I have also chosen the camera points. Do I need to lay the pipes from all my camera positions to the control room? I want to use wired cameras not IP.

and before we used to have like 2 types but its different now various type of length that make it confusing

20mm is 2700/3200 depending on the area

and the above is for regular lenght

also before you buy make sure your electrician accompany you to be sure the pipes are bendable to avoid wastage

so who is correct btw these 2 gentlemen, has anyone tried this parapet approach?. the conventional method has always being coming from the ground up, and if your tank is at least 10ft above the parapet, you would have good pressure everywhere. from my lil understanding of physics/hydraulics, this ground/conventional method will deliver more pressure than the high/parapet method..

As for me, I piped down bfor going up not because of pressure issues but for ease of maintenance.

Don't connect the water supply through the parapet...this will not increase water pressure rather it will decrease it.
There will be no enough head.The best solution is to use weight of the water from d water tank to drive pressure.....as the water descends from the tank it will gain pressure to push up.

It will work perfectly except for ease of maintenance. You will be climbing the stanchion anytime you want to cut off supply to the upper floor.

Hello All, please I need your advise and counsel on the plumbing work below. The plumber advised we connect the water pipe through the parapet because of better water pressure and because the Stanchion would be placed very close to the building, hence the pipe connecting the water tank to the first floor won’t be noticeable. While the water supplying the first floor passes through the parapet, the one for the ground flow will be connected to the building underground. Please I need your advise if this is ok or otherwise. Thanks!

When you are forming the walls on the German floor, use waterproof cement in your mortar.

Please I told my Engineer to put DPM in our DPC but unfortunately we got to site today and found out he didn't put it. He said houses around do have issues with moisture that DPC is good enough.

He didn't put nylon and he has finished the casting of the DPC/German floor.

Is there a way to still apply the DPM/Nylon before we continue.

I have been following your threads for a long time. While decking, you don't do that temporary ramp used to carry the concrete up. I guess that saves some cost. But how do your workers climb up and down before and during the casting work?

This is what I am doing in abuja: when I started, I contacted four suppliers to deliver "12 tyre" truck load of sand at the prevailing market price. I then zoomed on the supplier that gave me the largest quantity on ground. I have been using her without any magomago. Even when she changed trucks, the latest was never below the previous quantity.
I don't think I can ever tell a supplier to give me x tons of sand or granite.

This can easily be verified. Can somebody fill two paint buckets or any equal containers, one with sand and another with granite, and weigh them on a scale?

Size is 5.6m x 2.3m x 1.5m = 19.32cbm
Sand density is 1.6
Granite density is 2.4 but scale(weight bridge) proof it wrong hence it is calculated to be 1.3-1.4

In tons is cbm x density=tons

Sand sold @ sand field is actually in cbm not ton, i hv proof it many times without number..

*Some Chinese bucket is not up to 19.32cbm, just measure LxBxH.

My brother, too much sense no go kill you. That was what came to my mind. I was in a guest house in PH and that beautiful expensive tile was only done on the wet side of the kitchen. The whole kitchen was painted in an immaculate shiny and beautiful white paint.

Same with the bathroom. Only the bath area (cubicle) and wash hand basin had these beautiful Spanish carrara tiles. You don't need to tile the whole wall. It is common in Nigeria. Check out houzz website, you hardly see tiles on the whole kitchen.

Men, I will use that tile for my area but just in a small wet place. The other places will be painted. That's why I smooth-plastered my kitchen and bathroom so that I would have option painting most part. I am not going to tile the whole space.

If you are building your house to live in yourself, you can tile only wet areas.
But if u are building for renting, oga, just tile every where else u will use all the rent the tenant paid to carry out renovation after he/she has gone. Some tenants are pigs in human shape.
