montelik:it all depends on fergie! i hope he doesn't give in to his periodic brain-farts of relying on the oldies(giggs/carrick in a 2-man midfield). if cleverley isn't fit, a 3-man midfield of ando, carrick and fletcher would do a nice job. if cleverley is fit, his combination with anderson would generate quick passing , dynamism and strength out outfight liverpool's midfield. i don't trust anderson to play to his best with anyone else but cleverley in a 2-man midfield. he must be well supported to deliver his very best. his options are: 2 static midfielders or 1 mobile midfielder! lovejo:even if it's 80 naira, what is the rate now? 200 naira! there you go. . . . . |
StarBoard:which i respect. . . .everyone has the right to give their opinion but the privilege shouldn't be abused! We'll be satisfied when we know we can beat Barcelona,Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, not Norwich,Chelsea and Arsenal as we seem to do easily.bayern munich? ![]() real madrid? ![]() i laugh in nani. |
GenBuhari:you have raised a very good point, sir! all the military regimes have been better than the democratic era in nigeria. i still don't understand why nigerians think democracy is our solution. we cannot imitate the west in everything because our tradition/culture and beliefs are very different. a white man wants to be a president to serve his people. a nigerian wants to be a president so he can be served. those are two different ambitions and yet we expect jonathan to be like obama or david cameron. it's pure nonsense. there's no way boko haram or sharia would have seen the light of the day under any military era. mind, i am not saying the military are saints. they are also corrupt but they instil discipline. politicians are more corrupt and they have no discipline at all. i really don't think any democratic government can shape nigeria. we need another idiagbon to lock all the politicians in prison and fight indiscipline with the nation's resources. meet fire with fire and nigerians would sit tight. until then, it would just be garbage in, garbage out of useless, semi-illiterate politicians ruling nigeria! |
dyabman:the boy na bush man! he thinks nairaland is a beer parlour where senseless talks are appreciated! |
debosky:shut ur mouth, debosky! what has school fees gotta do with this? StarBoard:because it'd be a futile attempt! But the above post got me shot. This proves you don't have your facts all tied together.yeah, let's compare those dark days of man utd to now. let's compare the days of djemba-djemba, kleberson, roy caroll, silvestre, richardson, etc to the wealth of world class players we have now. wasn't that the game that united lost when rio got injured(his very last match before his 8 month ban)? it's funny you had to travel that far back to scoop out a game united lost - that even proves ma point! losing to wolves is unheard of! it's akin to spain losing to nigeria. 'Master of double speak.we did not lose to stoke! in the other example, we lost 2-1 to chelsea who were better than us in the 2nd half. More to follow.Right now I got work to do.yea, go and work! come back when you have more credible points to throw at this new team. for now, it's just pissing in the wind. a team that has not lost yet and there's been so much criticisms in the way they play - can united fans ever be satisfied? |
RuuDie:united have scored 24 goals, conceded only 5, won 6 and drew 1, oh my gosh - united are in crisis! ![]() You want to say we are not lucky thus far. . . . . you want to say its only down to our forward play that we've not lost thus far. . . . . .pray, tell me how we've survived not conceding togoal bound balls that were not saved by De Gea going in our net. . . .and I assure you, over the last 4 games, there were many. we were lucky, simple and short!we are on top of the table because we have been more clinical than our rivals. . . .our forward play has been magnificent! man utd - 24 goals scored out of 51 shots on target man city - 23 goals scored out of 57 shots on target chelsea - 17 goals scored out of 51 shots on target what else do you need to know? As usual you will say you didn't see any abi ~ and you no need brain join put the wan wey dey before. . . . . guy, things go hard for you oh!there's no luck in football - otherwise, united must be the luckiest team in the world. every season, rivals use the luck excuse to describe united's success. luck my arse! what has happened to other teams not having our kind of luck? fergie mortgaged his soul to the devil or what? Not with this frequency. . . .not this glaringly! And what is the guarantee we will always get our chances at the other end and score. . . . thats if we get 'em at all!?what guarantee? united have scored 24 goals in 7 league games - that's the guarantee! and they have not played shyte teams in that period. they have beaten chelsea, arsenal and tottenham