still running helter skelter to scuttle #Bringbackourgirls as they cant pin anything on her. She no be chop i chop woman o! She no need govt money o...she no poor when she enter govt o
Leave that thing. I wasn't born today. I was born a very very long time ago. I know Nigeria's political class very well.

If this is the price we have to pay to have a good local league both male and female
so be it. Both the government and the private sector keeps on pumping money into the development of football in this country to develop the game but NFF officials keep on embezling the funds how then can we have a good football league when the people who should be organizing the game are only interested in their pockets. there is no other option left for the government other than to arrest these idiots and replace them with the likes of Segun Odegbami Jay Jay okocha Ben Iroha Garba lawal etc they know. these are professionals they know exactly what to do to develop the beautiful game not a cattle rearer like aminu may garry. what football club did he play how football in?

When PDP threw them out, they quickly become 'emergency' Human Rights Activist. Nonsense!

PoliticsRe: #bringbackourgirls: Security Forces know Their Motive – Marilyn by cocoduck: 10:27am On Jul 10, 2014
Guk: You do not need a mole to know what #Bringbackourgirls is all about. All their activities are open for all to see and participate. Read through their twitter handle and you would understand their mindset and i can tell you categorically that every single KOBO donated to and spent by #Bringbackourgirls is detailed to the last kobo and can be accessed if you ask for it. Oby Ezekwesili does not give a hoot to all your accusations by FG, this woman has been like this since i first met her in 1992...it is not in her DNA to thief anybody's money. She is one of the most principled Nigerians you can ever come across.

As for Madam Ogar, her seating posture on TV yesterday at the press conference says it all.
Total rubbish. was she not among obasanjo's cabinet
NOI left because of the mago mago that were going on but she kept her dirty self in the government because of little stipends
SportsRe: FIFA Suspends Nigeria by cocoduck: 9:17pm On Jul 09, 2014
If this is the price we have to pay to have a good local league so be it. NFF is Nigerian football's biggest enemy. just go and ask random Nigerian youngster to mention 10 football clubs in Nigeria they cannot do that. But if you ask them to mention that of BPL they would mention all the clubs that were in the premier league last season and will even mention the names of players in various BPL clubs.
I want Nigerian football league to be as good as at least that of Mexico or brasil. with interesting salaries and stadia and kits. I am tired of European football.

Obiagu1: I named 'foreign tacticians' that got knocked out in the same tournament Keshi featured in with a much inferior team, yet they didn't better keshi's achievement.
So what is so foreign about tacticians you so desire if you are not a damed inferior human inherently

... and you want to tell me you understand football?
Please leave that mor0n alone. when you tell somebody to buy big screen tv to watch a football match he thinks you are insulting him, he prefers using Nokia 3310 to watch football matches. I wonder if he is talking about that France vs Nigeria match or another. who would have done better when it was very clear that the ref was biased against Nigeria. if the ref had shown matuidi a red card Nigeria definitely would have won the match.
SportsRe: Foreign Coaches Scramble For Super Eagles Job by cocoduck: 2:14pm On Jul 03, 2014
A good coach never scrambles for a job. but useless mercenaries looking for money would, so if they are employing a foreign coach then anything less than mourinho is tantamount to football wilderness.

Nihilist: Nigeria's ineptitude at set pieces this World Cup epitomises just how useless Keshi is.

No dedicated corner taker, Musa couldn't beat the 1st man, Mikel just punted it to the back post...

4 of the 5 goals we conceded in total were directly from set pieces, and any half decent tactician would have noticed this deficiency and moved to correct it.
Please STFU if you don't know what to say. you think that world cup is for kids. fyi Nigeria has not won any match in the world cup for 16 solid years. the people that should have done the job git injured at the wrong time elderson echiejile got injured ogboabona is the one assigned to play where yobo should have played but he got injured during Iran game babatunde broke his wrist and we don't have the likes of jay jay in the middle. abeg if you don't like keshi then go and play fifa ON Nokia 3310

SportsRe: Keshi Resigns & Yobo Quit Super Eagles by cocoduck: 12:48am On Jul 01, 2014
Stephen Keshi did a fantastic job, African nations cup and world cup are definetly not the same, if were, why hasn't egypt lifted the world cup? and who then do NFF go for as national team coach? Sia1? of course not, he could not even qualify for the AFCON, so anybody less that MOurinho, if you want a foreign coach, you are wasting your time, na wa for all these arm chair coaches, keshi needs time to build on his successes, he is a fantastic coach.
It will be easier for Boko haram to lay down their arms than for Nigeria to go past the last 8 in the world cup, come on france has a very good domestic league, so how can you whose domestic league is just 5hit beat franc at this stage, blame NFF not Keshi, blame the cattle rearer called May garri, how many children can mention 5 nigerian league clubs? you that same child can mention 15 BPL clubs without batting an eyelid. So stop cying over spilt milk

