These senators are jokers, they seem to think with their anus everytime for selfish purposes. Ordinarily this would have been an excellent idea if we were practising true federalism.

Where do most states get money to pay their civil servants is it not from the allocation they get monthly. How can they legislate removing things from the exclusive list while the sharing formular is still the same.

Let's practice true federalism where each state responsible for its resources will also be responsible for whatever they want to pay civil servants in their states, while paying a % to the fed govt.

El Guapo: I can recall vividly Mikel stating back in 2005 that he was 'Pressured' into Signing for U guys, he had to change his mind.

Dont u think apart from the Commissions, that agents still go a step further in knowing where their clients wishes to ply their trade?

Mikel coulda still preferred Chelsea.

I think Mikel would still prefer chelsea but I don't think he would get enough playing time, talkless about the position he would play.

Why Gala, are they d only team asking after him? Mikel, I believe just improved his worth withis confed games, if shittu and himself cool down more offers might come. There is something about watching a player play week in week out and most pple don't have access to the turkish league, except when their teams come to europe.

Or is it the fair tax regime in turkey? Mikel can get a club in England or spain if he cools down.

Am one of those that feel Mikel is an annoying liability playing for chelsea because 90% of his passes are either sideways or backwards and most times plays like "make e no spoil for my hand" passes. This is accentuated by the fact that we all know this guy can play better than what he does for chelsea with his exploits in the age grade competitions that brought him to light. I felt he was finished playing for chelsea, but its obvious he is still a damn good and effective player when played in CMF.

That's his natural position, I was impressed seeing Mikel run FORWARD with the ball like a player looking for something 'a goal'

Am also convinced he should leave chelsea, cos he might not get enuogh playing time in the position he is most effective.

I take my words back, MIKEL can be a very influencial player when deployed rightly.

I wonder if he would have been the solution MAN UNITED need now if he had joined us, playing right in front of carrick, behind Rooney. He might have just lived up to the rankings that placed him beside oga MESSI.

Truth be told the fact still remains that ando/cleverly combo have always won us games regardless of how many they have been played together in, its still a 100% win rate, but all this conjectures about who and who were on the field when we won and lost games is irrelevant. Rooney and carrick have been on the field when we lost games.

The league will always be sorted out one way or the other, its 38games for christ sakes, any team that truely knows what it doing will be able to recover after a loss even if its due to a mistake of combination of players or someone was out of form or wrong tactics and strategy deployed. Man U regardless of the form of players or combination have proven time and time again that it knows how to navigate the league, the fact that Ando/cleverly combo have not lost a game, albeit the few they have played does not mean they will not lose someday. Well until that day.

The issue for me is EUROPE, we have not really pulled our weight in europe the way we should cos in the finals we had played in sentiments, dodgy ref decisions and complacency on the part of Fergie and the players most times made us lose to our opponents. I just want UNITED to be more convincing in europe.

Emperoh: Rumours have it Thiago Alcantara has agreed terms with Man Utd.
Who can confirm?
Am really hoping this is true. If we get strootman the attacking players can now permanently continue to attack without really thinking about falling back that much. I mean ones we have reliable MF and DMF that can distrupt counters against us the force would be going forward always.

elampiro: Kagawa played same role as Rooney for United in many matches and he flopped. He was also the one given the Rooney's role in Madrid.
Why don't you give credit to Kagawa for upping his game against the italians and even discrediting your views about his game, instead you are giving excuses like the the italians practically allowed him(kagawa) to shine. If he had had a stinker of a game you will be the first to point out how he would be a flop assuming the role of your beloved Rooney in UNITED.

To justify your love for Rooney you amplify his efforts in the NT as a player of immense quality, but when Kagawa does same for his NT its that the opposition gave him leeway.

Rooney should realise that there is competition for positions and only his improve performance will guaranty him a starting place regardless of his weekly wage.

Pls can someone confirm if this our new number plate system to be adopted is practised anywhere in d world.

Let's even know if they are copying a system used in another country, maybe we might understand it better and quicker.

The way FRSC and VIO and the rest will start harrasing people by oct no go get mate. I think its a very cumbersome idea that will not go down well with the way we do things in this country. And when did they add license, I thought the change affected only number plates.

Abi Ronaldo don come back and I nor know!! Anyways Moyes ha ving both Ronaldo and Rooney unhappy at UNITED na time bomb waiting to implode.

