he likes that phrase "united do things the hard way" mantra. we have dropped 5 points in the last 3 games - all those games are winnable but he prefers morons in the midfield next to carrick. giggs completed 90 mins against city. jones completed 90 mins against west ham. i won't be surprised to see his wife completing 90 mins in that position next monday!

This is the same way he wanted to dwell on "united do things the hard way" last season that we lost the league from a position most would have sworn the league was wrapped up. He is doing it again. Like joke like joke!!!

Which sure game do we have left, apart from Villa who are fighting against getting relegated and spring a surprise, chelsea, Arsenal, westbrom and swansea are very very ddecent teams that should not be underestimated.

The team have been average this term judging from their performances,and that standard is/was enough to win the Prem, but I think Fergies selections, judgements, substitutions and sentiments have cost us more points than anything else.

If/when we eventually win, I'll just be happy for the new players like Vpersie, young, kagawa, buttner etc for getting a medal, apart from dat, I go just dey sha.

The problem has been Fergies' sentiments, judgements and selections of our teams.

And most of these selections involve Giggs and scholes playing at this stage. Young players like pogba left because of all these sentiments, as someone said how would the likes of cleverly and Ando feel when an 80 year old Giggs is playing 90mins against a team like City, even for pride reasons we should not be losing such a match.

NaaA I think you should take it easy, Nani had a stinker of a game today does not mean he is not a good player, maybe the world class tag might be a little to far fetched but I think he is an excellent player on his day. Nobody is scapegoating Giggs, in a game of this magnitude you need your best players on the pitch, the fact that Giggs was playing well did not mean that was the best option. Fergie sentimentally played giggs while we had a more potent Rooney on the bench. That's a no no.

The fact that Rooney had a below par game at the bernabau does not mean he would have a bad game at old trafford, a home high octane game. There is also no way we would know he wouldn,t have performed well at home.
In a game like this you play him cos over time he has been one of our best players especially in high tension games like this.

You are playing a CL game against 9 time champs, real Madrid with a coach like maurinho and Fergie is being sentimental about one 40yr old playing his 1000th game. Which is more important, winning the game or Giggs hitting his 1000th game in style.

Yes Giggs played very well, but Rooney on the pitch would have given us a sharper edge against Madrid and given them something to worry about far better than what Giggs was offerring even though he was playing well. IMO

Fergie also reacted slowly to the red card, as soon as Modric was brought in we needed another body in the middle to distract/hassle him and any player from, young, Ando, rafael and smalling would have been capable of doing that.

Mr_TA: Jones injury has forced a rethink. I'm guessing Welbeck will start because he had a good first leg v Madrid. So I think it'll be Welbeck,rvp,Rooney up top. Midfield seems like Carrick,Cleverley and Valencia will be the middle 3. Though I wouldn't be surprised to see Kagawa for Welbeck. I'm guessing Vidic comes in for Evans?
