If your baby is healthy, no need to give drug. If there will be need for him to take drug, Dr would have placed him on it.

One week is not too late for cord to fall off. Some take 2-3 weeks, it depends on how thick it is, just make sure you are cleaning it 2hrs interval/as u were taught at antenatal. Don't give room for infection as I will advice you to do the cleaning yourself.

@stadora sorry about d wahala d dry ogi gave u but instead of throwing it away u should have used it as ogi for yourself or even "swallow" for soup or if u r d adventurous type n u bake u might have tried to incorporate it into u baking b seen how it turns out.

Like me, when I first prepared rice mill I didn't get it, hubby ate it like that but I just said let me prepare it the same way I prepare semo and it came out well. Same thing when I made it like cereal for my baby, very smooth.

"body of your email should be application letter" is not true, in Microsoft word it said, I am not sure there is way you can type body of email with Msword unless you want copy and paste which is no longer Msword. Type with a computer and you can send it with any smart phone as attachment, I actually used a Java phone to send mine. I had a feeling the box will be full and I didn't have data on my smart phone, which is what has happened.

On point, u r very correct. I used my Phone and no hitch till now, going to 3weeks. Though the first time was not successful.

I only attached my Cv (which is already in MS Word) and my cover letter (application letter after being formatted) as the body of the mail before sending using a computer.

This is exactly what I did after the initial rebound of the mail when I used email app in smart phone to send the email.
I believe that those having this issues of failed delivery should try sending it using a system if they previous ones sent was through the phone.

you r very wrong @d bolded, what it means is that both should be in MsWord format then send via the e-mail add provided.

I tried d method it later came out thick and pap like.

But d ish abt it is dat it wasnt gud 4 my lo, because as soon as d tin dy enter his mouth, na so he dy poo d tin dy comot. I had 2 stop feedin him n dscad d remainin.

Gues i ll hav to go bak 2 normal pap.

lolz....I gues we are on dsame boat. I tot dat by now vigilante would have reduced but rather it's increased.
I only get to slip around his 1st round of slip. as soon as he wakes up in d next 1 or 2 hrs, i bf him back 2 slip, but as 4 me, slip is off my eyes til day break.
I stil await d day he ll slip truout a whole night without waking up.

I use d dry powdered pap but not made by me... I buy already made.. And wen I prepare for my son, it cums out like normal pap... Place a saucepan wt lil water n allow to boil, mix d powdered pap with water in a bowl, add to d boiling water, reduce heat and kip stirring nd voila ur pap is ready ...

Even dried starch is added to some. I guess there is starch inside custard self, not sure sha.

That Ghana food that is eaten with pepper sauce and fried fish That's if it's corn you milled. i then wonder what millet that hardly thicken when sieved will turn out like with all the chaff left in. Success stories please share with us how you did it.

Ma, u can sieve it if u don't want the chaff inside. Use that sieve they use in sieving Elubo (amala).

There is no powdered mill that I can't prepare as long as it's not watery from onset. Even custard can be watery when not prepared well, likewise the wet/watered pap.

After milling. I tried preparing it yestday like normal pap, but it was watery, I tried boilin it, BT it didn't thicken. I had 2 pour it away n bot anoda pap.

U prepare like custard, don't let it be watery when u make it into paste, meanwhile have u ever prepared wheat mill like custard or semo like before, if yes it is d same process u follow. Any grain made Into powder form must always come out like pap/custard when prepared

Note: The paste should not be watery, it should b a bit thickened.

If you are a woman who needs her belly warmed up and softened, don’t overlook the hot water compress; it works. Or you could use a hot water bag. (Please don’t get burned using very hot water. Use water that is more hot than warm but not too hot).

After you compress for about 20-30 minutes with a damp cloth (make sure you touch everywhere you are not comfortable with), then you can wrap up in your Abdominal Binder or postpartum belt for the next few hours in the day or overnight. You would probably need three rounds of hot water so that as one starts to cool off, you replace it. You would definitely see results whether it has only been a few weeks since your baby or even up to 5 years after your last baby.

Another way to get rid of postpartum belly fat is the traditional way we back our children. This is the secret of the village woman. She has no abdominal binder or postpartum belt. She doesn’t even know what these are. But she backs her baby every time to do her chores. That baby would be tied to her back for the next few months or so. But you see, her tying her baby on the back and tightly tying the front part of her belly to make sure the baby is firm enough is another compression opportunity we overlook.

But if you are a career woman or a business woman, get a post-partum belt or binder, but also try to tie your baby in the back if you can. It helps compress your tummy and also helps you and baby bond too. And when tying, try to tie correctly. After the top wrapper around your breast, also have another one that focuses on your belly too…in all, you would need at least two pieces of clothes.