Rooney should go fuccck himself somewhere else, does he feel that if he leaves the club will go down or what. Nobody is denying his contributions (not this last season anyways) but being paid that amount is like fleecing the club everyweek of $250k especially with lackadaisical perfomances that is/are bereft of commitment.

dademola: Even if we buy ronaldo, wld moyes be able to handle his ego?? Wld moyes be firm and brave enof to make certain decisions regarding ronaldo??
That's an aspect I have also been thinking about. Will Moyes be able to handle his petulant behaviour if he is subed for whatever reason. Moyes must be given all the support for to understand that he is in charge and no player is bigger than the coach and club.

The only positive is if Ronaldo actually really wants to be a part of the team and respect the coach but again he wanted desperately to play for Madrid and mourinho is not a slouch that any player would want to mess with but yet he had problems with ronaldo.

Anyways, that's if oga Ronaldo comes back.

This is where the problem of the our supposed great nation lies. Everyone coming to abuja to collect money gotten from the sale of oil gotten from a particular region.

Its a disgrace that we are still following this path, if we claim to practice true federalism all this will not be neccessary, everybody collecting handout from Abuja.

They will still come back to collect the money, all this na shakara. GEJ does not have the balls to change the presnt situ and all those national assembly thieves will not allow the right thing to be done, especially the northern members.

Regionalism will be the best approach in practicing true fderalism in this country. 6regions and let's see how it goes. We have been on this "sharing money from Abuja" system and we are not faring well at all.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by codedguy1(m): 1:44pm On Jun 14, 2013
Mr_TA: We definitely do not need a number 10, we have Kagawa who is perfect for that so I don't think that is an issue. We need a strootman.
Depending on the formation UNITED would want to adopt which also depends on the opposition, we practically have two players for each position in the team. Whether they are good enough is another thing. The main problem is that position in front of carrick and I don't think Kagawa is suited for that, he plays better in the hole ,d that position is clear where Rooney commands, so he will clearly not be first team player.

Stroottman, well maybe!!

Moyes has not handled a game for us to see his disposition to the way he sets up the team for play. That's another critical part we all have to consider.

SailorXY: Ronaldo is not a luxury signing, he is a massive upgrade on what we can offer on the wings in Manchester United currently. With a player like Young starting in a club of this magnitude, I think Ronaldo's re-capture will be a statement of intent! With or without recruitment of midfielders, the league trophy will be 90% in the bag before a ball is kicked irrespective of who any other rival sign #fact. It is important Moyes avoids a trophy-less start because fans cannot afford to have as much patience for results as there was in the 80s.
I agre with you! Concerning the mid field, I guess the particular position needed is the traditional NO 10 position in the middle that sits in front of carrick and dictates the pace of the game while initiating and joining the attack. Cos in every other position we have atleast average players that can do the job?

Now who is that player that fits that role, the balance and style of play of carrick is what I think is causing the problem, he is not the typical destroyer cause he thrives on intercepting thru accurately reading the intentions of the opposing player, so do we buy a typical destroyer that sits with carrick or get a box to box midfielder which will affect how we set up upfront.

Wisfulthinking, if we have Ronaldo, Rooney, RVP and Nani as men attacking what would likely be the role of carrick vis a vis the midfielder we are looking for? Anderson comes to mind, but he has not lived up to speed, even though I still believe he can do it, cleverly?? Only plays excellently well when Anderson is on the pitch, that wud alter the entire setting.

All this is if Ronaldo returns and am talking about competing and wining in europe, we will always have a say in the EPL.

chrisley024: Wayne Rooney has warned Manchester United he wants to play as the main striker next season if he is to stay at Old Trafford - THE TIMES
I hope I don't understand that 'warned' the way we understand it in Naija, cos when u warn somebody it smacks off some sort of arrogance considering the situation.

So where will RVP play if UNITED accede to his terms, how dare he warn the club! Well I hope its joke sha and not true.

It seems the guy wants to leave and wants to force the club to take the decision so that he would be cut some slack.

UNITED should just sell this guy to the highest bidder abroad.

Screwface: Jose Monrinho's impending return back to Chlesea would only make David Moyes job a lot harder.cheesy
Honestly, I can't wait for the new season which promises to be so much fun. Nervous but anxious!
If the prospects that I hear he is after are anything to go by, I think he would do well. He is definitely gonna be given a free hand albeit a lot of advise which I think he needs to actually bed in.

Thiago alcantara and Fabregas would not be bad for our midfield, I just think we should keep Nani, there is an aspect to his game that gives us a positive unpredictability.

