I would rather send my children to OAU, Lag, Uniben and even Lasu rather than waste my money on overhyped institution.

Till date, UI still produces the best doctors followed by Lag then Unilorin,

Till Date Lasu still produces best law students in Law school..

I don't want to stress myself listing many areas that other universities products are way ahead of these overhyped private unis.

Don't get it twisted... My emphasis is on the OVERHYPE status and I'm not condemning any institution... Its all bout choice
If God gave you only one child like Simi's(the musician) mum, I hope you will willingly send that child to Otukpo Campus of Benue state university or OAU.

Don't let ignorance inspired hate kill you o. The school fees has a breakdown and I expect you to challenge the breakdown instead of your vague rants. What will you do differently in the breakdown? Will you offer accommodation at N10k a year and maintain its quality or will you open the doors of the school to kidnappers and cultists looking to imprison new souls instead of acquiring and disseminating knowledge.

Politics › Re: Restructuring: No President Can Solve Nigeria Problem Without Doing This by CodeTemplar: 12:13pm On Nov 11, 2022
hedonido:
How exactly will restructuring or true federalism 'end' Nigeria's economic stagnation? How? I'm curious.

The clamour for restructuring and true federalism would clearly give greater control to the federating units/regions, and promote a sense of localised power, but that's even unlikely - because the minorities within each region would still cry out about inequalities and marginalisation.

Then of course the most immediate reality that would emanate from true federalism is that the core North would be absolutely penurized because the largesses they have unfairly enjoyed for decades would be eliminated. So of course there would be no near term 'improvement' in the economy of the North. Rather, their economic woes will be x10 of what it is today.

The truth is that true federalism or restructuring is more a cry for justice - justice for the South specifically - than anything else. That's why the North cannot and will never entertain any such talk.
Restructuring indeed is the only way out. Though lots of ignorant and self seeking folks are against it like you are. The system of trying to share our inheritance or natural resources is failing fast and needs to be replaced by a structure that supports production.

Should all native doctors and those who send people to go mine skull in Osun, Ogun and Ibadan, etc, have goodwill, ritual killings would have been stamped out of our society.

Make no mistake, I'm not a fan of native doctors or spiritism, but his altitude should be applauded.
The gods must have been feeling the impact of inflation which is in part caused by unwillingness to work and.make things money are meant for available.
Imagine o, a man goes to baba, baba consults the oracles, the oracles demand some items, baba gets back to the man, after 1 year, no show. Oracle asks baba about the man(client) and realize everybody wants money and don't want to work to provide things and that is why sacrifice items are beyond the pockets of clients.

The god are bound to reject the next set of money ritualist and ask them to go and work. The gods are simply pressing home what God already asked men to do.

I have to be very frank with you. I get extremely disgusted when I see comments from tribalists.

I just saw a post on front page of some Nigerians in diaspora who excelled in Canada, 5 were Yorubas, 3 Igbos and one Delta ( not sure of the tribe in Delta). As I scrolled down I saw a comment of someone boasting and saying 80% were Yorubas. My greatest worry wasn't his comment, but the over 60 likes he got. The bigotry in him and those that liked his comment couldn't even allow them calculate properly.
I went further to the second page and saw another that said the list was dominated by Igbos ( lol) , I began to wonder how Igbos dominated with just 3 names on the list.

You can see how tribalism can skew ones thought pattern and make one see A as Z.
Tribalism has so affected us that the spirit in question has taken control over the hearts of so many Christians ( ministers inclusive) and now has a seat ( - a place from which authority is exercised) there.
What a lot of people fail to realise is that there's a spirit behind tribalism in Nigeria and this spirit comes from the prince of Nigeria ( the demonic ruler over the entity known as Nigeria in the spirit realm) and the more one entertains tribalism, the more this spirit takes hold over that persons mind.
ethnicity has strong correlation to spiritism and spirit influence.
In bible, a people or nations were almost directly related to gods. gods I believe, god over lands and people, but over the land more closely than the people.
2 Chronicles 32:13, 14 & 15 each points to this.
With spiritism comes that intoxicating behaviour that defines tribalism and ethnic bigotry. It is everywhere even beyond Nairaland. Even Russia used it as excuse to invade Ukraine.
But from the beginning, it was God who gave languages to slow down the rate of humanity moving towards vain glory after the tower babel.

The most technologically advanced nations today are the ones who find a way to overcome these tribal frictions and work in peace with oneness of mind by force or by freewill.

