@op nice one. especially d part where u talked abt sef esteem. I was sitting in front of a cobblers shop one evening, one tinted bus with a Chinese man inside, who just looked out from one corner and was waving outside. you know this type of condescending waving like we ar supposed to be happy, jumping up and waving back. I felt like crying. I went back home feeling too bad. like is dat where we ar already, dat a chinko is forming like dis in my back yard. |

Stanweezy: My friend since all certificates carried the same year, month and day don't panic, my age on WAEC was reduced by a year but month and date are correct, I have to adopt what I saw and now all my credentials carry the new age. its all gud. thanks |
Education › Re: Please Help! I Need Advice With My Certificates. by complexBoss12(op): 9:19am On Apr 29, 2020 |
Frenchkiss564: You don't have to panic dear friend. The law looks at the intent and not the form. Since the years and names in all your certificates are uniform there is no cause for alarm. Duri's case is different, he has four different names on four different certificates. That's a prima facie evidence of fraud.
Yours is an irregularity that can be corrected with a mere affidavit. Just make sure you choose one date and adhere to it in your coming certificate. u sound so confident. thanks |

Stephenomozzy: If your Waec carries October and Degree carries October, just adopt October na.
Unless maybe you already have an International Passport carrying 10th of February, or any other very important document that carries February , I'd advise you just adopt 10th October, at least as your LEGAL MONTH OF BIRTH, since it's still the same year anyways.
You can't change it on your WAEC nor on your Degree cert (If these are the two most important documents right now) ....then my Opinion, maybe nature wants you to be born in the same month Nigeria gained independence (at least legally).
Meanwhile, those who were not issued certificate at birth, I think you can get one with the National Population Commission or so. Go to a general hospital and ask where they do birth registration exactly the problem, sorry I forgot. I av my international passport, with my original date of birth |

I greet u all.
I have had this problem for sometime now, though I intend to do something abt it but I don't know exactly what to do, it only occurred to me yesterday to put out here so as to get more suggestions.
straight to the problem!
when I collected my WAEC certificate, my date of birth was wrong, I was born on 10th Feb, but it carried 10th October, the year is correct though.
my mum was first to notice and I could remember that she tried to do something abt it, bt her efforts bore no fruits.
secondly, I am the only person in my house who was not born in a hospital. according to mum, my birth was not expected till the next week, but I came suddenly. long story short, I av no birth certificate.
fast forward to university, during my registration I was made to bring an affidavit which validated my certificate and my age (recommendations). supposedly done by father, we had to use the 10th Oct that is on WAEC cert because we had choice.
Right now i am serving (core member), my degree cert carries this same 10th Oct that is not my month of birth.
So pls, all I seek is advice, I got scared when Bayelsa governor Lyon was sacked based his deputy cert issue.
I want to know how dis will affect me and how to change the date if possible. because now every official thing about me now carries this new date and it sucks.
advice, suggestions, contributions
modes I need your help pls! |

ignis: Shame to Nigeria. Our leaders should bury their faces in shame now. We are blessed with wealth and enough mineral resources more than every African counties.
Nigeria have the highest number of professors, universities, graduates and population in Africa.
We remain Giant of Africa in the book, with nothing to show for it.
I am not surprised that we are where we are, a man that did not pass common WAEC is the president presiding over professors, doctors and technocrats in different fields.
The president that claim to be an army general cannot even assure security or win the fight against insurgency.
I weep for this country.
People are dying massively in Kano and our leaders are keeping a deaf here and handling it with kids glove. As we speak there is no COVID-19 testing center in kano - a state with average population of 15 million people.
In my next world, I won't dare to pass through Nigeria. I am in Kano Sir, wot u guys read is grossly exaggerated |

I read in one of #AbbaKyari trends here, one nigga was suggesting Buhari appointed Kyari because he was "anti-spotlight" and he took responsibility for the falls of the government.
Firstly I would like to point out that Buhari is unaware of his own government and is in fact taking the falls for the actions of Kyari and Daura who are actually d vice president and president respectively.
secondly, u see all these people that behave like they don't like attention, dats actually all they crave. Robert Greene suggested in 48 laws of power that those who claim to hate fame, want the book they write against it to carry their name, and hopes to become famous for not liking fame. |

His regime has raised the political consciousness to a level never seen before in Nigeria.

Education › What Was Your Craziest Answer To A Question In School? by complexBoss12(op): 1:56pm On Feb 07, 2020 |
When I wrote my entrance exams into secondary school, one of the questions in English was, what is the opposite of 'forward" Hmmm I scratch head tire, I didn't know it.
Then the spirit told me that during the morning assembling before class, while marching into the class, the commander will say FOORWAAARD MARCH, if they want us to stop, they will say ATTEEENTION, naso guy man write attention o, as the d opposite of forward.
The supervisor came around and started laughing at me, she ended up telling me the answer.
The second was during our MOCK exams in primary school, I didn't do primary 6, I jumped the class, so I had to write the MOCK with primary 6 pupils. during the CRK exam, we were asked "what is temptation?"
I didnt have the slightest idea since I never came across it (I assumed it was in primary 6 curriculum) so I asked the primary 6 boy sitting next to me.
Nigger was like 'Onwunwa?' (temptation in Igbo) "kedu nke bu iju mmadu gini bu Onwunwa?" (how you go come dey ask person wetin be temptation?) "onwunwa bu Onwunwa na"(temptation is temptation period)
and that was how we wrote it, temptation is temptation! |
Nairaland General › Re: What's Your Most Embarrassing Moment In Public? by complexBoss12: 1:26pm On Feb 07, 2020 |
donstan18: I've got many, but I'll tell one.
During my 100lvl registration then in school. Any graduate or student can relate how stressful, tiring and crowded it use to be doing registrations.
It was so sunny that very day with crowd of freshers everywhere, i got tired at some point and decided to get some rest under a tree. Unbuttoned the first two buttons of my long sleeve shirt for air while getting some rest
Some minutes later, a very big yellow-headed lizard fell from the tree and found its way inside my singlet[Singlet was tucked in my jeans], I screamed so high and got the attention of 99% of students there, while trying to make way for lizard by pulling my singlet from my jean, I ended up opening another way for the lizard to jump inside my boxer. At that moment, I shouted and nervously got confused that I couldn't differentiate my prick from the lizard in my boxer because both of them were dangling and dancing around as I was screaming and rehearsing makossa dance in public, jumping around the tree shouting and behaving like a mad man. People couldn't help because they don't know how to, rather, some were laughing and shouting in amusement.
As God had it, i successfully dragged the lizard out, it jumped out, nodded its head and was there looking at me like a fool instead of running, out of anger of embarrassment, I chased the lizard with my tattered clothes and ended up falling down while the lizard escaped. People were laughing as I was, just so FVCKING EMBARRASSED and PISSED that I was so ashamed to even stand and clean my cloth.
Fortunately, two ladies from the crowd stepped forward, helped me picked my scattered files and cleaned my clothes[Thou they were smiling and laughing while helping], and I had to laugh too in shame.
Nna eh! I just jejely gather morale waka comot, find okada begin dey go my lodge
Registration no be by force!! . u just made my day |
