I hate unrealistic directives.
An employer whose inflow has radically reduced will have no choice. instead of being serious with policy making and implementation, he is ordering the economy not to go down as though it is an animate object. |

Eg tomatoes, noodles etc. He hasn't explored a new market and made it without govt backing and monopoly You have point though. Let's just say he goes for high return ventures backed by policy makers. |

Well he is perfectly allowed to treat it as such. No work means no income and that means no labourer deserves a wage where he/she didn't labour. I don't expect Dangote to deep his hands into his personal earnings, no matter how big it may seem, to pay dormant hands. Everyone has his or her earnings just like Dangote. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Should Pastors Who Commit Adultery Be Permanently Banned From Pastoring? by CodeTemplar: 9:58am On May 01, 2020 |
Maximus69: The title "Pastor" is the problem!
In the first century all the Christians see one another as brothers, the only spiritual head is Christ! Matthew 23:8-12
So when Peter denied Jesus (something Jesus himself count as a serious sin) this same Peter continued to lead the Apostles. Even when he fumbled by letting himself to be carried away by the spirit of nepotism, Apostle Paul corrected him. In all of this, Peter remains one of the 12 Apostles!
So how do we get a balance view?
Sin is what we were born with, this means none of us is perfect except our Lord and Master (Jesus Christ).
Jesus said we should be prepared to assist one another to keep the faith alive in us. Therefore certain measures should be taken to help the brother that has been overwhelmed by the spirit of the world. But if he resists the help of God's holy spirit, then he must be disfellowshiped no matter his part in the congregation of God! Pastor only becomes an empty title when faked. How can a committee of men sit to ban a man called by God to an assignment from that assignment? Has God empowered any human committee to call and un-call his ministers? Some suggestions only appeal to our ignorant part and aren't worth all these attention. Christianity doesnt need sharia. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Pastors Who Commit Adultery Be Permanently Banned From Pastoring? by CodeTemplar: 9:54am On May 01, 2020 |
The question is "who will ban a man called by God" ?
What OP is proposing is a christian Sharia that may appeal initially to the instinct of many but is damaging in the long run and contrary to God's design. |

Hmmm.... God help us. The fire brigade approach to issues in Nigeria is largely to blame. We saw what Kovid-2020 was doing in better organized societies and nations but chose to prepare in any way. By now we should be producing masks freely, hand sanitizers, even other key PPEs and ventilators but here we are turning it into a money grabbing venture and PDP vs APC stirrer. |

The CBN man has been very effective in the anchor borrowers scheme. However his ability to influence the economy is limited because CBN has limits. For example, CBN cannot influence power supply, a key factor of production/manufacturing. He is trying but should do better. |