in that period. Of course, no need to bother about 'em or any other top side in Europe now. . . . hopefully, there will be ample time to!no need - unless you want to bring barcelona to the premier league to compete the league title with us. it makes me laugh when people compare a team in another country to man utd! will barcelona win the premier league title? ![]() Trust you to be the only one who sees FEEBLE!feeble shots! de gea has saved 32 shots, conceding just 5 goals in 6 games joe hart has saved 21 shots, conceding 5 goals in 7 games petr cech has saved 7 shots, conceding 8 goals in 5 games szczesny has saved 22 shots, conceding 16 goals in 7 games pepe reina has saved 17 shots, conceding 8 goals in 7 games -------- -------- the stats above tell me de gea's goal has been peppered with more shots than his counterparts and he's made the most saves but conceded fewest goals. this is all you need to know about de gea factor! majority of these shots are feeble as de gea is not iker casillas! Ah yes, the wait till we are knee-deep in water before we start building the Ark!cleverley has penned a 4-year deal today means one thing! alex ferguson has decided to reinstate him into the new side alongside anderson. united are not going back to the old and laboured carrick/scholes axis that made us too mechanical, boring and predictable last season. If there's anybody in here who believes this is true, pls indicate with a very loud "aye" ~ because I swear I've seen teams, week in week out, hand out severe thrashing to their opposition without as much as a sniff of threat on their goal. . . . .ah, I forget, as usual coogar only sees what his myopia wants him to see. . . .must be your amnesia getting to me - never knew it was cyber-airborne!how many clear chances did bolton, tottenham and arsenal create against us? how many clear chances did west brom create? you are just exaggerating as if united don't miss chances of their own. we have only scored 24 of the 94 shots attempted. it means we have somehow managed to squander 70 shots in 7 league games! Did you ever hear SAF complain about Carrick not scoring. . . . .?he wants his midfielders to add their quota to the goals scored - something anderson and cleverley have more potential to do. this is why alex ferguson is persisting with the young blood! the name of the game is to outscore your opponents and we have done that very well! I am not entirely sure he has dumped it - in fact, I believe unlike you, he is beginning to see MORE CLEARLY now why he'd always kept faith in Carrick / Scholesy combo all the while and keeping one man to screen the defence. My bet is, he will soon try to resurrect it, albeit with slightly different personnelresurrect it how? bring scholesy back from retirement?? ![]() slightly different personnel? carrick and fletcher? fletcher and gibson? you are having a laugh, man! united's winning formular is ando-cleverley, until one or both of them get injured - nothing would change! carrick/fletcher have been relegated to the 2nd team. they are back-ups to the new improved and dynamic united midfield. . . . . . . and I sorry for the "love of your life" Anderson if that midfield doesn't sit up defence-wise and start getting tighter on the opposition, it is he who will be sacrificed, whether he scores a hattrick every other game or not!!!that must be a figment of your wet-dreams. ![]() the bad news for you is. . . . .alex ferguson thinks differently: 'He's been tremendous, the boy,' 'He's had a couple of long-term injuries which haven't helped him, but in the last year or so, he's steered clear of injury. 'That means he's training every day so his fitness levels are much better. And he's maturing so you can see the consistency in his game.' https://static.givemefootball.com/gmf/files/eb/eb38a50c-e431-4ac8-8cc6-a47df12208cc.634509981059394240.jpg |

debosky:Park: National service unavoidable New Arsenal signing Park Chu-Young says there is no chance he will be able to avoid national service in two years' time. South Korea forward Park, 26, signed from Monaco this summer in a deal reported to be worth £4 million, but it appears he will spend only two years at the Emirates before he is forced to return to his homeland. "It isn't really possible to be excused," he said in the Daily Star Sunday. "That can't and won't happen, which is another reason I chose to come here. "I'll have to leave Europe in two years' time and I thought this would be an incredible place to finish. My national service is inevitable and there is no point in thinking anything else. "I'll still be playing games, but for an army club. I think it'll be difficult to return to Europe after that, although if something interesting comes up, you never know." ----- ----- if wenger knew the above and still decided to spend £4m on park, then wenger's daft! £4m would have signed elokobi(the strongest defender in europe). ![]() |
