SportsRe: NFF To Set Up A Scouting Unit For Foreign Born Players by collynzo2(m): 12:18pm On Sep 30, 2013
Okija_juju: All this one na to waste scare resources..

A foreign born Nigerian Player came home for trials with his Mother and the Boy was schemed out due to corruption. And we know that he was good because immediately we rejected him, the United States Youth Team signed him up..

So FVCK NFF.. angry
He was schemed out due to his mother's corruption because they had a selected team and were in closed camping already, she was trying to influence her son's selection. If it was a Nigerian based parent that did the same, will you be saying the same thing? You'll be the first to shout favoritism, nepotism and those other big words.

This is an absloutely useless idea, why not invest your time and effort in developing the millions of aspiring young footballers here in Nigeria. They get to improve our national team and also better their lives and that of the their family.

PoliticsRe: 42 Dead, 100 Missing As Boat Capsized In River Niger by collynzo2(m): 4:51pm On Sep 29, 2013
Afam4eva: The point is that, people should learn how to swim before getting on a boat before they can start thinking of how far they can swim. I'm sure a lot of people that died on that boat would have wished for at least a swimming talent so that they can fight for their life and not be helpless in such a situation.
Life jacket is the answer. How are you sure they didn't swim as far as they could? Aside having the swimming skills, you'll need to to have the srength of a superman to last the distance, except the boat capsized very close to the shore which isn't too likely.
PoliticsRe: 42 Dead, 100 Missing As Boat Capsized In River Niger by collynzo2(m): 4:38pm On Sep 29, 2013
Afam4eva: This is not the Atlantic ocean that we're talking abut. This is a river that's not soo wide. At least know how to swim first and then think of how far you can swim.
I can assure you that most of them are very good swimmers. River Niger is not too wide? I've travelled on both canoe and ferry on River Niger, the same part where this accident happened, there are parts of the river you can be in and you wouldn't even be able to see where the river ends on either side. Don't say whay you don't know.

Afam4eva: I always wonder if these people that their boats gets capsized don't know how to swim. How do you enter a boat or canoe without knowing how to swim.
I'll give you the same reply I gave speedyboi.
so once you can swim, you must be able to survive no matter the part of the
river where your boat capsized? How many
minutes / hours can you swim without getting
tired? How many meters can you cover while
swimming?

speedyboi: So obviously they couldn't swim and they planned their death by riding on a boat without using life jackets.

What stupidity will lead these Nigerians into, only God can tell.
so once you can swim, you must be able to survive no matter the part of the river where your boat capsized? How many minutes / hours can you swim without getting tired? How many meters can you cover while swimming? Regarding the life jackets, poverty is the cause.

Deuteronomy 14:24-26 New International Version (NIV) 24 But if that place is too distant and you have been blessed by the LORD your God and cannot carry your tithe (because the place where the LORD will choose to put his Name is so far away), 25 then exchange your tithe for money, and take the money
with you and go to the place the LORD your God will choose. 26 Use the monry to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink, or anything you wish. Then you and your household shall eat there in the presence of the LORD your God and rejoice

In as much as I detest the dictatorial tendencies of moderators here, I have to point out that the delete feature on Facebook people have referred to isn't actually what they think it is. Your database remains with facebook even after deleting and all you need to do to reactivate it is to login, what difference does that make? If all you need to do to reactivate your facebook account it to Login, why not just logout and forget it?
.
My point is this, if you don't have the discipline to log out of your account and forget it, deleting the account wouldn't make a difference because all you need do is login and the account is reactivated. That is assuming the facebook model most people have referred to is to be adopted.

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has today decided to suspend the Tahitian international footballer Vincent Simon, who had been provisionally suspended in July for an anti-doping rule violation following a doping control conducted after the FIFA Confederations Cup match played in Recife, Brazil on 23 June. The player has been declared ineligible for a period of
6 months after testing positive for tuaminoheptane, a substance included on WADA’s 2013 Prohibited List. By testing positive for a prohibited substance, the player has violated article 6 of the FIFA Anti-Doping
Regulations and article 63 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code. The suspension period will last until 7 February 2014, the provisional suspension imposed on the player by the chairman of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee having been taken into consideration. This suspension covers all types of match, including domestic, international, friendly and official fixtures.
