You are delusional and out for blood clearly. Table layout can be created by using non table tags such as divs, span etc to create a layout and then be styled by table based CSS. Many top and modern themes still fallback to the table CSS for help so Nairaland is not backwards in anyway whatsoever. You have nothing real against it. believe me. |

P.S your god does not give or withhold money Your question here is like asking Bill Gates why he works so hard when he is has so much? He needs his money to keep flowing in big time because he has plans for big things. How will a Christian ever own a medium sized factory if he doesn't acquire wealth? As for the question of why acquire wealth when saints have it in heaven, can the one in heaven be used to do. charity on earth? Use what God gave you now. |

HardGuyHardGuy: I'm not talking about money to get shelter nor feed If you read my post well, you'll understand what I mean I even gave examples sef
So, you've not said anything meaningful here The question here is that of a JSS business studies class. If Christians don't think of acquiring (saving up) or laying wealth somewhere how are they ever going to build factories, and capital intensive ventures? can a factory be built with a months salary? One of the key strategy of the devil is the attack of the finance of the saint and that was highlighted in Mathew 13:22 where the gospel of Jesus is received but the cares of this life ( mostly money ) chokes the word. This is why the devil will always attack the finance of saints/church. |

We also need a feature to embed videos from social media sources so one doesn’t need to follow external links. Most blogs already possess the feature talk less of a forum which sources its news from blogs and news websites. ask yourself the impact of what you wrote on each page size and then multiply it by the traffic volume of NL. You get an economic answer to why Seun may not adopt these things. |

HardGuyHardGuy: Okay! It's been over a month since I logged on to nairaland and I can see that lots have happened. Well, I'm back with a question for the theists. I'll talk more on the Christian side because that's where I transitioned from.
What I want to talk about today is the book of Eccl. 12:8 which says "Vanity of vanity, says the Preacher; all is vanity". I also wanna add Matthew 6:19 and 20 which says "19: Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. 20: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal".
These passages clearly states that Christians shouldn't acquire wealth. But what I see in Christians is the opposite. They are always interested in acquiring wealth. They are so obsessed with money.
Let's take a look at their "gee ho*s." They fly in private jets, luxurious cars, big mansions, low-key live in luxury. Now, let's talk about their members, many people who live luxurious lives are Christians, CEO of different companies who are always eager to create more companies to make more money and live the "big man" lives.
What baffles me the most is that these people are not ready to help their fellow human, they only care about themselves, many don't even help their extended families. Even if they want to help people, they don't even give up to 5% of what they have to the needy.
There's even this my "hardcore Christian" female co-worker who was asking me if Lawyers earn huge salary just because a lawyer was "toasting" her. I was like, damn!
Since your god said you shouldn't acquire treasures here on earth, that they are all vanities. He has promised you riches in heaven, a land with streets of gold. Why do you guys acquire all these things.
Just leave them for we atheists that don't have riches waiting for us in heaven. You should even share the ones you have sef, I can send my account details XD XD XD
Sometimes, I even feel all these "gee hoes" are atheists who just wanna feed on the insanity of theists (confirm business, you don't even pay taxes XD XD)
What I have to say about the Muslims is that "I heard" you guys are promised 7 virgins in heaven, why not leave these Virgins to bleep here on hearth name, since we don't have 7 Virgins waiting for us in heaven XD XD XD At the bold part I stopped reading. If God says Christians shouldn't acquire wealth then what should Christians eat, wear, and use? God is talking about the virtue that answers to wealth and not wealth itself. To understand that second scripture passage, ask yourself, do the spend money in heaven? No. It is talking about your riches as a spiritual being. it means you should labour not to have reserve in the physical but have reserve in heaven ( spiritually ) and follow Jesus. Then all you need can be met. Notice I said need and not wants. |

Originakalokalo: Abraham was a Friend of God, yet he was rich.
There are rich children of God.
Riches is dangerous, yes. But for a true son of God who has been trained in humility, sacrifice and love,
Riches cannot corrupt him. Money controls a lot of people.... a child of God controls money instead.
The rich guy told Jesus that he had kept all the commandments of God.... Jesus told him to sell all his properties and give them to the poor and follow him.
He went away from Jesus sorrowful.
If Abraham can offer to use his son as a sacrifice for God,
He can as well pass the test Jesus gave to that rich guy. Abraham would sell all his properties and follow God...
Job lost all and he followed God...
It is not bad for a child of God to be rich " If the money is not his God"
The moment money becomes the God of a Christian, he is finished.
Let me drop a shocker.... God can give money to a man to punish him, while he withholds wealth from his own....
...until they are "fit " to handle it. People hardly realize these things and fall for the subtle trap of money. To the undiscerning mind, the above is like a call to avoid money but money being what answers to all things, is what the devil uses to entrap most. They erroneously assume more money is always better but to God more charity as money grows is better. Less trust in riches and more faith ( trust ) in God is better. |