StarBoard:i had to - this season's team has done better(so far) than any other man utd team after fergie. they are enjoying the best start to a season and you have to consider the number of quality opposition they have beaten! And?i don't care by how many points united win the league. just win it. the treble winning team won on the last day of the premiership, the european double winning team won it on the last day of the prem by 2 points. those squads are better than the squad that won it last season - by a distance! Only 7 games in and you're drawing parallels.i did not, you and ruudie did. you started the comparison with last season when united were more difficult to break down and teams don't fire shots at us. Selective amnesia.so because wolves beat chelsea and liverpool at molineux means united should lose there? manchster united losing at wolves is unheard of. i don't care how others do there, united should be beating wolves with their 3rd team, never mind first! Relax.don't paper the cracks, my friend! we were shyte away from home last season - the statistics read 5 away wins in 19 away games! it's the worst record any league champion has ever recorded in the history of the premier league! If you are refering to the City game, that was a friendly.Name something that was at stake that day of importance.there's no friendly game between man utd and man city! ask around!!! the hatred is perfectly mutual! Ask us how they lost that Chelsea game. You know very well how Martin Atkinson screwed us royally. You were the chief complainant here after the game.we lost the match - end of story! Champions League tie, yes. But we beat them in a competitive fixture, the quarter finals of the Champions league at Stamford bridge.Community Shield games mean SQUAT.In the end almost nobody remembers those games. It's a glorified friendly.Never mind if it's against City. You mention those places like United have never lost there before.more hot air. community shield means squat? you should tell an arsenal fan that and let's see he won't shadowbox your face! in mourinho's words - "a cup is a cup" United's treble -winning side were beaten at Highbury 3-nil.You much-touted holy trinity side of 08-09 lost at Emirates.08/09 had no holy trinity, berbatov had joined us then to break the triumvirate. 07/08 was the holy trinity in the real sense of it. We have never managed to win at the bridge since 2002 in all competitions. The best results we kept getting were draws since then. The 07/08 side lost there too.Even at that,it took Martin Atkinson's refereeing genius to stop us from winning that game last season. We won there in the champions league with a highly tactical approach, yet you want to bring up a referee-assisted loss earlier in the season.this is not relevant! this season's side is yet to lose a game this season. you need to wait for them to lose first before coming out with your knives! it was practicably unheard of for man utd to face chelsea or arsenal without vidic and rio - this season, it does not matter any more. the rookies are living up their hype and we managed to beat 2 strong teams with smalling and jones and a rookie goalie in the defence! give them their credits! phil jones is 19 for fucks' sake! As for Liverpool, the less said of it,the better.08/09 isn't holy trinity - i must warn. besides ronaldo missed that game as he was recovering from his ankle surgery. berbatov's first game for us and fergie was still at cross-roads deciding how to set up the team. in 07/08 when it was basically tevez, rooney, ronaldo, we blew anfield away with mesmeric display of football! If I take the excerpts i gave you,the much-touted rock-solid defensive unit of 08/09 lost at the emirates and anfield and drew at the bridge. Are they much different from last season's side that won teh league by a larger margin (9 points) than the 08/09 side (4 points) and went ahead to the CL finals (same as the 08/09 side) and managed a goal agains the same opponents in the finals?the emirates and anfield and the bridge game all happened before november in that season. matter of fact, the stamford bridge game followed the anfield game. ronaldo missed both games. the united team was still shaky as we usually start slow and up the ante later in the season. it was after the loss at emirates that the clean sheet spree started. nasri was the last player to score against man utd until santa cruz did the following year! Please don't come up with the "much of the league was more shytier than United" cr*p because it doesn't sit with me.Is there any evidence to prove that the league has improved since then?of course it has. look behind you - man city. tied on points with man utd. chelsea have improved with the new players villas-boas has acquired. the mid-table teams are not looking bad anymore. stoke fc are frightening and same as newcastle who are yet