If oil is the principal exchange commodity of the country, and the assumption is that the value of our currency is tied to the price per barrel of oil, how come the Naira plummets in value arbitrarily, and without explanation, all when the price of oil is high? What sort of economy are we operating? A country that celebrates BLACK MARKET fx rates to the detriment of her OFFICIAL fx rates cannot be taken seriously. We're still joking with our fiscal policy with the BDCs still around. Redesign notes, raid BDC offices... All will amount to nothing on the long run. When all is said and done, and the dust settles the hydra headed demon called the BDCs would again rear up their ugly head and wreak financial havoc. Jokers!
The parallel rate is good. In the face of scarcity, everyone priotizes. Same forex used to buy condom, bone-straight hair and bleaching cream is same forex used to buy medical reusables. In a situation of scarcity, one must take priority over the other. That's how parallel rate was borne. The CBN disowned some items(41) and allow them source for forex from anywhere they like. If is pocket friendly to buy Brazilian weakon with N1000/$1, go ahead.

Poliiltics when done carelessly can affect holiness or godliness of a person. When a mismanaged economy bites, all manner of atrocities begin to manifest.

Grace001:
To that agba-osi Adeshina and some mummyfied idiòts bandits are mere criminals they don’t have the attributes to be called terrorist.

Foolish people they are still waiting to see bandits hoist flag, bandits are not using the tactics of quick hoisting of flags so government won’t see them as a bigger threat.

Let them continue to pamper bandits
The need to give amnesty to them is fueling it all. When bandits impose these inflation triggering taxes on food from the northern markets, Nigerians will be forced to see reason for amnesty for a people who don't suffer the effect of oil exploration. That's the whole point about insecurity. boko haram started around when the niger delta amnesty was being conceived. They tried the religious card but it backfired.
They are now switching to weaponizing of food supply chain that starts from their own end. This was what food blockade and border blockade was all about. That too, ended like the religious violence episode because it was too obvious and amateurish. This tout/thug/bandit model model is more inline with Agbero model in southern parts of Nigeria. Lagos agberos, SS deve collectors and Onitsha hoodlums are few examples.

In 2015, insecurity in Nigeria was not as bad as we are experiencing now.

But this mannequin in Aso rock with a giraffe neck & antelope leg promised us to lead the war at the front but unfortunately, reverse is the case.

General Buhari, please call your lieutenants to order
albeit, he was talking about the war for a northern amnesty to be granted to terrorists. It was same war that inspired the food blockade episode and the simultaneous closing of borders. He is ably leading that war from the front.

https://punchng.com/bandits-killed-katsina-farmers-out-of-revenge-says-buhari/

In Katsina State, the General’s home state begging bandits for peace instead of routing them has become an awkward attribute of governance.Even the soldiers, police and other security personnel are as unsafe as the general public. It is a state of hopeless-ness that should have provoked new initiatives, but the regime appears impervious to change.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/buhari-bandits-are-taking-over-here/amp/

Even in the president backyard? Anyway, was it not the same man that stupidly told a bewildered nation that "the activity of Bandits/terrorists have surprised me"?

And what have Mr.President/APC government, the Nigerian security agencies done about all the injustice, senseless maiming, bloodshed and killings across the nation? Gov.Masari and other NW governors were negotiating with bandits just as Mr.President is even recycling BH terrorists as repented, rehabilitated and deradicalized killers.Make una continue.Karma is a bitch.
For some time now, the race to core northern amnesty has been hotting up and all what you wrote only confirms that. They have been threatening the Niger delta amnesty with termination in a bid to bring muslim terrorists onboard. For now, the poor people will pay with hunger when the affected farmers begin adding ransom to production cost of food. That will create a new avenue for food inflation given that inflation generally thrives on speculation.
It was believed, OBJ tactically looked on in order to give the Niger delta boys an air of invincibility and Buhari too has decided to do same by subtly siding with terrorists against the security outfits so far. It is all about granting muslims northerners amnesty to cancel out that of their perpetual adversary in the south.

At a time people are groaning from inflation effect and lots of speculations are around the Naira currency, this is not only an insensitive campaign from Buhari, it is a recipe for disaster.

They can overrun north ,not south.

The guns in the East and that of the Niger Delta is far more than what they wield in the North.

They can become the head of the military for all I care, worst come to worst, war will breakout which will inturn break the country. But quote me,Islamists can never turn Nigeria to an Islamic Emirate ,this is a dream they will never wake to realise
The guns in south are few and only few area-fathers rent out these guns again and again thereby giving you the impression that there are many guns.

Everybody for himself. Technically the only unifying force in Nigeria is free oil money being shared and injected into the system. Officers protect themselves at expense of citizens.
