It's already being used in Nigeria, including by government parastals, since God-knows-when. Highly unethical, and responsible business people shouldn't adopt it.

This is why it's good to first confirm things these days before going to any place or you have an alternative plan.

I decided to put this here, it's been used by some hotels this pandemic I don't, I believe it might be useful to me in future or to any Nigerian entrepreneur in some way.

In the UK almost everything is online and automated, u can use your Google map to locate almost anywhere and even have a 3d view. You can use same Google map to locate bus stations and arrival time of buses at the stations.

You can also use same Google map to locate hotels and their prices, as a student or tourist in the UK after using ur map to locate hotels u type price and all the hotel prices show up, it's natural for u to choose the cheaper option to save money.
I discovered a marketing strategy whereby the hotels put up a smaller price on google map to attract u then after attracting u, u paying for an Uber for ur location to the hotel, after sending off your Uber the price they tell u and the price u saw online doesn't correspond but it's already late as u are already in the hotel so I have no choice than to lodge at the price you are told.

This is an unethical practice but the business strategy is worth an entrepreneurs attention.