to lose a game this season. my friend, the league has improved. if not, arsenal won't be sitting in the 15th position after 7 league games. eyah.they couldn't as the best 2 strikers in the team were effectively put out of the game. last season's team that went there had rooney and hernandez starting for us. this season, it was berbatov and owen! last season's team also had vidic in the defence who won every header pumped into our box. this season's team had a 19 yr old phil jones marking the tallest player in the league! we were good value for money and if you can use atkinson as an excuse, i would use it as an excuse too cos woodgate should have seen red card with a penalty to boot! The names you were throwing minus Rooney played that game.Yet you want us to believe that last season's side is rubbish because those key players were missing from this year's side.i cannot even analyse the strength of th 2 teams based on a single game at stoke - it's idiotic! i am saying this season's team have done better after the first 7 games than the last season's team. 7 games is a decent sample size rather than the one game show you are harping about. stoke have improved! As for your accounts on what happened at the Brittania,i beg to disagree.Once Stoke equalised, this side couldn't muster any firepower at Stoke.Rather Stoke bombarded us with the heavy artillery.Contrast that to last season.Stoke equalised, but we went on and got a win.we mustered enough fire power to have won the game. giggs missed a sitter at the death when nani's teasing cross found him at the far post! on another day, that was a goal! but like i said, it's a tad moronic to base the results of a game to judge 2 sides. i am using a decent sample size of 7 games, you are using one game! Afterall, you doubt that Messi is the best player in the world because Andy Gray asks whether he (Messi) can conquer the Brittania on a cold, wet night. So by inference, this team's abilities should be called into question since they failed to get it done at the same location, despite their flying start to the season. It remains to be seen, sir.andy gray said britannia on a cold, wet, tuesday night. we played there on a bright, warm saturday evening so the above statement is invalid. ![]() Time will tell.yea yea yea - this season's side has lost at home, haven't they? they have lot to spurs, norwich, arsenal and chelsea. ![]() what has the home form gotta do with this debate? you are beginning to make your own arguments! |
nateevs:abacha stopped us going in 96, we got banned in 98. siasia is a lunatic for failing to qualify. the nations cup has always been our birthright! |
debosky:i hope so too cos park-chu young would be leaving the emirates in less than 2 years to complete his national service. wenger must be daft not to have seen this coming before spreading cheddars on the korean player. |
Ibime:i cannot believe nigeria failed to qualify for nations cup? abeg, i have not followed nigerian football in 6 yrs. what the fuck happened? |
baslone:next time, take a picture of what you consider indecent! Eben 2:so God will come down to come and say miniskirt is wrong or what? are you out of your mind, eben 2? Besides, everybody knows what dress is decent and which is not. and i maintained that a truly born-again child of God will never expose any part of his/her body for an outsider to see in the name of fashion; because such is not canally minded but only work according to the dictates of the Spirit.i don't think i know. decency in fashion is subjective. what is okay to okafor might be a taboo for emeka! there's no hard and fast rule. let people wear what makes them feel comfortable and you perverted men should go for deliverance instead of ogling at legs and cleavages! Eben 2:take a picture when you see another indecent dressing in any church! |
debosky:you are a depraved, disgusting, alcohol-sodden and piss-stained sack of shyte! ![]() hannie:deborah has lost it! i don't even know where he keeps his brain-cells these days. spewing shyte and hokum everyday of the week is now his habit! i dunno when walcott became world class because he got arsenal to the group stage of the champions league - a situation they shouldn't have found themselves in the first place! |
debosky:theo walcott has the shittiest football brain ever! i don't think he's longer trainable! this boy has been at arsenal for almost 6 years now and we are still waiting for him to deliver. Even Nani that is tearing up the league still has flaws in his decision making that he needs to cut out - can he also be described as lacking in confidence?nani would still execute a pass, over/underhit the cross, or shoot from a distance! walcott takes the ball to the touch-line and would lose possession without any pressure. he must be the most frustrating winger for arsenal's forwards. someone like chamakh became ordinary because of walcott's periodic brain-farts. eboue has a better cross than walcott. Anyways, I'll attribute that comment to English not being your first language or the need to criticize certain players regardless of performance, or just idleness caused by the international break. Select whichever more closely applies.is english your own first language? see gbongan boy trying to feel funky. ![]() |