That is what you get when you put politicians in sensitive positions. look, professionals don't sell their souls to the devil. just look at nff had it been that somebody like segun odegbami or jay jay is at the head of the federation
PoliticsRe: Anyone Listening To Africa Debate On Bbc Network Africa by cocoduck: 11:23pm On Jun 29, 2014
At ms Steph
that is exactly the problem, none of the political parties can present an honest professional candidate because of how disorganizedour country is.Have you forgotten that professionals don't sell their souls to the devil. so you must commit or sacrifice one the or the other to get to that position. just take a look at nff and other football federations of various African countries you will understand, former footballers are excluded from running their contriese football by politicIans just hijack everything

Aspireahead: like one of the audience said, their is a disconnect between the ruled and those who rules
Then who is to blame for the disconnect
GEJ? no I don't think so because it started when evenhe was a baby, every government in Nigeria both local, state and federal have the same thing. so for federal government it is understandable but that of state and local government really beats me, those peoplethere feel like their own priorities is the same with the people they govern. We need true federalism in Nigeria, Nigeria is not cursed. bad leadership is not the problem but one of the symptoms of the problem which is the fact that Nigeria is disorganized as a country. A house cannot stand on a faulty foundation.

PoliticsRe: Fayose's Victory: A Thousand Steps Backward And a Very Sad Day For All Nigerians by cocoduck: 8:20am On Jun 28, 2014
The only way out of this mess is true federalism, nowhere on this planet is unitary system mixed with federalist system, only in Nigeria, if we want unitary system then we should go for it 100% of 100% federalism (preferred) not mixing everything up because it causes confusion, then the confusion leads to every other problem, both election rigging corruption, insecurity etc, so for me I have concluded to myself that nothing bad in Nigeria will be of interest to me until we have true federalism in this country, all these you are seeing happening in Nigeria is as a result of the confusion the practice of unitary but wearing it a toga of federalism, confusion! anarchy! and general malaise.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Insists Ban On Tokunbo Cars Not To Cause Hardship To Nigerians by cocoduck: 11:49am On Jan 05, 2014
do you have a desire for Nigeria to become industrialized if yes then support this policy it is a painful but important step forward No obe invests any dime where there is little or no demand two years is such a short time let us be patient It is not that we do not have an auto manufacturing company already those who say gej should lead by example have a very good point
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Insists Ban On Tokunbo Cars Not To Cause Hardship To Nigerians by cocoduck: 10:02am On Jan 04, 2014
no pain no gain. yes when is it buhari or ibb taxed the auto manufacturing industry and left the importers did the importers need to import many cars at first before the tax hike no, instead when the tax hike kicked in they all started to import many cars. therefore I believe that the higher tarrif will on the ither way round encourage local manufacturing of cars. by the way we alteady have one that is innoson . the Japanese ambassador already affirmed that Japanese car manufacturers are ready st start building car manufacturing factories here in Nigeria. the only opposition is because of Nigerians' penchant for foreign goods. look at how they talk down aba made products without first of all comparing and contrasting
PropertiesWhy Critcize The Buyer And Leave The Seller by cocoduck(op):
I am wondering why Nigerians congratulate the sellars of their own percel of land and chastise the buyers accusing them of land grabbing. I thought that for example drug pushers and drug abusers and addicts all get punished why is it that land becomes a different case. After all no one was forced to sell his or her land, so if you lambast the buyer why do you welcome the seller. I thought it takes two to tango.
Some of you do not know the pitiable state Nigeria is that is why you are still thinking it is business as usual. Nigeria is at a very critical juncture and all hands needs to be on deck to prevent Her from sliding down into abyss.

Jonathan is like a drunkard with a machine gun packed full with bullets, rather using it to kill enemies of the state on the battle ground, He is killing the forces of the state instead. You cannot let such a man live long on the battle ground! You decimate Him very quickly and that is what these meetings are all about cool

The Storm is only just beginning to gather, wait until 2014, like Ahaz, so is GEJ and We all know how Ahaz ended cool
This is too much talk. give us examples to prove what you've said. because I remember the person that said if he loses. he will make Nigeria ungovernable
