I plan to go to Nigeria for my first time, Iv lived in London all my life and I am 24 years old. Can I go with just a Nigerian Passport? Will I be questioned at the airport(Heathrow/Gatwick) for having an empty passport(i.e. no Visa or Right of Abode stamp)?
Why not? if you do not plan on returning to UK. You're going back to your country, you have a Nigerian passport, nobody would stop you, they'll be happy to let you go, but of course you'll be questioned, not detained and your fingerprints taken to prevent re-entering. But if have genuine documents with you to prove you're a British citizen e.g. (1) UK Birth Certificate, and proof you've lived there for more than 10years or all your life as there is a separate entitlement for any such UK-born child to be registered as British if he or she lives in the United Kingdom until age 10, irrespective of parent's (or child's) immigration status, (2) a Driver's License, and most importantly (3) a Certificate of Registration as a British Citizen from the Home Office, (all these can be easily and quickly verified) and then of course there's your British accent, then your fingerprints would not be taken, you just explain to them you haven't had time to apply for your British passport and you urgently need to travel to Nigeria. A lot of British and US citizens who's never had reasons to travel out of their country don't have Passports. If you intend on returning to UK, you will however have to go through the hassles of the British High Commission in Nigeria to apply for a British Passport as you cannot travel with a Driver's License or Birth Certificate from Nigeria and this might take some time. Wouldn't it be better to present your documents to and have your Passport stamped by the Home Office before you embark on your journey? |

Your wife doesn't want the 'girl' watching TV in her house, can you not respect that? Who is more important to you, your wife or your neighbor? And what is this 'girl' looking for anyway? watching TV in your house most evenings, and how old is she? because if she were only a girl as you put it, her parents would not allow her to leave the house in the evenings and 'am sure your wife will not call a little girl a husband snatcher. So if we're talking fully grown woman here, doesn't your wife have a right to be suspicious of the girl's actions? her presence in your house most evenings? especially now that DSTV subscription is so affordable in Nigeria, every tom, d i c k and harry has it. Tell your girl to stop coming to your house under the pretext of watching TV, respect your wife and stop driving yourself crazy. |

Some people say 'Out of sight, out of mind', others disagree and say, 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder', but I will only say 'If theres no loophole on the wall, the lizard can never pass through it'. Acidosis:One year is a long long time and a lot can happen in one year. |

tinkinfela: tinkinfela:I rest my case! |
tinkinfela:No, not dumb, it's the most sensible thing to do You can invite him to spend some time, holidays, Xmas(whatever) with you in Sweden, I take it you legalized your stay there by your marriage, send him a letter of invitation or have your wife do that with all the required documents and have him take them with his application and passport to the Embassy of Sweden for a visiting visa. If he is successful, he gets a Schengen visa, travels to Sweden first and you can then take him visiting the football club in Norway, on the same visa and even more adventurous by train, he would love it and have fun. The Club wouldn't want to be responsible for getting him to Norway, what if he doesn't meet up to their expectation, it would have been a waste of time and money, nobody wants to lose money. Hey! I wish him all the best and this link might come handy: www.swedenvisa.org |

MRbrownJAY: I didn't know 38 is late in life, they're both just getting to their middle ages. deagleng:Selfishness is not enough ground for divorce and remember you have your own little problem too, it's not as if it's entirely her fault. As a matter of fact it's not her fault she cannot conceive, so take it easy with her, mister. |
I'm sure when your father was training you through school, feeding your ungrateful behind, clothing you and buying you all those nice barbies and things, he did not ever come on Nairaland to complain to us that your school fees were unaffordable or that he had to almost suck someones nuts to give you pocket money.
That is his responsibility as a father. Iranoladun:I agree with you. Ujujoan:No, is his father handicapped and cannot look for work that he has to solely depend on his son? Or maybe we should ask how old he is, too elderly to be able to get back on his feet. He can only help his father if he has the means and wherewithal to do so. For goodness sake the guy said he has no money now, when he had, he gave freely, you're not suggesting he steals, are you? just to be able to satisfy his father? and if you're lucky he works in a bank he could misappropriate funds and end up in prison! helovesme:Spare me the sentiments and quit these kiddies talk . |
Are you bride or groom? |
cramsvill:Well I believe you cannot give what you do not have so maybe you should start by telling him that. |

deniyor:Of course I know that, we're both right, one word, different meanings: lob·by /ˈlɒbi/ Show Spelled [lob-ee] Show IPA noun, plural -bies, verb, -bied, -by·ing. –noun 1. an entrance hall, corridor, or vestibule, as in a public building, often serving as an anteroom; foyer. 2. a large public room or hall adjacent to a legislative chamber. 3. a group of persons who work or conduct a campaign to influence members of a legislature to vote according to the group's special interest. |

What's the genotype of first child? |
xreal:I couldn't have agreed more. If nothing else the man should at least be able to recognise his wife's battered 505 at the scene of the accident and quickly move on. |
mafe23:Is your Social Security Number proof of citizenship or your US passport? You're telling us you have a US passport and they're still asking for your social security number at the Consulate as proof of citizenship? I don't believe that! A standard U.S. birth certificate issued by a state government is your primary proof of U.S. citizenship, the US passport supersedes that. But if your US passport was issued in Nigeria due to the fact you were born by US citizens but you've actually never been to US before or you were born in the US and brought to Nigeria as a baby, then the Consulate is under no obligation to return you there, or 'lend' you money as you put it, the onus is on you to get yourself back there if you so desire, except of course you're on holidays, you run into difficulties and you get stuck in a foreign country then it is their duty to protect you and get you back home safely. |

If you're a tourist in US you can drive with your Nigeria's drivers licence although a lot of people don't know this. And if legally migrating to US you can also use it for I think 6months to 1year because Nigeria is party to the UN Convention on Road Traffic (Geneva, 1949), and the Convention on the Regulation of Inter-American Automotive Traffic (Washington, 1943). oyewolejos:Weird but true, they do not recognize International drivers licence but they all recognize Nigeria's drivers(driving) licence. |
I read about NSK once and I remember it's a non-existence country, it's not real, it's only an Art's group that want to showcase and present their work all over the world and their camouflage passport is not a valid international travel document, it's sort of like a membership card. |