RuuDie:nah, you should go borrow brain from the bank with a collateral. . . .cos you need a copious amount of it! if the shots at goal are potent enough, they should be in the net. coming from you(de gea's biggest critic), how has de gea managed to save all these headers, tap ins, back-heels, chesters and hands of god? so united have been lucky in 7 consecutive league games? ![]() why are united always lucky season after season? you are starting to sound like a gaynner! it doesn't surprise me that you are the only one in the whole of NL sports section who didn't see all the close shaves and close calls we've had to endure in matches we've played right in our own box. I hope it doesn't mean you are long-sighted and only see stuffs that happen outside the 18. . . . you must miss a lot of goalmouth action thenthere would always be close calls and close shaves, it's not as if man utd do not get their own chances on the other end as well. united create the most chances every season, i can provide statistics that back us on that. it's just that we are more clinical than others. Barcelona are undisputably Europe's best now because they hardly let the opposition touch the ball, talkless of allow them nearing Valdes' goal.let us be playing catch-up with barcelona, i don't care about them. barcelona don't play in the premier league. they can beat each team in their division 100-0. why should i be bothered about what barcelona do in spain? i am concerned about man city, arsenal, chelsea and liverpool. what barca do means shyte in the title race! Look thru those figures again at the 'Saves'. . . . .we have UTD's keeper making more saves than the opposition's and that is s'posed to be cheery news!? when some teams we are trying to match can comfortably play without a GK and still not concede. Why else is our GK all over the place making saves if there isn't a fair measure of pressure on our goal.all those feeble shots and crosses de gea palm with his hands all register as saves. i have told you - this number is because of the de gea factor! if we play van der sar in goal with the same defence/midfield set up, the shots would reduce cos opponents know van der sar cannot be caught off-guard! de gea's reputation in spain is the reason his goal gets peppered by meaningless shots everywhere on the pitch! Just typical naija mentality. . . . lets see the floods before we start building Noah's ark!if it ain't broke, don't fix it! ever heard of that before? ![]() Thank you. You have just voiced it all there, because we haven't lost yet we can assume that all is well (Super Eagles mentality). . . . .I love the forward play, but I'd love more to see a bit more coordination/control at the back too.you either choose one of the two. you cannot have it both ways - something the gaffer understands so much! it's either you prefer the slow, mechanical and boring football we served most times last season or you choose the way we play this season. there's no balancing act! last season had carrick as an extra defender(who mainly sits in front of the back four permanently). the reason carrick had 0 goals and 0 assists in 28 league apps last season - which was uncarrick like. this season, fergie has dumped the method of putting an extra man in the space between the defence/midfield. he wants that extra man to be involved in the attack, giving us 6 players in the opposition half every time we attack, instead of 4 or 5 players we had there last season. it means, we are now more vulnerable in defence but we are more likely to score each time we attack. as long as we outscore our opponents, 3 points guaranteed! the game against arsenal ended 8-2! we took all the 3 points. with the method that pleases you, it would have ended a boring 1-0 just like last season. i think i prefer this season's result! |
toba:it's harsh to criticize the nigerian government for a natural disaster. people often forget lagos island as a whole is below sea level. flooding would always be a problem because lekki/ajah areas were sand-filled to help reduce the congestion on the ikoyi/victoria island. granted, the government should be doing better and i am sure they did what they thought was fine back then but the congestion in lagos and the lack of a proper maintenance culture are the key factors. another factor is the orientation of lagos residents who dump whatever in their drainage system forgetting those things would still come back and haunt them. |
I'm not repeating myself. Scroll up and read my posts carefully.
