Foreign Affairs › Re: Califonia Hits $2.7T GDP And Overtakes Britain As Fifth Largest Economy by CodeTemplar(op):
Development isn't by sharing available funds to win people over but by inspiring productivity and making people work productively.
I wish our leaders will see this and stop playing inter-regional domination politics with our lives.

At the rate Nigeria is growing in population alone any wealth acquired by even the artificial regional billionaires like Dangote wont be able to correct the damage sustained nationally on their road to those riches.

Nigeria is heading speedily for the 350 million population mark and it will be a painful thing to see that in all our years of easy money we didnt position the populace to be overall contributors to the system but burden who feel entitled to handouts and welfare support.

Imagine a case where instead of 200 million people contributing N5,000 each to the economy, the economy is the one trying to keep up with distribution of that amount to those people. Now imagine a situation where there is no free and easy oil money in addition to the above.

California has equipped people to be contributors and only do welfare for the needy and not the lazy or the greedy with a negligible fraction of their wealth.

California's economy has overtaken that of the United Kingdom to become the world's fifth largest, according to new federal data made public on Friday.
The Golden State's gross domestic product rose by $127 billion from 2016 to 2017, surpassing $2.7 trillion, driven by strong productivity.
Meanwhile, the UK's economic output slightly shrunk over that time when measured in U.S. dollars to reach $2.625 trillion, due in part to exchange rate fluctuations

Morinho's tactic worked but the united team didn't take their chances and spurs did just that to great advantage.

You havent answered my questions but launched into rants. Na so una dey take fail exam. Does he educate people in his schools free? Even of it is 1 kobo he charges he still collects money for services rendered. Im not interested on the quality of education or what they study... or which is better between Covenant or OAU. I asked a simple questiin you are giving me epistles and in your rants you have answered me. Yes they charge money for services. Have a nice day
He gives scholarship to those he can and allows extra slots for those who can afford the set standard school fees. That doesnt mean he makes profit. So to your question, yes he runs it as even a subsidized venture and he subsidizes it more than FG does UI or OAU.

Really? Hateful? I asked you a qurstion you didnt answer you are here asking me questions and trying to throw red herrings. He has every right to own businesses but lying and saying a money making venture is NOT a money making venture is what puzzles me. You are defending the man saying the school is not a money making venture then what do you call a body (in this case an institution) in which people PAY to access services ? Will that not be classified as a money making venture? Or is the education free?
Stop speculating. He owns no profit making schools. Covenant was charging 250k when FG was spending over 400k on biological science student. Now if Oyedepo was making profit from Covenant Uni he wouldn't be able to provide far better services than UI and OAU. You need to go to Covenant Uni and see things for yourself before talking ignorantly here. Get relevant fact and make logical deductions before talking more trash.

Operative word being resources. The universities and schools in question require resources just like a charity does, then to say they cannot be charities because of resources is a bad argument.

Charities are run with resource that have been wholly volunteered.

How, because of what he said?
No. Example is the fact that Prof Okebukola of NUC once attested to the fact that it takes over N400,000 to train a biological science grad in UI per year in 2006, Now Covenant Uni was charging N250,000 that time and u & I know the story of obtains in UI versus Covenant Uni.
I know this for real. People just look at the man from afar and conclude he is running a business without bothering to ask important questions.

Papa....

What of Covenant university the most expensive University in Nigeria. Is it charity home.

Papa knows money doesn’t answer prayer but wisdom.

I admire ur wisdom sir.
May hearsay not mislead you into fire.

In 2006, NUC Prof Okebukola of NUC put the cost training one student of UI, Microbiology at N400,000. Now Covenant Uni was charging N250,000 then but had far better learning conditions and equipments so I know Covenant isn't a immediate profit oriented venture.

Also if if was a business as you said, the schools won't be investing billions in science faculties when they can admit many more students into faculties with far lesser expenditure.

FYI, Covenant isn't the most expensive or even the in the first 4 most expensive but ranks best in facility. That tell you something about the profitability of the school.

Here's how you acquire financial success. You will notice prayer is not in the list.

1. knowledge.

2. hard work.

3. Perseverance.

4. Frugality.

5. Passion.
What u call knowledge is most times wisdom inspired by God and has been relayed to others either through education or books or learning.

There is an indirect connection. Ask for wisdom in prayers and it shall be given unto you.

Some Financial gurus and renowned scientists are core atheists. so what are you saying?
The above is only in support that financial prosperity doesn't answer to prayers directly. It answers to result oriented effort mostly. God can aid u with wisdom to get things done or even showing you what to do differently from others to stand out but He doesnt meet needs by magical provision.
