gobuchinny: You are too ignorant and not business minded..do you know that business are in two folds..one the fees which brings incomes and also real estate..do you know the history of most FMCGs? its about real estate...Banks, FMCGs, industries are all into real estate..any good business man wants to own the building and also make the money while the property appreciates ;Dthese group of schools are money spinners for the Oyedepo dynasty while the real estate appreciates over time..
My families school building was bought at 5m per plot for 2 plots in 2005..now current valuation stands at 35m per plot that 10m for 2 plots to 70m OMV..
You don't understand business if you think buying a school premises is all about making the money back in form of liquid cash ..besides the money will be made back eventually over the years..
Furthermore, remember its free money for Oyedepo..monies made from donations that he never worked for..unlike my family that bought the 10m property from my father gratuity
Oyedepo doesn't need to make the money spent back because for him he has tied down his money in a fixed asset that generates currents assets while the fixed assets appreciates ...qualities of a good business man You didnt address anything I raised but instead added more speculation to your initial rumours. How can a school building appreciate? If that is the case, why don't govt schools appreciate naturally? plus the bolded is speculative and the school still remains nameless A. K. A. speculation Your brain must be liquid sir. No offense intended. |

agabusta: Buhari in his own case is trying to clean up the system.
Many tainted judges have been sent packing. Including the controversial CJN, who conveniently forgot to declare some accounts as required of a public officer. The clean up is obviously tilted in the opposition direction. Remember how OBJ's EFCC was tilted towards those who didnt support his third term maneuver? Can EFCC work for OBJ today? Stay there and be making a saint out of a dictator and religious bigot. Four years isn't forever son. Tinubu that was always shouting PIGB this, economy that, borrowing and the rest before 2015, where are his ideas today that he is close to power or the past four years? They are all gone. These men are beasts and you need to stop the character laundering you are offering them. |

gobuchinny: This is a very ignorant post..y r you acting like Oyedepo is doing Nigeria a favour? don't you know the person that benefits most from this is Oyedepo? is the school free? is the school subsidised?
This a business like any other business..i know because my family owns a school in Lagos that generates million every quarter...what is all this rubbish like we should clap that a great thing has been done..
These schools are built with tithe and offerings of the people and privatised to personal business and you are here talking like a great thing was done..should we clap for him Oga, before you shout like a man with kidney in the skull, know these: Faith Academy in Delta state was built with well over a billion Naira and it they cant recover the initial capital spent in two decade freom fees going by the population of the school and what they pay teachers alone. Be guided and do proper research before hating on people you don't know. This pattern of subsidy doesn't stop at the that particular FA alone but is being replicated in many FAs across the continent. Same pattern is present at the universities (CU and LU) also and I wonder what you stand to gain be rubbishing the efforts of a good man who didn't force himself on you like Buhari is doing. By the way, what is the name of your profit family owned school in Lagos? State it, and let's do a side by side comparison of the school with one of the Faith Academies. Let's compare the fees, facilities and staff ratio to see just how profitable school businesses are. |

asuustrike1: Yes the elections were rigged but the reality is the fact that he can't win that case. He shouldn't waste his money because those lawyers will exhaust him. You see why it good to strengthen the system overall instead going for personal gains at all cost. Atiku was one in power as the number 2 man in Nigeria but choose personal riches thinking he is untouchable. Now he needs justice and the justice system he help killed in the past is now haunting him greatly. Buhari too is there today and trying to play superman for his illiterate brethren by going after opponents instead of strengthening the system. One day Buhari wont be there again and him or his people will need the system to come to their rescue, then we will hear them cry foul. He has forgotten what he passed through in the hands of PDP. These men act exactly like they know Nigeria will never workout and it is just a game of inter-regional resource grabbing but the followers hardly see it. |

Islam, to me, is just a religion of mob action. They only start demanding for certain 'rights' whenever they are in overwhelming majority. Their values are like that of a mob or secret gang or secret occult group. They like to claim "once in, no way out or no going back". They preach in secret and dont want their doctrines questioned. They claim a non-muslim can't understand the quran and thus monopolize its interpretation for forceful dominion. They embrace violence to expand their gospel. They maintain a secret pyramid system of knowledge dissemination.
Now, what manner of true God is so helpless that he will need all these methods to rule over a people loved? |