okwabayi: The mystery I can’t find an answer to is how he still gets advertisers when he never leaves his bedroom. The people who use the platform normally prefer to troll discussions threads with their adverts than pay through the formal protocol. How he makes money despite these baffle the ever living senses I possess. That's simple logic now. The advertisers know the traffic NairaLand pulls and their profile ( tech savy youths ) and so know what they get in return. As for the earning of the owner just open each section page ( politics, sport, celebrities, health etc ) once a week and see the number of adverts appearing there a week or week in week out on average and then do a estimate by checking the weekly advert rate. It can still pull enough earnings to keep the owner happy and going. Nairaland is adapted for Nigerians because internet speed and cost in Africa generally and note that Africa isn't ready for a such advanced feature as some of us are demanding from Seun. |

pdp also officially started their campaign in Eneche's 100,000 capacity church auditorium, we saw the pictures. PDP tried so hard to sway all the christians to vote for them and they had these pastors to do the work for them. A lot of Yoruba people respect these men so highly and they took advamtage of that.
They had their personal interests, no qualms but they also manipulated their congregation and their large crowd of followers hence the sw became confused and splitted their votes. Anybody underrating the influence of these men is not sincere and you are not God to predict what will happen in Nigeria in the next few years Stop talking illogical talk. Why did the result among Yoruba's mirror 2015 result in Yorubaland if the Yoruba's were influenced by mega pastors? Please supply links to prove PDP flagged off their campaign in Enenche's 100,000 seat church. And instead of this illogical and speculative talk, why not supply evidence of Oyedepo and Enenche opposing Buhari. |

okwabayi: Lol at any Nairalander thinking OP is female. Who cares why the guy doesn’t want to upgrade. He bought the platform and is using it to the best of his ability. If he chooses to upgrade I believe the forum will face a complete overhaul which, honestly, he knows will inconvenience members so bad they’ll move to alternatives. Nobody dares to take risks with their source of livelihood. I don’t blame him. The current theme has its advantages and I don't blame the owner if he doesn't change it to a more modern looking one. Nairaland is a site with huge traffic and any attempt to upgrade to newer themes will significantly increase the page size which when multiplied by average monthly traffic will lead to higher bandwidth ( uplink ) cost. The site uses content from other media houses quite often and may find AdSense or the likes difficult to comply with so sticks to the in-house advert system whereby traffic figure is what matters. |

Buharifanatic: i have been quiet about this for too long time to talk
David Oyedepo
Paul Enenche
Apostle Suleiman
One thing they all have in common....
FRAUD.....
gods of men..
these men preached hate against buhari, said God told them that buhari lost, these men brain washed their members that buhari wants to islamize nigeria, these men have been using God name to lie and milk their members for years
they are the ones that caused those numbers for pdp in the west
if you want to fix Nigeria, lets begin at the church, thats where all these religious hate is coming from
apostle suleiman said its better to vote for a thief than a killer, that God told him this to tell the people
oyedepo said that buhari wants to turn nigeria to fulani colony, that its time God settled nigeria
me i'm officially done with churches in nigeria, i have my bible, i will serve my God alone, done with fake pastors and thieves Your brain must be liquid. Where did Oyedepo or Enenche directly or indirectly say we should vote Buhari out ? It is Buhari who is the man of devil masquerading as a pure man. Leah Sharibu will now likely be in captivity for another four years. Herdsmen and genocide squads will resume their carnage. all because of people like you who decided to go after those who dare speak up against insecurity. |

eyinjuege: Perhaps most private uni graduates are not better than public uni graduates, but private unis are meeting a need. The serious ones are competing favourably with the public unis which have been in existence decades before them. Public unis are heavily subsidised by govt. One of them had a proposal on the fees they would charge normally, and it definitely was more than the private unis. Education is very expensive, and even the federal govt despite the billions of dollars it generates monthly hasn't been able to maintain its universities to standard. And some people are insisting tithes and offering is enough to run these schools. Nothing good comes cheap (my personal motto). It is funny seeing a private uni grad work and pay part of the tax that is used to fund or subsidize public school grads but get nothing but hate and ridicule from the public uni grads. Most public uni grads can even graduate and decide not to work but it is harder for the private uni grads to do same because the commitment towards their education is private. |

Blinkers:

Eden Hazard is talented but grossly overrated, no thanks to English media football hype and their bandwagon fans.
Real Madrid is in a world of its own with a legacy spanning over 89 years. This isn't some mid table club in the premiership whose fame started in 2004.
He'd be lucky to make an impact there. Stop talking like a naive football fan. Chelsea were only mod table because they didnt have the kind of money Madrid had. Same thing applies for all great clubs. Show me one great club that didn't spend big in her hay days and I will accept Chelsea is mid table club. Even barca went towards relegation around 2003 before they found iniesta, xavi, and signed ronaldinho around. They is nothing like a mid table club. Give Tottenham £150m a year for the next five seasons and watch them beat real Madrid to competition. |
