Is Kano part of Nigeria?
Yes it is. It has a sharia law that forbids citizens of Nigeria within Kano from exercising their constitutional rights of belief and interpretation of these beliefs. . .
On a good day sharia should be treated like IPOB because it challenges territorial authority of the constitution by forcing everybody within its territory to obey the interpretation few nameless & politically motivated minds have given to a religious book.
Who gave these religious bigots the right to interpret for others? With that freedom of thought taken away from the populace, the people are effectively zombies.

So many funny things happening in Nigeria. And most people in support of these religious arrangement are Sahara desert nation immigrants who escaped the harsh weather condition of their infertile lands into Nigeria. We have a big challenge in this Nation?

Dear All,

Info coming out from CU campus as regards this sex allegation case, says their stand is:

1. that the accused official should just continue with his daily duties and assignments, and stop bothering about responding to anybody.

2. that the ex-student in question who started all the whole public outcry on twitter has been discredited as a liar, with his leaked voice notes and the subsequent responses from the other two ladies involved in his saga.

3. that so, the alleged publicly circulated chat screenshots are not tenable as evidences under this discredited circumstances.

4. that anyone who alleges any misconduct should come out and speak up, with concrete and reliable evidences (audio, video, etc).

5. that all the public bashing, raising dust on social media and the online petitions, amount to nothing without concrete evidences.

6. that except concrete evidences are tendered, all allegations will just appear like foolishness and stupidity before MGT board and Papa (Oyedepo).

7. that until persons are courageous enough to step out with concrete evidences, the accused has no case to answer.

Thank you.

... ... ...
So, you guys are advised to either step out with concrete evidences, or stop raising unnecessary dust in the public domain; and better go and face your personal life and businesses. ... Lol!
I strongly suspect you of being the guy involved in this expulsion saga in real life . . . Your date of joining this forum says it and your post history revolve round this issue. You also take things personal here.

Given their budget I think the admission figure is a fair figure. With federal allocation / budget of about N12-14 Billion / year and about 50,000 population [wikipedia], and a average of about 240,000/student i think the school is doing below average. It is one of the schools with the most cult free campuses though.

Blue3k:
The situation is tragic for these soldiers. How could they be running out of ammo and basic equipment. Nigeria should be making its own stuff by now. Niger spends too much cash not have blankets and other essentials.

If the millitary doesnt get the ground troops squared away the air support wont do them much good. The currupt elements in millitary need to be routed out. The NE redevelopment plan will gave to be shelved until they actually eradicate boko haram. If the government doesnt it will be like Zamfara.

Ps:

The millitary already made their response if anyone is wondering.

Sigh...
This thing could have been prevented from the very beginning.
Those(e-ipob) saying obnoxious things the soldiers are really wicked and inhumane. They don't know that boko-haram would have reached their lands if not being suppressed and constantly eliminated.

May God bless our soldiers and give them more strength; our army is indeed one of the greatest army on earth, but everyone has their failures.
Same way poverty could have been prevented from 1985.

What higherEd said is so valid. Most public school bred minds in the faculties have that we against them mentality. There used to be a hod who challenges high pass rate with the argument that all students can't pass at once but he hardly questions very high rate of failure in other courses. As proven by the registrar saga, The school is still better off using more foreign trained minds to run its various faculties.

Christianity Etc › Kano Hisbah Board Destroys 12m Bottles Of Beer by CodeTemplar(op): 1:34pm On Sep 20, 2018
The Kano State Hisbah Board confiscated over 12 million bottles of beer from importers of the commodity in the state within the last seven years.
The Board’s Commander General, Sheik Aminu Daurawa, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Thursday.
He said that the board was able to intercept the commodity in 800 operations carried out by its Enforcement unit across the 44 local government areas of the state.
“As you know, the Penal Code Amendment Law of 2004, No 4, Section 401, prohibits throughout the state manufacture, distillation, possession and disposal.
“The law also prohibits, haulage, consumption of all brand of intoxicating liquors, trade sprits and any other intoxicating substance,’’ Daurawa said.
He said the operations which were part of efforts to ensure compliance with the law, had also led to arrest of a number of vehicles used by the suspects in bringing the illegal commodity into the state.
“During the operations, we were able to intercept 48 trailers, 120 cars, 63 motorcycles, 25 tricycles and 50 jerry cans used for carrying the assorted beer,’’ Daurawa said.
The commander general said the board had so far destroyed 7.4 million bottles out of 12 million bottles of assorted beer as directed by the courts that handled the cases.
He said the cases of the remaining 4.7 million bottles of the illegal commodity were still pending at the various courts.
“So far, 140 vehicles have been returned to their owners after the payment of fines following the disposal of some cases by the courts.
“Even though some recalcitrant importers of the illegal commodity are devising new ways to beat our people, we will continue to intensify efforts to track them down.
“Even last week we intercepted no fewer than 17, 000 bottles in four trailers which will soon be taken to court for appropriate prosecution”, Daurawa said. (NAN)

HigherEd:
You are very right, plus many universities even in the West are now being plagued by insufficient funding... Examples are ystralian unis whose funding is being pulled. I heard that of Irish too is being cut. Though ours in Africa is more severe. Therefore universities everywhere must find innovative ways to generate huge funding for themselves.
Landmark is doing it and so why shouldn't taxpayers funded schools do it?
Until we learn to fuse character or moral with learning we are just deceiving ourselves. Universities should be a working sample of any society they intends to impact with minds they mold. Ours tally with our society and I am not surprised.
