i can understand people calling a general overseer 'daddy' but calling a campus fellowship leader 'daddy'? that's beyond my imagination cry cry
Ditto 4 me. Wen I newly attended d fellowship & wz told to wait to meet wit the 'mama' I wz expecting to see a motherly figure but lo & behold I saw someone who could pass 4 my older sister. I had to ask if she wz married but she wasnt. In fact I dont even kno d names of our leaders as everyone calls dem 'papa' and 'mama'. Its almost lyk an unwritten code not to call deir names, which all members must adhere to.

^ thanks 4 dat. The thing is everyone around me refers 2 dem as daddy & mummy. Since im yet to catch up wit the trend, I am made to feel out of place as if by calling dem pastors I am uttering a disrespectful word. So I wuld lyk to kno if dere is a bible verse supporting dis so I know im not sinning.

Religion / Why The 'Daddy' Craze In Our Churches? by Coolabbie: 2:57pm On May 23, 2011
Alright I need to get this off my chest. Im a christian and a proud one at dat. There are sum things about the church dat I find puzzling but the one that really gets to me is this manner of calling pastors 'Daddy'. Im a member of the Redeemed Church but I have neva understood why our General Overseer should be called 'Daddy' & his wife 'Mummy' or 'Mother-in-Israel  grin ( I particularly find dis funny). I always dismiss dis as a trend common & peculiar to our churches only. Of recent I got admission into the university & started attending campus fellowships. I was surprised to learn that the leaders, who are all fellow students, are called Papa and Mama by oda students. I wuld luv to know if dis is a biblical doctrine, fad or just a Nigerian thingy. Do u call ur pastors daddy?  If so why? undecided

I want to assure you that if he fails, it will be because of these evil elements.

Is it me who is a Core Niger Deltan ready to die for Buhari now but was without hindsight ready to die for clueless GEJ if he had not succeeded Yar' Adua that we go and fight my Northern brothers who are on a rescue mission to save us from 12years of backwardness? Please be informed that if there is trouble, the people I would go after are our Common Northern and Southern Enemies, namely my brothers GEJ, Mr Fix it, Baba Ogun, Atiku, IB, ,etc.

goodbye to the last of the true patriots

people who in spite of the odds decided to do what they could to try to save nigeria

if nigeria was not in the grasp of murderers robbers, exconvicts , theives and the like, men like buhari would not fee the need to make a change

if not for men like obasanjo, who threw away the chance to save nigeria, who ispite of their time in abachas gulag, became mad with power and greed,

men like buhari would not needed

if not for the fact that we had mediocre incompetent men of dubious character foisted on nigeria as leaders

if not for the decade long record of incompetence in all area of running nigeria

men like buhari would not be needed

the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing

pdp will alway represent evil. the pdp apologist can rebrand the party that has fielded exconvicts, indicted individual, sponsors of terrorism, international class criminals as a 'reformed' party , but nigerians and the world are not decieved

we shall God willing see more wikileaks cables which will tell us what we already know, that these elections are more of the same , a higher ad more polished form of rigging

for those evil, twisted souls who would tell the most desperate lies to preserve the status quo,

your time will come

we have ben force fed with the lies the same lies we have heard three times now

in the end, nigeria will get what it deserves

incompetent thieving leaders who will push us to he abyss

i only hope if this country falls, those who contributed, will join the rest of us in becoming refugees

adeiu

buhari, you are better and have more charcater in your little toe than the people who do their best to smear you

we know them, tribalist, thieving hypocritical beneficiaries of the system
Damn u Oyb. U made me cry here. U sound lyk one who has lost hope & i dont blame u.

This man is a silly & shameless pig, Nigeria has not yet been able to recover from the cultism which he pioneered in universities and is now ravaging the entire system, yet he has the nerves to comment on national issues, he should tell us how to solve the cultism problem before commenting on the nation, it's only in a country like ours that criminals are left to roam the streets with freedom, when he should be rotting im kirikiri with that his irritating beard !