With mourinho in the mix, and City smarting over their lost title, next season would be interesting now that Fergie is gone and Arsene might attempt to try to win something.

elampiro: @coded guy, players don't have to pay our school fees or salary before we analyze football based on our perception. All of us here have no direct link to Manchester United or EPL. We burn megabytes, time, energy to analyze the games and players.

Only Rafael, Vidic and RVP have not received bashing on this thread. Does it mean our players are so bad? Then SAF must be a magician.
When did you come to this forum that you are concluding those guys have not been bashed? Even Vpersie during his 10games drought was questioned by some in here. His saving grace was that we all know what he is capable of/ his early performances coupled with his being new to the team.

As per the question of paying school fees, that again you need to scour through the thread to understand.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by codedguy1(m): 6:16pm On May 22, 2013
elampiro: Some are already complaining I am stressing Rooney's case too much. So I quit.

But lastly, Rooney went humbly to SAF to request to be transferred. It was a conversation that I heard. If he was rude about it, SAF would have shipped him sharp sharp. The first time it happened I was glad he reconsidered, just as I would have been glad if Ronaldo had reconsidered then.

RVP may have performed best this season, but there matches he wasn't just felt yet it was Rooney who would be substituted even if he was playing better. SAF did not balance that aspect and humans read and react to things in different ways. RVP went on a ten match drought and missed glaring chances against Chelsea in FA cup, against Madrid and a host of others. I guess SAF wanted to encourage him so that his confidence wouldn't drop. It isn't a good thing for your highest scorer to lost confidence.
You have been fellating on Rooney's D/*@ for some time and have realised its getting boring and decide to quit. Even then you can't resist adding one last Rooney indulgence.

Does he pay your sch fees? Anyways most feel if Rooneys commitment is not top notch for the team then he can/should be allowed to go it won't change anything about UNITED.

He has apparently denied asking for a transfer OFFICIALLY but if you go to the Boss to talk about leaving then it would be measured against a number of things that would ultimately place the club first. It it fails those test then he would allowed to go, but if the club still needs him then everything would be done to keep him.

But pleas don't make it look as if if Rooney leaves, UNITED will suffer. Afterall other very influential players have left and UNITED is still UNITED.

StarBoard: @elampiro,
Stop spewing this falsehood.
If you think van Nistelrooy was the problem, then your logic is flawed.
How can you term Kleberson, Djemba Djemba as formidable signings?
Roy Keane started being injured more often than not, how could we then have had a midfield that could challenge in Europe and at home?
2007/8, United had Carrick, Fletcher, Hargreaves and a newly-signed Anderson who dealt with Fabregas, Lampard and Gerrard in respective United fixtures vs the top four. Can you compare any of those with what we had in 2003-2006 as midfielders?
We had a rampaging Ronaldo, Luis Saha, and even Alan Smith along with Rooney in attack same year. We added Tevez for extra dimension.
Are you sure you were present around the era you are boldly declaring that we had personnel, when we finished 18 points behind Chelsea in 2005? Are you sure you feel that Chris Eagles, Johnson, Nardiello are part of the group that you call made men fit into the mould of "trophy-winning" players? Are you sure that Eckersley and Bardsley give your argument any credence?

I seriously doubt your United followership if you are putting up this as a defense.
Leave elampiro alone, he likes to write epistles about how he sees things and thinks that's the gospel truth.

The fear of RVN was the beginning of opposing keepers picking the balls from their net. He was phenomenal for United.

If Rooney wants to go let him go, the likes of Cantona and Ronaldo left and nothing happened. Rooney is a danm good player but should not hold United to ransom.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by codedguy1(m): 5:11pm On May 16, 2013
@ Elampiro

All this epistle you are writing on Rooney suggest that because he has been with us for 10 years we should play him whether he is fit or not.

How many players earn what Rooney is earning? Law of demand and supply my foot. Are you also suggesting that Man U can't or won't survive if rooney leaves. You can not be playing dismally and expect to play all the time, what ould the other players feel, is the club only to take how Rooney feels into consideration.

You assertion that he is probably the third best is very very debatable, there are players that have been very influencial to their clubs consistently over the last 5years bar Ronaldo and Messi.

Let him go to city and find out he would not be able to blend and frustration sets in, which probably had nothing to do with form only for form to dip as a result of his not being able to adapt. Whether they pay him more would not help his case. How old is he sef?

We can glaringly see what would happen to Madrid and Barca if those two aliens leave, but I can't say the same for Rooney. It will take some time for those 2 la liga giants to recover if Messi and Ronaldo leave.

Rooney is an important player for United, but he can be done without. We have a list of players that have left and we still survive. Stop making Rooney look like a god we can't do without.
