Christianity Etc › Re: Misrepresented Teachings: "CHRIST Was Made POOR That We Might Be RICH" by CodeTemplar: 11:29am On Apr 26, 2020
Wakeupchristian:
The treasury Judas kept did not contain spiritual riches. It contained contributions made by some donors towards Christ's ministry (Luke 8:3). That means it did not belong personally to Christ. Jesus knew that Judas was a thief and could pilfer from the treasury, yet among all the disciples, He chose him to be in charge of the treasury. What can you draw from this?

Christ did not regard the treasury as a personal property.. His attention was not on there either. He knew he could get anything he needed by His power.
You mean he could get anything yet he kept a treasury? woahhhh... that's some high level paradox there.

Thank God for them.

He was talking about oil earning ....oil earnings ...

Two bros we don't earn anything substantial from Agro n minerals

Cooperate tax n import duty are the next big earners
So you want to invalidate his argument on our poverty level? Bros I beg I no get time.

What are you even saying ...he was calculating oil earnings ....

He didn't consider the money it cost to produce the oil
Didn't consider the shares of the oil companies (40% to 45%)

Bros he was wrong ...Nigeria if she sales oil for 65 dollars can't earn 65 dollars
Yes he didn't consider those thing but don't forget the ignored earnings from agriculture and minerals and remittances will make up for those, so he was right.

That's what religious freedom actually entails. To space and freedom to call on your accepted maker to correct you or help you and these cult like rivalry we see in Nigeria.

mrvitalis:
Bros your maths is even wrong

You didn't minus the cost of production of the oil
Which is an average of $22 per barrels

Nigeria keeps only 60% of the revenue the oil company keeps the rest ...it's a joint operation

So it's (65 -22) x2300000x0.6 =59340000
His mathematics was brilliant. He made some approximations to be on the safer side that's all. You are calculating it to make our earning look smaller which is valid but don't forget we have other earning the OP ignores so he was right with his calculation to a good extent.

Politics › Re: Is Nigeria Rich Or Poor, Lets Find Out.. by CodeTemplar:
Typing....

Nigeria is one rich country that has been merged with five other laziness-induced poverty stricken countries.
The rich country is the SS.
The laziness-induced poverty stricken countries are the SW, SE, NE, NC, and the NW.

Imagine a man with 200k salary a wife and 2 children.
Now imagine another man with 200k salary but with a wife and 12 children. Nigeria has a bigger income than most African country but population that negates the effect of that huge income.
ND is the man with smaller income, the other six regions are the man with bigger income.

If the family were to war (Biafra/civil war) I am sure the bigger poorer family would have subdued the smaller richer one. And when their income is merged along with members, I am sure the bigger family will have a upper hand in the defence system(army police), in policy making, in law making, and most importantly their average income of the smaller family will reduce because of the burden of the big and lazy family.

Most times people gather to criticize something, it is because they never really examine the purpose of that thing.
Python for example was created to be fast in computation and to achieve that they traded of security.
Java was created to be a verbose and robust programming language with good web support, mobile support, embedded support and even security.
I am sure this framework was created to solve an existing challenge or set of challenges. Just find out those things and know when best to engage the framework. Those other frameworks like laravel and codeigniter are very good too but have weaknesses also.

Is your Glo sim tied to your account? If if is tied, fine, otherwise, I can't see them paying people for owning sim cards.

Good development...

On the otherhand, so this is how lucrative the flour business is? Very interesting stuff!
The amount of capital flight the covid situation has caused is unprecedented.

We need to get our acts together and become a producing nation.
Majority of what's being used are imported and even the local manufacturers rely on imported inputs to produce. It is well!

We are watching all these companies expending billions now... if they lay off their staff post-covid, we will drag them seriously. angry

What's tha business?
There are people with more lucrative businesses who aren't donating as much so let's just say the man is generous enough and not rich enough. Who would have thought the widow in bible with two mite's was giving her all at that time if not for revelation?

Seun:
1) They rely heavily on rapid testing and contact tracing. Unlike many countries, which test only people with symptoms, they test anyone who may have been exposed to the virus. If you are sick, they will test you. If you have been exposed to someone who tested positive, they will test you. If they don’t believe that have been exposed but you still want to get tested, they will collect your money and test you, and use the money to make more test kits, but if you test positive, they will return your money. Those who test positive are taken to hospitals if they are very sick or special dormitories if they are not very sick. Those not showing symptoms are advised to stay at home and they will send food and other essentials to your house and check up on you every day. They will also make you download an app that alert them if you leave your house.

The logic behind their strategy is that the people spreading the virus are the unconfirmed cases. By testing everybody who may have been exposed to the virus, you can identify almost all the people who are infected and isolate them so they can no longer spread the virus. If you can identify all the people who have the virus and isolate them, it can no longer spread.

2) They recommend the wearing of medical face-masks in public, and most South Koreans use high quality KF94 face-masks that are similar to the N95 face-masks used by doctors treating Coronavirus patients. They don’t believe that quality face-masks should be reserved for healthcare professionals. Every South Korean is allowed and encouraged to use the best medical face-masks that they can afford to protect themselves. They produce enough medical masks to protect everybody.

3) They also do other reasonable things that most countries are doing. They encourage washing of hands, physical distancing, and masks, but there is no lockdown. There is no travel ban, but all travelers must stay isolated at home for 14 days under close supervision. Large gatherings are still banned. Schools were closed but are now being reopened. Sport events will be opened, but without crowds on the stands.

South Korea was one of the first countries to be hit massively by COVID-19. At the peak, they had about 800 confirmed cases every day, but since then it has been dropping consistently, to as low as 8 cases a day. And they did it without destroying their economy. They even conducted elections very recently; it went smoothly, and we are yet to see a spike in new cases.
I would have loved the s Korea testing model but we do not have the ability to carry out so much tests. our leader are contended with waiting for free test kits and diverting it for the elite. We don't have what it takes to be south Korea. Even UK too struggled.
