Drivers treats riders well on Uber and Riders treats drivers well on Uber. But as for Taxify a lot of drivers are frustrated, they pass their frustration to riders and riders no get choice than to treat them like trash. Happy drivers equals to happy riders

I picked up my rider, Mr. Emeka in a hotel at #226A Muri Okuola street in Victoria Island. He said he was going to Eko hotel.
I started the trip and drove through Adegun Ajose. He ordered me to stop by Chicken Republic so he'd pick up something to eat. I pulled over and waited for him.

He was in there for about 12 minutes. while he was there I got another request, the next rider called and asked me when I'd get to him. I told him I was on a ride but I'd reach him in about ten minutes, that was the ETA according to the map.
I called my current rider to tell him I was still waiting.

He said I should hold on, that it's his money and he could keep me however long he wanted. He dropped the call.

I waited for about another seven minutes before he came out. After he got in back into the car, he asked me why I called to hurry him up, that his money was running and he could keep me for however long he wished.
I nicely replied that and said ' Sir that's not really how it works, and that I had another request and the rider who's waiting for me just after his trip"

He flared up and said who am I to tell him how things work in Lagos. That if I talk again he'd keep me there for the rest of the day.

He sounded really frightening so I told him to kindly request another ride, that I wasn't going to continue with the trip anymore. He said am I mad? I must take him to his destination otherwise he'd beat me up and no one can do anything about it.

I reversed back into chicken Republic and stepped out of the car, leaving him inside alone. He sat inside, opened his side of the door and relaxed.

I went to the security guy at Chicken Republic to report the situation and
to ask if they had contact of any Police officer around. While I was making my report to the security guard, He stormed into the eatery hall to drag me back into the car. I resisted and tried to run into he bathroom. He is huge and was throwing punches at me.

After about 5 minutes, I ended the trip and told him to just leave me alone and go. Onlookers told him to go that the trip was over and since didnt want to go, he should get another ride.


Hoping we were done, I stepped outside to get to my car, he grabbed me and hit me on my back, near my neck region, it affected my left spine. While this was going on, a lady was taking a video of what was going on. He went on to harass the lady. I tried to get into my car, he wouldn't let me. He threatened to kill me. All these while the other rider was waiting. I had to quickly escape to Adeogun Ajose roundabout to get a police officer. I locked my car and ran off since he didn't let me into my car. He said he'd keep me there for the rest of the day. When I got back wirh an Officer, he pushed down my car window and opened the lock. Got his stuff and made away with his food and my fuel money.
The police officer said he's likely a kidnapper. The other rider cancelled his waiting trip. While I was thinking of what to do next, I got another request heading to my home. so accepted it and I just got to my last riders destination, that was why I filed in this report pretty late. I am deeply hurt, emotionally and internally.

My spine hurts.
My wife called and started crying when she heard the whole chaos.

This is very wrong, uber already has a precedure in place if a rider refuses to pay you, how can you expose your rider online to the whole world just because of 3200 naira, unfortunately you're anonymous else he also has the right to report you to uber and you will be banned for life.

Let's call a spade a spade, people can just be wicked and mean, inhuman to others, I'm not perfect, but let's reason like someone that have blood and water in us. I sent taxify message this morning they should try and protect the driver and not the stupid price fixing and the purpose for it is already defeated, I have a woman that is still yet to give me my 1600 since last night after spending like 35 mins in traffic. Watching the game at surulere, the game seems boring so I set destination trip to ogba, request entered, I didn't even bother to as destination, I drove straight to national stadium, saw Teni *2... My mind skip, my shock absorber oo, start trip, Magodo GRA, I thank God for such sweet destination trip. She start making calls and she was sounding so not Magodo on the phone, so I ask her if her destination is Magodo and she reply "Sorry dear, Mile 12"... Approaching ketu, next I hear " I change my mind I'm going to Ikorodu" I laff my frown (On which app?), me I can't go to ikorodu oo around 10 30pm. So she ask me to stop at mile 12 bus stop, ask for 400, so she can transfer 2000 as trip display 1600 . Ma, I don't have kobo with me here, your transfer is not certain self las las I'm home waiting for aleet, no sleeping tonight until I get alert

it happened to me today. I discovered it’s stop reading at N2,500 so I ended the trip and told rider that my hand mistakenly end her trip. I told her to add anything she like for me after taken her to her destination. She agreed. Got to her destination she gave me N3,500.

Whosoever that must have sold this idea of flat rate to Bolt should be hanged and shot. Almost all my trips on Sunday had issues but i decided to let it go. Got a request today while chilling in Ilupeju, called rider and he said destination was freedom way, Lekki. As we were approaching Unilag waterfront I checked fare it displayed 1k, checked again at Adekunle interchange 1k4, then again as i was on top of the bridge descending unto Osborne it jumped to 3k and we still hv like 9km to dropoff only to end trip at destination and it displayed same 3k after about close to 2hrs plus in traffic from 3mb, Osborne and ikoyi link bridge. Checked rider app and it displayed same 3k.

Also did another trip from Opebi to Ijesha and rider made me follow a longer route and app displayed 1k7. Checked with rider app and 1k7 was the fare. In view of the foregoing I think I am done driving on Bolt for now till they come back to their senses. I am ok with Uber for now.

One thing I have learn in this business is try not to give in to intimidation, if a car is at ur back, check if its civilian first, then he can wait forever, uber/taxify drivers r gradually becoming tout , let dem manage us like that (They we b driving and pressing phone baba). All cases should b settled to your satisfaction, advantage or breaking point before giving up.

Last week, I had an app error from yaba to cmd road, told rider about it from ogudu side and she was asking what will happen... Got to her destination and she offer 1k, I smile and ask is it because I didn't pull over on 3mb the moment i noticed, I guess that will b rude abi? She asked, how much do I want now? Me; 2k/2.5k at least. We argued for 10 mins and admit to go with app estimation... D stupid tin display 1400 - 1600, dat was how she paid 1600.
