walestega:One of your solenoid screens is almost plugged up because of dirty or old transmission fluid. The bad news is that the affected solenoid is not one of the two switches visible and easily accessible on the external part of your gearbox but the culprit is actually one of the other D, E or F solenoids INSIDE the gearbox housing itself. To take care of the issue you’d have to drain out all yiur transmission fluid and drop your gearbox then open the casing to be able to reach the affected one to clean it up properly. Also don’t forget to clean your transmission oil filter while you’re in there. Or You can do your transmission drain and fill THREE TIMES to try and flush out the debris blocking the screen of the affected solenoid. Remember to use original atf dw1 fluid in your transmission. Your luck is that this issue isn’t one that can grenade your gearbox because people have driven with the same symptoms for years without their gearbox packing up. It’s just the discomfort of always checking your rpms and lifting your foot to change the gear from 1 to 2 that’s the hassle plus the fact that you can’t zoom off from a stop light smartly because of it. |
walestega:When you start moving from gear one and it’s about to enter gear two if you lift your feet from your throttle pedal would it shift smoothly? |
Igbos should forget presidency in Nigeria. It will never happen |
ndubuisi2021:Okay I agree. Anybody that drives on ehailing in Lagos for five to ten years straight will develop polio and become bat blind. You win. Congratulations ![]() @felicity0001 me I nor talk say I be billionaire yet oh lol but we’re getting there walahi ![]() |
Pearl1910:Don’t mind him. He thinks everyone here is a greenhorn like him. I believe it’s either laziness or the ‘jjc’ factor that made him have such a blind point of view concerning driving. Imagine someone blowing at 150kmph straight for up to 7 hours at a stretch and only slowing down for checkpoints. Imagine the strain on that person’s senses knowing fully well that any tiny miscalculation can send him to his maker along with numerous other souls aboard his vehicle. Imagine the concentration of that driver on Nigeria’s yeye highways with other drivers who may or may not be sane. What haven’t I witnessed? I’ve been robbed, I’ve slept on the road for days due to a broken down vehicle, I’ve had fights with agberos and task force because of emblems in numerous cities, what of army and police wahala? Army have knelt me down and flogged me koboko because I was claiming ‘sharp driver’ on onitsha bridge (I will never forget that day), I’ve driven with disgruntled passengers for hours arguing inside the vehicle, one passenger has even slapped me from my back while the vehicle was in motion (I stopped the vehicle and wouldn’t move again until he disembarked), waybill wey loss for my boot nko? Holdup from ore to shagamu, shagamu to berger (because of ongoing road constructions), asaba to head bridge, head bridge pass upper iweka (especially when traders close from market or its seasonal times). I’ve left Lagos by 7am and reached my destination by 9am the following day on numerous occasions that I cannot count and it’s not that I was asleep or resting or repairing car oh, I was driving all through the night. What of when it’s Christmas time and we need to ‘do return’ meaning I’d leave lag to east and drop off my passengers then immediately return back to Lagos empty overnight to load at the pit again the next day? That time I’d be picking riders from tollgates at the different state boundaries along my route for peanuts just to make up fuel money. You see hummer bus and sienna? There’s nothing you’d tell me about those vehicles that I do not already know. Then someone will use his leprosy infested fingers to type that I .... chai! in fact I just tire. Thank God for my life oh. I have suffered and experienced stuff sha but it left me stronger. Even while I was working in that transport company I saw men who had been driving marcopolo for decades and had kids in universities. They weren’t blind or lame oh. I worked my own and left the company and they are still there driving until this very day. Those ones will take millions away as gratuity when they finally retire. Some Nigerians need to use their brains to reason before swallowing everything they read or hear hook, line and sinker or else they will remain painfully ignorant forever, and the problem is that they will try to pass that their ignorance unto someone else. |
naphunlimited:Your throttle cable is too tight. You should loosen it a bit. There’s a nut you can unscrew by hand at the point where it connects with your throttle body. No need to change it because it seldom develops any faults. The mechanic that serviced your throttle body last must have screwed it a bit too much that’s why it’s sticking. |
ndubuisi2021:Chai! Yes I drive on ehailing and yes I have an office job. In fact I have driven interstate hummer buses and Toyota Sienna in a transportation company for years in the past and I have far more experience driving and handling vehicles than you ever have. I can wager any amount on my experience driving being far greater than yours. I put it to you that YOU sir are BLABBING. Is Lagos the worst state to drive in? Do you know there are other countries with crazier traffic than Lagos? In your myopic mind you believe the madness on the streets of Lagos can’t be rivaled anywhere else in the world right? I have driven straight 10-15hrs journeys at least 4 times a week, every week for 2 years straight on our federal highways after that I have done ehailing full time in two different cities since 2018 and I still have my active accounts till today. I currently have an office job with a table and chair and drive occasionally whenever the spirit moves me yet I tell you that I am not using eye glasses or a walking stick today. This is myself as the example you spoke of. Believe you me, I am definitely not the caliber of person you’d want to engage in myopic banter on here my man. Your so called experiment is what I have lived through for years in my past so you are in no position to tell me what I already know. You can keep doubting for all I care, unless you’re ready to set money as a bet so we can display our credentials for everyone to judge then I am definitely done with you. |
