She picked up her passport frm the vfs office and there was a visa in it!!!she got a 1 month visa annotated with the details of the wedding in nyc!.she is super thrilled and her hubby is probably still in shock(lol).
Her husband is an i d i o t of the highest order! If she were married to me, that US visa would have been an effort in futility, she would never make the trip or if she's still adamant make it and forget the marriage.

I believe in partnership in marriage, I believe in dialogue, but I also believe one cannot win all of the time thereby listening to voice of reason! Someone has to be the 'captain' of the ship for a smooth sail and in this regard that someone is the head of the family who incidentally is the husband.

As irrational as her husband's action might have been, the fact still remains that for whatever reasons he doesn't want his wife to travel to US or anywhere else for that matter for now. And we are talking about his wife here, and I suppose he has the final say on that if he doesn't know that by now. 'Miss USA' must learn to respect her husband and his wishes if she truly love and trust him.

PROTEST OVER DEGRADING TREATMENT BY BANK PHB STAFF

I write to register my protest over the absolute and utter humiliation my person was subjected to by staff of your 2nd Avenue, Festac Town branch in the early hours of yesterday.

HEREIN LIES MY CASE.

Between 8:15am and 8:40am yesterday Tuesday 22nd of June 2010, I visited your 2nd Avenue, Festac Town branch to make a withdrawal from my account No 00315000033 domiciled at your Obafemi Awolowo (1) branch, Ikeja, Lagos. (I was told this particular A/C No is no longer valid and I’m still waiting for the new A/C No.)

However to my dismay, I was refused entry into the banking hall at the point of entry on the grounds that I use a walking aid (Crutches to be precise). For the benefit of record purposes, I’m currently battling with a diagnosed case of Giant Cell Tumours of the left femur, which necessitates my usage of the earlier stated walking aid to ambulate.

Now, while I do appreciate the need for bank to maintain high-level security procedure and processes, barring physically challenged people access into their banking halls I dare say is ridiculous and absurd. Also, for your staff to ask me to bring my cheque book so the withdrawal could be made on my behalf further makes the whole situation preposterous as I kept wondering why people who could treat me with such indignities and unwarranted suspicion expected me to repose my own confidence in them.

All my efforts to explain to them that I was a bonafide account holder of the bank fell on deaf ears. Even after I requested to see the so called “madam” who could give the directive that I be allowed in the banking hall to carry out my legitimate transaction, my request was declined as I was told that it was only if I gave them my cheque book to make the withdrawal on my behalf would suffice.

To say the least, their action not only impugns on my person, but also smacks of transparent discrimination against the handicapped. For anyone to suggest that people who walk with the aid of crutches or any other type of walking aid for that matter cannot be trusted is laughable and wicked.

My initial reaction was that perhaps their position was the company’s policy as it relates to the physically challenged, but after ruminating over the likelihood of this, I knew it was not possible as I had never been subjected to this kind of humiliation on account of my condition in any other branch of Bank PHB or any other bank for that matter. Why I had to be subjected to such indignities still befuddles my mind and I would gladly like to know WHY.

All the above I do believe can be corroborated from the CCTV footages of yesterday.

Already, my lawyers have been briefed as I do intend to seek redress in the court of law and court of public opinion.

Thank You.

Yours Sincerely,

Arulogun Olabusoye

The key word for any employee for the growth of any establishment is to be a 'team' player. A team stands as one, cooperating and working together to achieve results. If I am joining an establishment, I must have that sense of belonging that 'am becoming part of them thereby working 'with' them but never 'for' them.

TravelRe: Birth Certificate For United State Embassy, pls Help, god Bless You As U Reply. by coolier(f): 3:38pm On Jun 17, 2010
I don't support swearing to an affidavit, again it's going to look suspicious. Why would you change your given name from Boyede to Adeboye? Whatever is wrong with Boyede? But then that is your problem. My advice to you here is to just go to any Local Government office nearest to you and get a new Birth Certificate. It's that simple and costs little to nothing. Nobody would ask any questions especially now that there is a new Federal Government of Nigeria Birth Certificate in use in all the States of Nigeria, as opposed to the old ones issued respectively by different State Governments at their Local Governments Councils.

I used the paediatric hospital reference to show that the first test is genuine since hospitals that deal with children are more detailed because of the delicate and fragile nature of kids, and they take blood test serious.[/quote]That is exactly my point, your use of pediatric hospital. You have no business in a children's hospital because you're adults and 'am sure no pediatrics hospital would attend to adults, let alone take your blood samples! because the hospital is exclusive to children.

She is AA and you are AA?
Don't head for the altar except you don't intend to have natural children together meaning you can adopt kids.  Having AA kids is a nightmare that should be avoided if possible.

Good answer.

The lady had a Nigerian passport and needed to have obtained a UK visa before transiting through UK.
Now someone is finally talking!
No passenger can travel on BA from Nigeria with a Nigerian passport without a valid UK visa even if your destination is Canada. No official will check you in because BA's first port of call is always UK. If you're connecting you need a transit visa.

I tried cancelling the interview, so that I can just extend my passport till December and then renew while in Nigeria, but still no way.
Are you trying to say your Nigerian passport is expired and needs renewal? If that is the case. you can travel out of UK on an expired Nigerian passport. So long as you're Nigerian, your destination is Nigeria(back to your country), no stop over, no transit. No immigration officer in Lagos will stop you from entering your country. I've traveled on an expired passport before and I had it renewed when I got to Nigeria.
TravelRe: I Need A Visit Visa To The Usa by coolier(f): 6:29pm On Jun 14, 2010
* I am traveling with my family or as part of a group. Can I create a family or group application?

Yes. On the “Thank You” page you will see an option to create a family or group application. When you select this option, certain information from your application, such as destination, will automatically be imported to and displayed on a new application. Please note that if you use this option you will need to create an individual application for each of your family members traveling with you or for each individual within the group.

* If I use the option on the "Thank You" page to create a family or group application, can I modify the data automatically populated by the system?

Yes. If one of the dependents has a different surname or nationality, for example, the applicant can alter that data on the application before submitting.

TravelRe: Us Conference Visa by coolier(f): 6:09pm On Jun 14, 2010
Usually conferences are annotated meaning exact place, date, duration and time of conference is printed on visas, but then again the interviewer has the power to use his/her discretion in inserting annotations. Sometimes, visitor's visas are annotated with the name, address of person one is visiting and duration of visit e.g 'visiting Sharon Smith at 1141 Greenacre Valley, New Jersey from Oct 15 to Nov 5 2010".

Chief Alex Akinyele if you were to be in Deji's position would you commit suicide with all the money you stole back then?
If he was in Deji's position, he would definitely commit suicide because then it would be the most honourable thing to do. He wouldn't have had the opportunity to become Minister, the privilege to steal all that money and the boldness or audacity to abuse power. He would just have been Deji, with no stolen money, ready to depart.

Your wedding is in three months, so your trip to Nigeria in December would be well after your wedding, and you've never met any of your in-laws! Don't you think it makes sense to at least meet with his immediate family, get introduced to them before you tie the knot, most especially as he is a foreigner in your country and you really can't know everything about him or his family except what he told you? Are you not curious to know what type of family you're marrying into? Does it not bother you that your in-laws will not be at the wedding and you only get to meet them afterwards?   huh huh
