CapedBaldy:Nothing worse than elitist weebs. |
Kaycee7:That picture is just a meme making fun Netflix's casting choices in adaptations. The actress playing Faye Valentine, Danielle Pineda is actually reasonably attractive. You just don't cast a Latina to play a Singaporean. https://cdn1.thr.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/landscape_928x523/2018/03/daniella_pineda.jpg |
Arthurity1:Oh. Thanks for the clarification. |
Mark23:That's what happens when you drop Madhouse studios. |
So after the abortion that was Netflix's Death Note live action and the botched circumcision that was the Fullmetal Alchemist movie, it seemed Netflix had learned their lesson with the surprisingly decent Bleach movie. Now these niggas have decided to do a Cowboy Bebop love action series. Now, this anime is already a heavily westernized classic from the director Shinchiro Watanabe so it was wrote popular in the West. Also, it was set in space so localization shouldn't really be an issue, i.e., Netflix shouldn't have to change sh!t. But of course that's what they did. Apart from the MC, the main cast was changed radically; Jet Black, the lead character's white-as-fvck partner in crime, was changed to a black guy. Faye Valentine, a Singaporean, was cast as a latina. The frickin' dog, Ein, was changed from a corgi to a husky. Which just goes to show how little Netflix gives a sh.it about its target audience. Why is it so hard for production companies to respect the source material? https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/411/629/7fd.jpg |
NoonMasamune:Hold my sake. |
Leviana:I'm unironically calling you a woman of culture. It's not everyday you see a fellow degenerate in the wild. |
Leviana:Woman of culture. |
CapedBaldy:Total rip-off of AoT. Stunning visuals but terrible characters, asinine plot only made possible by the characters making completely ret, arded decisions. https://pm1.narvii.com/6115/75cb447d2986ca35675f863dba05ec0be1f30900_hq.jpg She was pretty badass, though. |
Fourcade:He never puts the name, blue-ballin' cockteasing nigga. |
Dudeweedlmao:Modern Biology is your friend. |
Nigg3369:Sounds like Kimetsu no Yaiba. https://myanimelist.net/anime/38000/Kimetsu_no_Yaiba |
Fourcade:Shinchiro Watanabe anime have the best sound direction. |
IMAliyu:Seriously though, they draw a flat-chested female character, give them a female voice actress, make them act feminine and then say they are guy. I personally don't think liking traps is gay. |
>be me >degenerate weeb in university >give my roommate Re:zero to watch >he finds out that Ferris is a trap >he gets disgusted >I can't even relate >realize that I actually find traps entertaining >realize that my degeneracy is reaching dangerous levels >pic related https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/mordhau-media/spirit/images/157/e70c2af8d5458f7445f3de8484e4b88c.jpeg |
It's an inanimate object. |
Wroxxane:You're definitely not alone. |
CapedBaldy:Meanwhile, the Oscars were too busy giving awards to trash like Boss Baby. |
teemy:Well, I'm still in volume 3. |
johnydon22:No, the old beings are but a memory now. Annihilated the moment the switch occurred. |
teemy:I haven't seen him in the manga yet, though. |
Why not both? Man is made up of his consciousness and his body, Johnydon in Lordreed's body is just that: Johnydon in Lordreed's body and vice versa. Like Takeshi Kovacs in a new sleeve, if you're familiar with Altered Carbon, In essence, two new beings would have been created. Johnydon's body would effect change in Lordreed's behaviour. For example, say Johnydon is athletic where Lordreed is overweight, this could encourage the latter to lead a more active lifestyle. Likewise, Lordreed's habits that caused him to be overweight can be carried over to Johnydon's body. Edit: Alternatively, let's look at it this way: Johnydon in Lordreed's body would identify as Johnydon while everyone else would identify him as Lordreed. What makes him think that he hasn't gone insane? Maybe some rare form of body dimorphic disorder? In a world where people can change their bodies to better fit the gender they identify as, given that gender reassignment has been said to reduce the anxiety and depression associated with gender dysphoria. Maybe a case can be made that Johny in Reed's body is still Johny, since he identifies as Johny. What do you think? |
blingxx:It's basically a mish-mash of all the recent shonen anime that are popular. Maybe that's why it's so difficult to drop it. |
nani667:Animated by Madhouse studio, the geniuses behind One-punch Man and Redline. |
nani667:Gigguk said it eventually gets good so maybe I'll still give it a chance. |
jeff1607:Damn, I'm in Abuja. |