calculation:Then your final culprit is in your fuse box. I’m sure if you changed out your entire underhood fuse box you would see a difference. I once had a problem like yours, I’d be driving and my car would switch off randomly but when I started it back again it would start right back up, I changed the fusebox (after changing this and that for a year without success) before the issue went away for good. Ps. Have you checked the fuse for your fuel pump in the fusebox under your driver side dashboard? If you turn your ignition as if you’re about to start your car do you hear your fuel pump ’priming’? I once had this fuse malfunctioning and I had the same problem you are currently having. First check if your fuel pump is making that sound before you kick-start your engine, if that sound isn’t heard when your engine refuses to start but is heard when it eventually starts up then you have a very easy fix on your hands. I do not know the particular fuse number on your vehicle but I’m sure since it’s a Honda it would be easy to locate. |
Pearl1910:The thing tire me my brother. You no see that guy wey come dey tell me say i never work for office before because he believes an office chair and a drivers chair should never be compared ![]() So if he’s a bank manager and I am driving a bentley as a taxi he’s office chair must be more comfy than my pilot seat? |
Kpengla:It’s the closest situation I could use in citing my example. If you have a better one then please chip in, I’ll be much obliged. See, there are caterpillar drivers, trailer drivers, train drivers, luxurious size bus drivers, crane drivers, barge/ship drivers, aero plane drivers etc. but you singled out only vehicle taxi drivers that would grow old and develop health issues because of their career in driving vehicles? Why?? Apart from driving don’t you think there are other jobs that require an individual to sit at a spot for long hours between breaks? Even in more uncomfortable situations? There were taxi drivers before I was born and there will still be taxi drivers after I die but till today I have never seen any old person who drove a taxi for a living and got lame or blind because of it. If you want local hard facts about this issue then be opportune to visit a taxi union meeting/get together around you whenever they meet. Calculate how many blind or lame people you see. If you like count those wearing glasses as blind and those with walking sticks as lame, just peruse your figures and know your truth. I know many retired drivers and none have sight or leg issues aside natural ones like glaucoma, arthritis etc which also happens to most other people. So why stereotyping taxi drivers? |
ndubuisi2021:I am sorry to say but this is all thrash. What of people who have been driving trucks for decades and retired and lived healthy lives? Both here and abroad people drive for a living and retire with gratuity. They have vacations and and go on working leave for a few weeks in the year and back to the road. Why haven’t they gotten blind or lame? You guys just come here speaking stuff you haven’t verified or that hasn’t been proven scientifically in any way and lead people astray for no reason. Okay, those bankers that started working from age 25 and retired by age 55 and sit down at their desks from 8am to 4pm between breaks of an hour max why haven’t they become lame yet? Or are you saying that all chairs in offices are more comfortable than chairs in cars? See my people if you don’t take care of your health even if you sleep 24hrs a day you’d get ill and surely have bed sores. Anybody saying those that drive for a living will get ill health in their old age specifically because of it IS A VERY GIANT LIAR!!! quote me anywhere |
Izychi:You’d better keep driving your car like that If the blinking D light is the only thing bothering you about the gearbox. |
Godsown0:What year did they make your model. It’s with that information a technician here can help you. Hyundai Accent has been in production for many years so what exact time was your own made? Many people are ready to advise you but only if they have the right data. Right now you probably need to scan the car to know the next thing you should do. Also don’t forget to tell us the name of the oil you put in your gearbox after you removed the old fluid? |
buckeyemedia:who is weeping for who? How many threads have you and your bmc crew opened because of mnk since last week? Cry cry babies |
buckeyemedia:Then kuku somersault out of my precious mentions you myopic bmc hack ![]() |
buckeyemedia:Buhari has immunity as a president currently so its after he has stepped down/handed over to the next regime that he will be bundled to answer for his crimes by interpol if he decides to run away from the summons from Hague And who is having inferiority complex? So you expect buhari to be tried in any court in Nigeria and it will be fair? I am not naive and neither are other sane Nigerians. |
