Well we Nigerians are more concerned with fuel consumption... I've never used a diesel engine b4... but in theory diesel is less volatile than pms,despite its more expensive per litre. I think the rate of usage as the engine is working should be lower.am just assuming shaaa

One thing I know is sure.....when we are crying fuel no dey for naija..u are safe for a while...until all petroleum products gets scarce.

Chief, I took out my time to watch the video. Let's reason logically. Besides people prefer Solara of V6 engine to this Lexus. The competition is too stiff that's why it ain't common on our roads and also the target market (University students) can't afford it, how many yahoo yahoo dude will over look a Toyota Avalon and carry money buy this car.

Do you' feel a car this small would rake that much of a fuel just because it's a V8...its not a sequoia or land cruiser. I once used a toyota camry v6 a I quite enjoyed the fuel consumption better than the 4cylinder honda I'm using now.

Nah, not counter-productive. Using luxury brands to debut new innovations might be one of the numerous reasons. It could also be a shot at market-segmentation _identify different classes of consumers and satisfy them.

Well, my thread wasn't about Toyota's preferred product line of investment....a particular brand of their products just caught my attention...I just wanted the to hear other opinions about the car and possibly they might even have seen newer models...price range..etc

@OP, it's kind of normal for them to design Lexus better, considering the fact that Lexus is their luxury brand.
I think the idea behind luxury brands was for manufacturers to develop and debut their technologies, then introduce them to mainstream cars when such feature is cheaper to 'mass produce'.

The problem with this strategy is that, some other competitive brands might offer same design and features that Lexus is hoarding, in their everyday non-luxury car. When other non-luxury cars offer such features, Toyota has no choice than to move on to something else.

I like the seat, looks very comfy. The dashboard doesn't appeal to me, I love dashboards that shoot out.
I love the car's ukwu, looks like a modification of one Chrysler that trended way back.

For me the dash board is just perfect. Three screens on dash board. It would have been too perfect if the speedometer designed had come as the white background design

Am a big fan of 2 door vehicles, they are usually sleek, sporty and posh....
honda first made me love two door cars with the 2008 coupe. First time I saw that car was in 2009, white colour with black 18" chromes. Damn! The back of that car looked like a slim babe with a huge bubble shape assssss.
Then toyota also ministered to me with 2005 solara series, audi tt, cross fire, etc.
But I don't know how I missed this lexus, the car is just sleek. production started as far back as 2003 and the toks goes for as much as 4M now... yes even more than that since the dollar hike.
I recently came across the 2006 model for around 7M... 7M for a 2006 ride.
its not the price that wows me but the design. The interior? Oh my! the car speaks to me. It looks so beautifully crafted, fragile in some kinda way yet feels & looks so durable at the same time, like it cannot damage becos of its small compact size.
Toyota got me with this one...I must say toyota designs lexus cooler than their toyota brands.......its an old car but I just love it.

If u can afford cars like lamborghini.....the cost of fixing or maintenance isn't part of your worries...those that own them ship both the engineer and the part to be fixed together....you'll be surprised they get to Nigeria faster than your regular naija mechanic that will not come until after a 3days u called him.

These kinda cars are not every day use... usage is for some specific parts of the island, vgc, banana island and Abuja. Or you think pple like us staying upcountry can afford shiits like dat??

Well, viewing it from different angles, it is the duty of the landlord to defend his/her properties from intruders. Reporting such case is not a crime, because of series of assault, kidnapping and rape these days. What if the lady in question, died during the rousing and the man absconded? Won't they police arrest the landlord for rituals or rape or something similar, knowingly how police can twist cases, and with poor investigating tools?
It is the duty of the police to investigate them and if they are seeing as a couple, they should settle them with the landlord and end the
case instead of charging them to court. That's my opinion.

Seriously bro...at this point, I must say I am not understanding you....so an intruder is found in an apartment they did not rent or not invited as guest or vendors, they aren't even visitors. The owners of the house raises alarm and u said there's not issue until the landlord is able to actually proof they entered the house to commit a crime.
What happened to the word "attempted" in law... last I checked pple still get convicted for attempted rape, attempted murder, attempted etc
