Unbelievable! |
tEsLim:And I read the story of a popular multi billionaire polygamist business mogul in Lagos some years back, whose supposedly favorite wife cheated on him times without number right under his nose, and actually had one of her husband's children fathered by her lover. It was a big scandal and they finally broke up. And what about the other multi millionaire that passed away, who left instructions that all his children do DNA tests to determine who is actually who, before his estate is shared. You know how many of them failed the test? Does it ever occur to you that these people are extremely wealthy and comfortable but still cheat on their husbands: reason, they are unhappy! And the husband continue to take on as many wives as his money can buy! Reason again, he is not happy! Now would you still say money guarantees happiness? |
lila007:Obviously you are okay with the arrangement, if not there wouldn't be these many children. |
tlops:The fact he has represented Britain on a number of occasions does not mean he is above the law. Let's face it, he wasn't smart, he could have held them to ransom while the ovation was loudest, when he was winning medals for them and wearing Britain's national colours, but he didn't, maybe he had no good advisers or he took things too much for granted. They needed him then, they would have done anything for him. He was convicted twice for driving carelessly and jumping a red light! what was he thinking? to kill someone or make them disabled too! thereafter he was disqualified from driving, yet he still went ahead and drove, knowing fully well he was flouting a court injunction plus he also had an immigration case pending. I can only pity him, he has rightly said it, I cannot help but wonder how he would manage his disability in a disabled country. SEFAGO:Very funny! |
usbcable:A happy married life is dependent on love, trust, loyalty and understanding. If you have all these you'll both be able to stand the test of time and weather all storms. We cannot all be millionaires, we must learn to live within our means and cut our coats according to our sizes. Money is not a yardstick for a happy married life. My point is you can have all the monies of this world and still be terribly unhappy. |
He is a sissy. Run away from him fast. |
jumie:Money doesn't guaranty happiness in marriage. I've seen a lot of extremely wealthy couples break up because they were not happy in the relationship. rerute1:"The rich also cry!" |
Henphil:If you speak the way you write, you wouldn't last a second with me. Maybe "Mind your Language"! |
Me thinks she needs a breathing space ![]() |
We all use fictitious names on NL in the first place to conceal our identities, uploading photographs on profiles to me does not make sense, as it has completely defeated the purpose. My photographs are on facebook for instance because they tally with my real names. |
why would she continue to go out with him on weekends while the man chased her out of his house? if she was so important to him, he would at least tried to mend things since then. he doesnt to marry her but still want a date on the weekends.
Weird! don't you think? |
Vie:You mean you actually went ahead with a wedding without having met any of his family and now you want their blessings. Do you still have parents? were they part of the wedding or unavoidably absent as well? What sort of person are you? it's so convenient for you to rush into marriage without thinking and want out again so soon. |
abi2008:The word stranger is inappropriate in this context. Here we are family - black, white green or red! and that's why you feel safe and at ease to spill out your family problems and seek our opinions. And before anybody can give a candid opinion or offer a solution, they want to really know the root of the matter and understand the cause of the problem. I think that is what they're trying to do not chiding you. |

rusgal:You can never know for sure. rusgal:Nigeria is a polygamous society. |
rusgal:It depends on his relationship with the Nigerian lady, if she is actually his wife, then she would wait for him until such a time he is able to get his papers, divorce you, remarry her and file for her and their daughter(if she doesn't have more from his trips to Nigeria) to join him abroad. |
Outstrip:They must all be over 20, since he left Nigeria with his mum over twenty years ago, when she left those kids behind in Nigeria. |

Haiti tourist visa is not required for citizens of Nigeria for a stay up to 90 days. Good news if tourist visa is the correct choice for the purpose of your trip to Haiti. Start with "What visa type do I need?" question right above the tabs on the left and review corresponding requirements. If you have any doubts, please contact our customer service. Roger that, what's next? Check the current validity of your passport. All travelers will need a passport valid for at least 90 days following your departure date from Haiti. However, we strongly recommend traveling with 6 months validity on your passport at all times. VisaHQ can assist U.S. citizens with a full range of expedited passport services, including new passport application and passport renewal. Make sure your passport has blank Visa pages. Most destinations, including Haiti, require that you have adequate un-used pages in your passport, allowing for any necessary stamps upon arrival and departure. We recommend that you have at least two free pages in Visas section of your passport before any international travel. U.S. citizens can get extra passport pages added to their passports as fast as within 24 hours. Confirm if transit visa is required for any connections. Check with your airline in case you have connecting flights overseas as part of your journey to Haiti. It may be the case that countries you pass through en route to your destination may require a separate transit visa. Please refer to visa requirements of the specific country. http://haiti.visahq.com/requirements/Nigeria/ |

Turai should face trial for kidnapping Yar’Adua – Soyinka | Print | E-mail Written by Kunle Awosiyan NOBEL Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, has described the alleged role of Hajia Turai, wife of President Umaru Yar’Adua, in the current political crisis as an insult to the nation, calling for criminal proceedings against the first lady. He made the call at a rally organised by a non-governmental organisation, “Women Arise”, in Lagos, on Monday. He said: “We have an example with the president of the nation being abused physically by a woman. He has been kidnapped by a woman under false imprisonment. If it were in a civilised society, this woman should be in court by now for kidnapping and false imprisonment. Far even worse than abusing her spouse, she is also abusing a nation, abusing and insulting the intelligence of a nation.” Soyinka, who was accompanied by chairman of Board of Trustees of the “Women Arise,” Professor Pat Utomi, convener of the Save Nigeria Group (SNG), Pastor Tunde Bakare, and leader of the women’s group, Dr. Joe Okei Odumakin, called on Hajia Turai to release the president, to speak to the nation about his condition. “Release him, stop insulting and belittling his family. Even his mother was not allowed to see him. For me, this is sacrilege, acute sacrilege and I think we should begin criminal proceedings against Turai for kidnapping and false imprisonment of her husband,” he said. http://www.ngex.com/cgi-bin/frame/frameit2.plx?link="http://www.tribune.com.ng |
badboym:I am just going to say believe it or not my phone does exactly the same thing. I use a touch screen phone, and when it's in my bag, something rubs against it, it dials the first stored number that starts with the letter A. Most times I want to make a call, pick it up to scroll down on the names, before 'am done it's already stationed itself on that first number without me realizing it and starts to dial and I quickly cut off because I don't want to talk to that person at that particular time. But sometimes the calls get through before I cut it off and the person calls back, thinking 'am flashing. My phone's done that a couple of times and I was able to get away with it because the person is my very good friend. For all you know she might be telling the truth. |
DHighPries:This age problem again! |
snowdrops:Now you are wrong. And I have not come across an English family who go out of their way to call their kids Ngozi, Umaru or Adebisi, neither would an Indian or Japanese. And I am not trapped in the shackles of the colonial slave trade, people who still give their children English or foreign names are, they are the ones with a complex. And the little bit about travelling? I only wish you knew. |
Tarmpa:The question is are they Nigerians? Because in civilized societies, it happens all the time, and it's no big deal. To them love is not about age. And I totally agree with them. |
