No religious person would take it lightly with you. it's animals that can do such.

The thieves that are killed rarely in the North are those that steal bikes. And it's because they always kill the bike riders to carry their bike

I grew up in Zaria. In my whole life I have never heard someone hand was cut off. Not even in Zaria but in the entire North.

One of the greatest past time in Nigeria is blame game. We always want to blame something for our problems, especially things we don't understand, things we despise and whatever our clique for the moment swings towards for the blame game.

If the North is that bad as you are trying to paint it, why haven't you gone back to your homelandgrin

Hi.

Please are you an Hausa person?

Art, Graphics & Video / Video Editors In Lagos Come In Abeg by Comanche(f): 4:32pm On Sep 25, 2019
My sibling wants to learn video editing, and I need recommendation on the best video editing training centre (one on one) in Lagos.

I have researched and seen about 8 options on nairaland, but since this isn't my niche I can't really tell which one would provide the best value. I even saw one dude's thread that I liked but he only offers 4 days training for 30k. And really, I don't see how a newbie can learn such a skill properly in just 4 days.

Or maybe I'm wrong?

Please let me hear your recommendations.

I just saw your site. Do you really think a beginner can learn video editing in 2 weekends (4 days)?

Following OP. Thanks for this.

May I suggest that you don't update the main post, but create a new one? That way, it is easier to follow the sequence of your new posts.

Think about it again, one has to go through all that and pretend to be talking on the phone before they are left alone? No, this aggressive attitude should lead to something drastic then maybe they will learn. I am hoping one day, a group of hot headed army or mopols will storm the market and a molested lady will point out her molesters and they will be flogged and beaten to a pulp, then maybe something will change. Don't get me wrong i am not mean spirited but i hate the fact that a lady will tell those he goats over and over and over and overrrrr again that they should just leave her alone and they will refuse to listen. I have a sister that hates going to the market because of that. Yes, i have been to Katangua, loong ago, cant rem my experience.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they're right, but before the drastic event occurs, what are we to do?

We just have to make the best of our situations.

And besides, they target males also - not just females. However females are more easier targets so they tend to latch on for longer.

Comanche, i disagree with you. The grip is firm and if you scream leave me alone they will still refuse or they will start insulting and body shaming you. Most ladies just do not want to be touched. It's called "personal space" and everybody is entitled to their personal space.

Yeah, personal space is important.

However in situations like that, having an aggressive approach wouldn't really be helpful.

One just has to look for a better way of handling them.

Try the tip I gave in my post. It really does help.

BTW, have you ever been to Katangua market?

That's one is a different level again. Hehe cheesy

WOW. Nice one jare.

I think they harass both genders though, mostly Ibos though (not a tribal slur). In most Lagos markets, at Apapa, and the notorious Oshodi. cheesy

Its just their style and its a consequence of stiff competition.

I dont think she needed to resort to slapping though. Some women are just living with intense and deep pain and hatred for men and they use any slight advantage to do what is unnecessary.

Yeah, I agree with. smiley

I was still there last week.

They don't really touch inappropriately, they just keep pestering you to come with them.

The best evading technique I use Is to fake a phone call. That way when they keep talking to you, you keep talking to your phone. Then occasional drop a 'guy I dey on top call na' with an exasperated look.

Works like a charm all the time.

Health / Re: My Head Is Getting Bald And It Is Making Me Feel Depressed, pls Help! by Comanche(f): 5:50am On Aug 22, 2019
Olumyyde:
Brotherly, I advise u just enjoy yourself. I used to feel my head was too long at the back, used to feel less of myself then as girls in secondary school would make jests at my "long head". With time I became confident n barbed punk that would make the shape of my head show well. The same me started getting compliments n admiration from ladies. So, just go on skin cut n walk majestically with pride n gratitude to GOD for making u so cute. Cheers man!

You know, you remind me of Demola - my primary school classmate. Demola was just like you, he had a super flat and long head (from behind) that was just so sweet and tempting to slap from behind (even if you had a good heart). As kids would be kids, we all made fun of him and called him 'Yam head' while sweetly tapping his head from behind.

Fast forward..it's ten years later and I happened to see this eye candy with beards, full eyebrows and glorious hair (three things that makes every guy look so good like they've got natural make up) waving at me from across the road. I was a bit confused and thought it was probably one of the other people standing by the roadside with me, until this hunk crossed the road and started walking towards me with a smile.

Alas! It was Demola!

See, on a normal day if I had seen him first, I'd have hidden and watched him unnoticed from a vantage position (I can be weird like that). But he spotted me first and their was no hiding spot. We exchanged pleasantries...said all the normal stuffs...but all through the conversation, I couldn't even make eye contact partly from shame from what I'd done and partly because he looked so good.

So OP, I'd leave you with the words of Tyrion Lannister " Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like an armor and it can never be used to hurt you".

I don't know if this is a thing for others, but I have this friend that completely zones out when she's on her phone....

You could be asking her something and all you get is silence while she gives 100 percent concentration to the screen

And the annoying thing is she's most likely on Whatsapp angry

Most often, I'd wait patiently for her to reply maybe some 10 minutes later....but this morning....no time.....I just walked out of the room

I was in SS2 then, and had a debate competition I was preparing for..

I didn't have a phone then, had to beg a friend to bring her phone - Asha 200 (It was all the rave then grin ) for me to use in school....

My research brought me to nairaland......

I saw some making sense points that I used to pepper my argument.....

Those were the good old days of nairaland......

I was like what kind of gold mine is this shocked

Then I kept mining and mining....begging my friend to come with her phone......

Then until I got my a browsing phone 2 years later......

It's been a mining bliss since then...... cheesy

Isn't it funny how death can make someone very popular overnight?

Vanity upon Vanity, we strive to achieve better things in life only to end up in a six feet long grave.

Life, it ain't fair!!!

You can take a minute to reminisce on your life, one day we are all going to die.

R.I.P to the fallen soldier!

RESPECT!

No, death didn't make him popular over night.

He was a popular fellow on his own

He has always been popular because of his philanthropy and sarcasm.

I'm pretty sure some nairalanders has passed away in the past, and none has been eulogised as much as this.