done! still don't understand. Are you seriously comparing joining military to marriage? Weak analogy.same difference! Sweerat, since we are going against the norm; I'm proposing with a pair of range rover sportsfixed! |
What you quoted was actually more of "an anti-feminism/indifferent towards feminism" comment. So, what are you on about?
how so? Why are you arguing with yourself?they have not switched roles. when women were recruited to join military forces, men did not tell them the roles would be switched. the men just carried on with their original tasks and the women stuck to their roles! Coogzy, marry me-?are you on one knee and the ring is diamond? |
zataxs:are you sure that was meant for me? |
I've never really understood that quote. What a man can do, a woman can do better? It doesn't even make sense. It's a random quote that some random woman made up to console herself. Therefore, if I "see" a topic like that, i'll most likely not comment.
i don't believe you, madam. you are one of the feminists in this habitat! there's nothing wrong with a woman proposing to a man? women have been liberated. they now head various organizations, they rule countries, etc. surely, kneeling down and proposing to a man shouldn't be the most difficult task ever. as a matter of fact, i need you to propose to me right now. |
Ibime:shattap, what do you know about rap? you think this is soulja boy or enigma freestyle? this is rap at it's very best. . . .not some jigga/kanye nonsense! eminem murdered royce 5'9". if the 2 were unsigned hype on "the source" magazine and you are a record label chairman, who would you sign between the two? DBR:eminem wrote the lyrics and was marginally better than royce! mind, royce was excellent too - this is the only rapper that has given eminem a good run for his rapping ability. they were neck and neck in most of the tracks but eminem still came up stronger! |
RuuDie:so how exactly would barcelona or the other teams you perceived are better than us would stop the opposition from firing shots at them? the statistics you provided only show attempted shots, they are not chances. any team can fire shots at their opponents 40, 30, 20 yards from goal. it doesn't say nada. it's de gea factor. with van der sar in goal, these things wouldn't have happened cos no manager would tell his players to fire shots from 40 yards at the dutch wizard! Fine, very good attacking display but like we saw against Basel, as long as we don't exert some measure of control on the game, its likely to spiral out of our hands.let it spiral before you complain na. . . . . . you are doing the equivalent of a passenger boarding a plane and saying if the pilot does not exert some measure of control of his plane, he's likely to crash the plane. ![]() Surely, we cannot have it our way all the time. . . . . teams don't go on 15-20 games winning streaks playing score me, i score you footie - see Dortmund of last season. It is not healthy practice. . . . .and we do not have to wait till we lose to know that things are not right!we are man utd, we can do whatever fuckin thing we want! ![]() |
RuuDie:and the plot thickens. . . . . norwich: 17 shots attempted, 2 saved, 0 goals scored. . . . .that tells me most of these shots are fired into row z stoke: 13 shots, 3 saved out of 5, 1 goal conceded. . . . .this is an anomaly because of the way stoke play - ball is always in the air. chelsea: 22 shots, 8 on target, 3 saves, 1 goal conceded. . . . . 14 of chelsea's shots were off target, and we were lucky? ![]() bolton: 22 shots, 6 on target, 0 goal conceded. . . . . .i must ask you, what is keeping these shots away from our net? voodoo? then arsenal, spurs, and west brom firing ridiculous shots at de gea to catch him by surprise - what can the midfielders do about that? can you not see a pattern here that these shots are even what is keeping united on top of the table? these teams would have actually copped better chances trying to work the ball into the net. . . . , but because of de gea, they fire these shots outside the box hoping to catch him off-guard! this is why the conversion rate of our opponents against us must be the poorest they must have recorded this season. i dare you to print the shots on target of these teams in their other fixtures and check out their conversion rates? it would produce different results! there's nothing any midfield can do to trigger happy teams firing shots from different angles. most of these shots are not clear-cut chances! These stats worry me. . . . along with the fact that the opposition practically stroll into our box at will to miss chances because of a 'nonexistent' midfield - how many gilt edge chances did Stoke, Arsenal Chelsea, Basel and Norwich miss!!!? Like