maclatunji:mobile banking. you think they sit down in front of PC and code facemasks, testkits, ventilators or medication into existence. That's only possible in witchcraft, magic and spirit realm. We need concrete efforts and not some codes running on imported computers. |
Seun:This is Nigeria were every institution exercises autonomy to rig their own performances. The army rigs casualty figure. The education sector is open to selected award of excellence. Even the leaders are not left out in terms of performance. So I am not surprised if the NCDC decide to keep testing low in order to keep infection stats down. If they are serious about fighting it, why cant they come out with their challenges, I am sure there are generous Nigerians who will willingly assist with billions of naira. |
A brilliant piece, but do our govt have listening ears? I doubt they do. He nailed so many things: - the copy and paste nature of our lockdown that's lacking the kind of support it needs or what others are giving it. - the rainfall dependent planting season we are about to lose to lockdown thus risking hunger. - the fact that we are living hand to mouth. - the fact that only less than 5% of the populace hold about 90% of the deposited in banks. - the reality of our import dependent pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. - the reality that lockdown can only slow the initial spread rate and thus buy us time and the need to make good use of such time. So many things were touched and I recommend everyone to read this. |
That's like drinking rat poison to kill rat or smoking mosquito coil for mosquito's and malaria to die. Coronavirus also enters the blood and it is a matter time before it relocates the lungs. |
Women generally can be harsh, but certain type of news seem to have ethnic pattern to them. For example it is hard to imagine the culprit being a Fulani or Hausa or Yoruber or Urhobo or Ijaw, or even Calabar woman. On another note, I want to appeal to the govt ( all levels ) to seriously consider the effect of a poor planting season and be creatively smart about the lockdown. The bible says seedtime and harvest time shall not cease. The scriptures also says God shall open the gates of heaves ( the sunshine, rainfall ) and the earth shall yield her increase. If we allow the lockdown to affect the planting season, then I am afraid God will not be to blame. The effect of hunger is well known. for this reason I am appealing to govt to allow those hustling youths in the urban areas returning to the farm for planting season be specially considered. The govt should see them as policemen or army men and allow them perform their crucial task. |

Benevento:lol...na who go school dey fail exam. When there is no kit how will there be new cases? The man has chosen his reputation ahead of the people he governs. |
Buhari's beloved 97% capital. What else do we expect? |
The people corruption favours the most, are in charge of the law. |
It is close contest. remember how GEJ was turned into an Ijaw president. Buhari on the other hand, has been turned into a Muslim president, a northern one, a Fulani one who openned up Nigeria as a Ruga for his brethtens from as far as Timbuktu and Addis Ababa. I give the award to GEJ because he lacked the numbers and was busy appealing to the heart of northerners by doing almajiri schools. He should have done refineries, rails, and crush BH before they had chance to grow. |
This is irresponsible of the govt. Well I don't blame him. the federal might have subdued his territory. They need cow coronavirus. |
mrvitalis:NDDC looks up to oil in their backyard for funding but quess what NEDC is looking up to for funding... ND oil. Now tell me why will the banditry in NW and NC slow down when they can see what has been done in NE? |
Seun:These ate the things I expected FG to have done with aggression 2 or 3 months ago. Testkits, PPEs for medics, facemasks production lines (cos we will need many of them), sanitizers, drugs, oxygen, release of farm labourers to go plant as we are in planting season etc. Instead of these, it is politics as usual for them. Thank God some private citizens with real heart for the people are reacting. I have always known Nigeria is just a robbery in slow motion and the leaders have no real passion for positive change but self aggrandisement. |
So many possibilities exist with metaphysical powers. it is endless in reality. people erroneously try to believe these things away be brainwashing themselves or engaging delusional thought. they often back it with "for as a man thinketh, so is he" scripture. it is wrong. |
Righteousness89:The greatest power belongs to God no doubt but heirachy of powers are real also. Bible talks of principalities, power, rulers of darkness of this world. Also in OT, there were the magicians, sorceress, witches, wizard. Necromancy was practiced in 1 Samuel 28. the metaphysical is real indeed. |
Even if one has no experience, the bible backs the existence of such and i see no reason to believe otherwise. 95% of folks who claim they don't believe are only denying it. they posses and use such powers but deny it just to be one step ahead of their accusers. |
May they beat it without transferring it. |
Blame game has begun . They should go build Ethiopia, heard the wat is over. |
With the way Nigeria is, who wants to be a hero at the expense of his own life? Very few if any. |
Our leader always have self serving ideas so let's see what the decide. |
Anything that circulates air is ventilator. fan is one... lol |
MISSunderstand:They just used a program to scam you. there is no way a working computer can have 1,900 faults. |
wunmi590:We are in 2020 and your signature is still carrying 2019 prayer. That's so Nigerian of you. |
please don't lock it o |
lol...what a thread. |
zionmde:We gave to God what's God's(tithe) and to Caesar what's Caesar's(tax) so why should what God's be used to service Caesar's responsibility? Charity like these are for people like freeze |
Hand to mouth economy, you earn hundred naira in a period of time and spend same within that period. it becomes hard to save for rainy day. |
No Nigerian politician will so easily get rid of his voters or potential riggers. All na lie... |
Halfhearted call. Once the plague is over they will start calling it the pride of the north and start using it as a negotiating chip for more allocation. We all know the drill. |

Ganduje seeks financial aid as coronavirus cases rise in Kano By Murtala Adewale, Kano 22 April 2020 | 7:54 am Kano state continued to witness a steady upsurge of positive cases of COVID-19 pandemic with the latest figure standing at 73, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control. Overwhelmed by the rising cases of the virus and burden of curtailing its spread, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has solicited Federal Government financial support. The governor made the call when he received the director-general of Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu at Government House. Advertisement The NCDC boss was in Kano as part of a national tour to access the level of preparedness in the fight against the disease. Ganduje said based on population size, Kano state requires more support at this point than Lagos state, stressing already dispensed resources to curtail the burden. While describing how much the state has done so far, he mentioned the basic challenge was lack of sufficient funds and called on the federal government to assist Kano. Meanwhile, a senior medical doctor who is working under the taskforce regretted that health workers are more exposed to the virus. Other doctors lamented inadequate provision of basic amenities and facility to efficiently manage the pandemic. Already the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Kano chapter has directed doctors in the state to consider their safety first while attempting to render clinical services. |