QuotaSystem: Lol can't we see these people are hurting, just allow them .
The raw pain, frustration and bitterness of realizing again they're truly 5%ers (or less now), and their nightmare and nemesis President Buhari has been re-elected is too overwhelming for them to contain hence the mass out-pour of hatred. You cannot deal such a blow to a man and expect him not to scream in pain
The truth is they must still give 10X of that same change they're using to mock the poor to a Northern trader for their beef, tomatoes, onions etc. so they're only fooling themselves . That same Okoro man in the video will still look for his Aboki dealer who will collect his money for dollars or other FX with profit...why don't they also boycott those? Lol.
Those beggars go dey alright, abi no be Lazarus go heaven? Hehe .
Like Corrinthians said, if they truly believed Atiku/Obi were not beaten silly but were rigged out, they wouldn't be so bitter at those beggars who we should ordinarily assume also voted PDP but were also cheated. Pea brains
It is Sai Baba till 2023, then Osibanjo/El-Rufai till 2031 & we have the numbers to make it happen. Haters can jump in the Lagos lagoon

frankman365: People can talk in this country ehh. Is it the same 30k minimum wage that workers are payed that you expect them to spend 250k per annum for one student's fees. A family of four, that is 1 million!. Or are you saying their kids don't deserve education. You mentioned Germany funding education and all of a sudden you are saying fees should be hiked in Nigeria. That is inhuman. Now, check this out: it is projected that since 1999 about 250 or more billion dollars have been stolen by politicians. They steal our money send their children to UK or Us to study and you are here saying school fees should be increased. It takes two tango: the political class must sacrifice first before the followers will even consider sacrificing anything. Security votes can build at least one lecture theatre in five universities every year. We can start with that and other things will follow. Increase in fees is a no no. Who said fees should by increased? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Who Can Explain The Parable Of The 2 Sons To Me by CodeTemplar: 6:25pm On Mar 01, 2019*. Modified: 6:43pm On Mar 01, 2019 |
The parable is broad than most people understand it from my own estimation. The Father (God) had two sons, the obedient and disobedient one or the prodigal son. My focus is on the obedient one: Remember the obedient one was sad after the returning disobedient was given special treatment. Well, the obedient one served his father and didn't know his right ( my people perish for lack of knowledge ), if he knew he had access to the fat cows, and all components of the great celebratory table the returning one provoked from the father to consume, then he would have been celebrating every day the disobedient one was away, but he knew not and so complained.
Today in the world we see this scenario constantly playing out. Supposedly Christians want to go live their lives waywardly and return at advanced age to God, but the faithful servants serving all the while the erring ones were away barely knew their right and so envied even the ones away or unsaved ones or even suffered defeat.
In the spirit realm, you don't posses what you are not aware of (revelation) and that's why ignorance limits people. |

God created it good and it was man who followed the rebellious one - Satan to eat the fruit of knowledge of good and bad. HigherEd: Universities have the right to determine who comes into their varsities based on their own assessment. University like UI don't trust jamb and they've had bad experiences whenever they rely solely on JAMB. I remember reading a PDF paper some years back online where UI showed their justification for using POST UME by highlighting how high Jamb scorers didn't always perform well in their local UI POST UME. Like Nigerian govt the central is too big for those managing it and serious schools need a process to reassert what JAMB scores says. The Combination of both can be very good. |
Education › Re: Should Post UTME Still Continue by CodeTemplar: 10:39am On Mar 01, 2019*. Modified: 2:45pm On Mar 01, 2019 |
asuustrike1: You think post UTME should still continue Inspite of the improvement in Jamb? Are you implying that Jamb isn't good enough? JAMB has improved but isnt near where it should be and POST UME is the only effective means schools who want to set themselves apart can further use to achieve that at admission level. You will agree with me that most public schools are corrupt and tend to use POST UME as their corruption racket. Post UME is a two way thing. It can be good in the hands of serious schools and bad in the hands of the not so serious schools. At the end JAMB would have been best if the system was very reliable because it can provide a central and reliable means of examining all admission seeker. |

There are quite a number of angle to this.
One is a excess applicant per job.
Another is performance. An engineer with with 2.2 or Even 3rd will easily do almost any repititve bank related task like CSR or even Cashier with one week training. Some fields are more mind- bending and give graduates advantage.
Another is corruption or connection mentality. |