I said, it is turning into kalo'kalo (bet some yorubas will explain to you better if you don't know what it means) and soon enough, it won't be near-misses, saves or chances gone begging, it'd be goals against. . . .so what happens if at the other end, our excellent blistering attack does not provide the goods!?the stats sweeten me! chelsea are not exactly a useless team and yet, they could only manage 1 goal in 22 shots taken. arsenal managed 2 goals from 20 shots. bolton couldn't score from 14 shots attempted. is either de gea is the best goalkeeper on the planet or these shots carry no threats whatsoever. the truth must lie between those 2 facts!then you went about talking about the gilt edge chances stoke, arsenal, chelsea, etc missed. . . . .what about the chances united missed in those games? we created better chances to score against those teams and we were more clinical than them. man utd vs arsenal could have ended 15-5 on the night. man utd vs chelsea could have ended 9-4! the fact still remains we have shown we can outscore our biggest rivals - that is what would win us titles! |
baslone:i don't believe that picture was taken in a church! you have to do better than that! |
StarBoard:if you quit trying to discredit this season's side. . . . .i will follow your lead. They were rubbish, but they won us the league by 9 points (3 games).this season's side are on top of the league since matchday 3 They were rubbish, but they only lost in Europe once to Barcelona, winning all but one game on the road(a creditable draw at Marseille).this season's side are yet to lose too despite the wholesale change in the personnel with rookies. They were rubbish but they managed to stay unbeaten at home both in the domestic & continental scene.they lost to wolves! wolves of all team. not to mention the 0-4 loss to west ham. Tell me how many teams were able to achieve that feat across Europe.the current united side are almost there. you relax! But because the competition is weaker, you are christening this team the ish only after about 10 games just because we're scoring for fun, even though we are brittle at the back.by the same token, you are hyping the side of last season with so many idiotic draws and a senseless unbeaten run full of mediocre performances. drawing 0-0 at sunderland, drawing 1-1 at birmingham, drawing at everton, fulham, tottenham, etc. Resilience to me is to hang in there when the going gets tough, not when everything is sweet&rosy with lots of goals to boot.Resilience is digging yourself out of a hole or getting a result where no one expects you to.so have this new man utd lost a match when the going gets tough? how do you know they have no resilence? Last years side won at Chelsea for the first time since 2002 yet they are thrash.they lost 2-1 in the league. yes, they won the champions league tie but that's a different proposition. no english side can beat man utd home/away in the champions league. . . . .so there you go! Last years side turned numerous 2-nil deficits into at least a point.this year's side won a game that started with a 2-nil deficit! a new improved man city. . . . . . .the same man city that beat last year's side in the fa cup semis. Last year's side beat Chelsea 4 times, including the Shield including a pressure cooker game at OT after a loss at Arsenal at the back-end of the season to effectively seal the title.i am laughing so hard here. last year's side lost at stamford bridge, lost at the emirates, lost at anfield, etc. you want me to go on? Last year's side won at the famed Britannia where this same squad could only get a draw.Since you believe Brittania is likely to be the graveyard of all the great ones, including Messi, shouldnt that come for something especially since your flair team of this season only drew there?courtesy of javier hernandez! this season, he was taken out as early as the 3rd minute. we should have earned a penalty and a sending off for jonathan woodgate! rooney was out, hernandez was out, no vidic, no van der sar, no rafael - but the boys didn't let their heads down. they soldiered on and got something out of the britannia against a determined and new-improved stoke side. chelsea drew there, liverpool lost there and stoke are unbeaten in europe. Last season's side was indeed truly rubbish.they are very inferior to this new man utd side! |
neey1051:i humbly reiterate, you are a twunt! |
infinitii:this can't be true. why would a man leave lagos for one obscure village? besides what kinda illness held him down for a whole year? give us the details here, no need contacting you on kennuga!! and did you just say mother-in-laws are wicked? well now, you have a son. one woman would say the same about you later in future. |
