Then why use them to siphon money.15,000 a day to feed one prisoner?

With that budget it should be homely....The conditions they live in produce worse criminals.
I doubt that figure.

You are still talking about CAPS when many private universities have concluded admissions and are now talking about matriculation. The earlier we decentralise this admission thing the better.
Govt will not decentralize such. Nigeria is a nation of federal character. do you know that means? Everybody must be represented fairly irrespective of their qualification.

Education › Re: House Of Rep Consider Bills For Nine New Tertiary Institutions by CodeTemplar:
HigherEd:
They keep creating public universities while education budget remains slim. This new universities are going to further shrink the existing budget for federal institutions (most likely) and also shrink Tetfund allocations(most definitely).

At this stage the Nigerian govt should leave creation of new varsities or polytechnics to private individuals and religious organizations.

What you are seeing here stems from the political side of things. Buhari's focus has been to bridge the huge hap between north and south.
This explains why after the establishment of so many institutions by last admin, Buhari is trying to just build more schools to fuflil federal character.
Education › Re: House Of Rep Consider Bills For Nine New Tertiary Institutions by CodeTemplar:

“My heart is heavy that we want to establish new universities when nothing is being done about the existing ones. The Federal Government is considering the imposition of tuition fees when most Nigerians cannot afford three meals a day, and you are talking of new universities,” the ASUU boss queried.

But Uzoma Nkem-Abonta (PDP, Abia) countered ASUU, insisting that federal character demands that all states should be entitled to a federal polytechnic and shutting some states out of it would amount to abuse of equity.

He said, “Federal character entitles every state to a polytechnic. Let us establish them first, after which the issue of funding would be addressed.”
Nkem-Abonta’s position was also shared by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TET-Fund) and the National Board for Technical Education (NABTEB), whose officials lauded the move for new tertiary institutions.
Federal character doesn't make sense. It helps everybody to have a share of resource and power but doesn't mandate every one to be competent. or productive in exchange.
This govt is more concerned about giving certain regions more representation than giving the nation quality.

Buhari is suppose to be in China eating noodles and kilichi.
I suspect the OP is an opposition agent testing the waters to see public reaction against potential Buhari attack. If true, then Buhari is not as popular as sarrki makes us believe.

if the over $300m shared to the so called poor was invested in ensuring gas supply to these stations, I think there would have been a genuine improvement in steady power supply.
If the whole $300m was shared as claimed then it could have covered as many as N100,000 to 1 million persons or

N10,000 to 10 million persons.

but where are the beneficiaries? they couldn't even reach out to up to 100,000 persons in Osun state alone and that tell u the loot is largely being re-looted.

Buhari can't support and maintain existing power plant and pipelines but is building AKK pipelines and power plants to Kano.
More sad is the fact that he is building them through a NNPC that cannot run refineries very well.
That's cascaded or multilayered form of incompetence.

Largest doesn't always translate to the best. Example is Nigeria. Largest only means there is more activities/money circulation. When u consider that the Nigerian economy supports 200 million people but SA supports less than 60 million then the quality of the economies becomes clear.

Some giant are giants because they have cancerous growth and fibroids while some big persons are perfectly health. You choose which is better.

Hmmm ... investing £70m to 100,000 jobs averages 700 Pounds or around N350,000 to a job.

Left to Buhari he will be happy to share each 350k to 70 persons as N5,000 and have them spend it in a week.

Politics › Buhari Is Healthier, Stronger Than 80% Of Nigerians – Ngige by CodeTemplar(op): 4:40pm On Sep 04, 2018
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, yesterday lashed at those who make jest of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ill health.
Speaking with newsmen in Awka, Ngige averred that Buhari is healthier and stronger than 80% of Nigerians.
“I can tell you authoritatively as a medical doctor of over three decades standing that Mr President is physically and mentally healthy. He is healthier than 80 per cent of Nigerians”, he said.

Gving reasons for his statement, Ngige opined that Buhari sits for over eight hours during their executive meetings. Whereas most of them who thought they have sat for a very long time would go for a tea break to stretch the legs. “Mr President sits on his seat continuously, drinking only water”, he said.
When asked to speak on the federal character and allegations on marginalization of the Igbo, Ngige opined, “There’s nothing that is being shared by the Buhari government that is not equitably done. Buhari has five flagship projects; Lagos-Ibadan to Ilorin Mambila Power Plants; Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Highway; Second Niger Bridge and East West roads.
“You can see how it was shared. So, how are you(Igbo) left out, why are you crying marginalisation, why are you crying wolf when there is none and it is this mentality that I’m telling you people that you have to come out from.
“So, all I’m saying in effect is that you (Igbo) must do political engineering; that’s the Igbo of the South-East and the step to take forward is to support a Buhari presidency for 2019/2023 and vote for it with all their strengths. By so doing, they will not be left out in the power-sharing that will come thereafter like was done at this period.”

The greatest form of mental slavery is being so lazy to create wealth and expecting other to spend their on you like you adding any real value to their life.
Stay there and be blogging hateful stuffs like it will take you any where. The catholics are the richest church around but have super expensive schools also.
They know that in order to attract the best brains in the school must be open to both members and non-members of catholic so they charge well. I wonder if pastor Chris is also holding your hand.

BTW, advanced nations today where more religious during their own industrial revolution.

The rest article:

This brings us to the question of who gifted Pastor Chris Oyakhilome who already owns a private jet another one?
The Jet was given by the Loveworld Music and Art group , an arm of the Believers Loveworld Ministry (aka Christ Embassy) trained by him to produce gospel tunes. His gift was presented to him at the Loveworld Convocation Arena (LCA) to close the week-long International Pastors and Partners Conference (IPPC) held on the 19th of November, 2017 in Lagos, Nigeria. It is worthy to note that Pastor Chris is one of the richest Pastors in Africa.
Notable members of the group are Sinach, Evang Kathy Woghiren, Buchi, Frank Edward, Joseph Omo Ebhodaghe (Joe Praise), Eben, Ada Ehi Moses, Martin Phyke, Peter Tobe, Viwe Nikita, Samsung, Da Flame, Pee Yu. Obi Shine, Victor Ike, Sophia, Chris Shalom, T-Sharp, Sharon CSO, Deacon Raph, Isaiah, Eli J, Iyke Onka, Destine Destined Destiny and a whole lot more.
This happened in Nigeria the worlds’ poverty capital. Africa really does has a long way to go, the people (Africans) need to start thinking logically, they need to stop ascribing everything to God and start asking critical questions about the fundamental presuppositions of religion. Only then can we move forward as a continent.