Ipob never fought anyone, hacked anybody or shot any bullets. They just March on the streets waving flags while singing solidarity hymns. The question shouldn’t be WHO they are fight or but WHAT they are fighting for. The sit at home exercise is a very well recognized mode of protest called civil disobedience and is not against the law so I don’t understand why you apc goons are crying out about it. Or do you want them to go out on the streets again and get shot down? Or go to the senate or House of Representatives where we all know that the other members are holding a larger percentage of votes and will throw out any deliberations concerning their agitation once it’s raised? I thought you all were clapping and claiming that the sit at home was affecting only the south east and investors in their area, so what now changed? Why the uproar over what isn’t affecting you? |
Heathrow44:Buhari, buratai and whoever heads dss at the time of mnk’s extradition will definitely be summoned to The Hague. Let’s watch and see |
Rugaria:I don’t think so, if he’s really not from benue state then he’s a northerner There are many of them hiding behind igbo or yoruba monikas to be causing confusion on this forum. |
Godsown0:Make sure you use original palm oil for your keke napep gearbox. If you use all those holt or abro it will pafuka immediately you drive it out of the workshop. To be forewarned. . . |
Nice one. Freedom must come at last for MNK. He did no single wrong by waking the homeland spirit in his people up and opening their eyes to the blatant injustice thrown towards them. Don’t forget the ruga plan which was destroyed because of his advance warning to everyone who wanted the best for their region and people too. This court case will mar apc and the plans of the few scrupulous ones among them. The ICC in Hague will undoubtedly have some Nigerian visitors after this regime. MNK will finish them with the truth and the sun will rise in the end. Apc bmc make una continue to dey cry blood we go use bucket catch am dash una back for transfusion. |
Very predictable goons lol so because MNK is appearing in court tomorrow and there will be a sit at home you are opening threads upandan. A benue man that has never for once in his life opened a thread to complain about the killings that go on in his own state and backyard. Abegi, we sane Nigerians know that it's the same people who are sponsoring boko haram, iswapand bandits that are the ones perpetrating the unrest in the south east. They were jealous and angry that Igbos didn't allow them come into their region with their open chest so now they are going under the cover of unknown gunmen to create chaos in the region. The worst is that the same politicians sponsoring these people are using the opportunity to also paint the esn and ipob black so that the south east won’t have any other local support group to counter their advances. Let them all know that their plan will never work. Ipob is a non violent group. Esn are protecting the south east forests and farmlands against herdsmen and the people know who their true enemies are. All apc baboons propaganda has failed and will continue to fail till thy kingdom come on this matter. Sit at home continues on Monday and any other day that MNK is to appear in court. |
Nah wah Nigeria don finally turn ’borrow pose’ country. Who we never dey owe money? USA oh, China ehh, UK oh, but yet bubu will have the audacity to be donating billions to his jihadist brothers in Afghanistan and Syria to further their cause ![]() The railway we are still owing people for has turned into business kiosk for bandits to be cashing out hundreds of millions daily via ransoms People let’s persevere, the sun will surely rise over us someday soon. |
donbrowser:Oluomo and his goons would definitely come for you if you try to erect such signs without proper protocols being followed. |
Wey all those nairaland bmcs? Make dem share that their stipend into 2 donate go give those bandits to release their brother lol APC = TOTAL FAILURE |
IamCeazer:Do you have blood running in your veins? Are your two feet on the ground when you walk? Do you breathe in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide? If all the answers to my above questions are ‘yes’ then it will definitely work on you. How much are you willing to bet so we can set a venue for the slap, we will give the cash to an escrow who will be there to witness the event and hand the prize over to the winner. Also remember to choose a place with clean green grass . . . E get why |
Imagine! A man was just praying to his ‘ogun’ and the busybody woman couldn’t keep away. Tomorrow now if people start harassing her when she’s praying to her own god how would she feel? IamCeazer:I get the jazz. Come let me slap you only one so you can test and see if it will work. |
kanuisagoat:So in essence you’re trying to tell us that all the Corolla’s that are naija used and selling for N1.5m and above have not been abused? So because a car has a high resale value it means it can never be abused? |
Are you going to use red commercial plates? Commercial plate number requires that you have certain emblems if you’re going to be moving between states without NURTW wahala. But If you’re using regular blue plates no problem. Just hang a small curtain on each window on the boot doors and agberos will not be able to easily see your load. |
As you can see, Ipob & esn terrorists have gone to display their madness in ogun today ![]() Since we all want to be stark raving mad in this country ![]() |
We haff given up teeh-teeh. Let buhari and his fellow northern people chop their zoogeria alone and clean mouth. We down south have bigger fish to fry |