So mothers, recently I decided to try Pampers diapers and I had a horrendous experience. I checked online and I saw I was not the only one having the same issues. It is a very common issue. But no-one was doing anything about it and when I complained, it was Pampers International that was replying, Pampers Nigeria couldn't be bothered but made sure Instagram was flooded with pics of Tiwa Savage and her son (even when someone tweeted the issue at her, no response).

I spoke to a friend and she told me that we should band and do something. She always says that there are laws in Nigeria but nobody bothers to make anyone accountable so everyone breaks it.

Why should we be giving a company our money when they are producing poor substandard goods? Why are we paying for vaccines that affect us more (in the U.S. they pump treated water and give Rotavirus free, in Nigeria we don't get treated water and pay for Rotavirus. All vaccines are from government sold to private). We accept so much nonsense and just manage and adjust ourselves. And suffer for it and yet be complaining.

There's something known as a Class Action suit. A group of people can sue a company to change their regulations or products. In Nigeria, it has happened (I believe MyPikin Teething Powder was a case because babies died) and I know Golden Morn (Nestle) came specifically to Nairaland to announce that Golden Morn wasn't infant cereal (avoiding a lawsuit). People have sued in this Nigeria and won. People have changed things in Nigeria and they were ordinary people. People like us.

I believe if we start talking, here to every mother, we can get Rotavirus given freely. And let us vote with our money: I will never endorse Pampers even if I am given a carton free because it is a shoddy product and it inspired me to start looking for good options in cloth diapers available. I believe we can make enough of a fuss online and get foreign mothers involved in making Cerelac (Nestle) change their formulation for West Africa to reduce the amount of sugar in it according to all their other standards. Someone went to Ghana and said the nonsense we accept in Nigeria that other West African countries and even East Africa does not accept, but Nigerians accept and accomodate, is baffling.

So, yeah. Let's think big.

Really? Didn't know that. Rofemiguwa, you can use disposable at night and cloth during the day, I do that but my friend cloth diapers at night too. Amhappy, I donr know the PH hospital but one mum mentioned it. It will most likely be a govt hospital so start from there. We took Rotavirus and didn't have stooling during teething but I don't know if there is a correlation. Rotavirus should be free because we are not getting clean, govt treated water.

I don't know of other places sha, but that's what is happening now In my area. The certificate is given at 15 months immunization.

Do u lie down while breastfeeding or has he been down with flu lately?
If u hv been lying down breastfeeding, it can cause ear infection leading to pus coming out of the ear. I experienced this with my baby.
Cold also cause ear infection in babies, u can Google this for more clarification.

I'm glad Pneumoccocal is now free in Lagos. Someone I know went for the conference on vaccines in India and insisted we take it (Nigeria and India have the lowest rate of giving it). So when will they make Rotavirus free as well?

Crazily,some parents in the U.S. are increasingly saying they don't want their children vaccinated because they feel it is related to rising cases of Autism and other mental illnesses. Which has been unproven mostly. But doctors and government other there are now seeing rising cases of illnesses that have disappeared in the past and are insisting kids get vaccinated or no school for them. I knew a bunch of those moms and they used to be so horrified that I was willingly taking all the necessary vaccines and I had to tell them "come to Nigeria, people are paying thousands for the free offer you are rejecting".

Now u have to produce your child's immunization certificate before been registered for school.

Yes. Rotavirus Is anti-diarhea vaccine. Some babies purge a lot during teething and this prevent it.
Though I couldn't get it for my baby cos of financial constraints then, but to God be the glory, he is bringing out teeth without any hitch.

mumi onegai, I miss Baby E pix. Thanks for the birthday photoshoot idea u shared some days ago. I will be taking my baby to the field to have some beautiful shots as well for his Bday.

Since my baby now refuse to take pap, and I discovered he likes soup very well. What I did was to make the pap in solid form like semo/wheat, add ewedu or Ogbono, he eats like say tomorrow no dey. Another thing I did was that, I bought Rice for tuwo (that pure white rice) grinded it into mill, prepared it like semo for him with soup or I make it like pap and add his milk (yummy).

I resumed kpekus 2 month pp, we ave been on withdrawal method since then, its really working for us because my hubby na expert but to me na sufferness, and he will not even come back for another round, na till 2 weeks or one month after. I told him to get CD he refused, I don't know how to tell him that am not always satisfied cos of shame (he can use it to joke me). I dey shame self to tell am say I need am make he no go tag me onisekuse. And he is not a womanizer o.
