Abuheekmat:I'm not a Christian, dude. And this thread is to address pedophilia in Islam. Funny how you resort to taking potshots at Christianity when your religion is being criticized. Don't you have your own standards? Also, what moral authority do you have to condemn homosexuality when the founder of your religion diddled a 9 year old when he was 54? |
|
Please stop. It's unnecessarily divisive to do stuff like that. It doesn't matter how right you are, if you push people away with your presentation your facts don't matter. |
CapedBaldy:I (unfortunately) stumbled upon some clips on YouTube a couple of weeks back. Namely: The scenes of people getting ripped apart by the bomb, the scene of the ragged walking corpses, and the lengthy close up of the mother's face after the baby, well...you know. I can handle gore but that final scene made me decide to stay away from the movie. |
quinSonia:Yes. |
quinSonia:Yup! |
quinSonia:For research purposes, right? Haha! Season 2- episode 7, I think. |
Maxi3k:Lmao, daddy got triggered.

Please make this list, I need friends!! But seriously this post is peak autism. |
nani667:Just watch it in the broadcast order. That's the same order the books were produced. It was the intention of the author for the viewer to piece the story fragments together. https://recommendmeanime.com/watch-monogatari-series-order |
nani667:Haha, what are the odds? I'm actually in the course of watching Nisemonogatari, right now. Just a heads up: Brace yourself some weirdly incestuous scenes. |
Mark23:The Houseki no Kuni manga started in October 2012, while Steven Universe began airing May 2013. Nevertheless, the similarities between the shows end at the main characters being genderless anthropomorphic gems. |
Houseki no Kuni (Land of the Lustrous) is definitely a hidden gem (no pun intended) in the anime community, especially in this part of the world. It follows the lives of a group of anthropomorphic gems that reside in some sort of post-apocalyptic earth, where they fend off strange lunar spirits that try to take them away. The narrative focuses on the the growth and character development of the youngest member, Phosphophyllite who tries to find her (they are actually genderless) purpose despite being the most brittle of the bunch. So yeah, it's a coming-of-age story, but it's quite different from what we are used to. One more thing, it's a cg animated and it doesn't look like shit. Unbelievable, right? An easy 8/10. PreciousRahl:The most beautiful trainwreck that I've ever watched. |
OpenYourEyes1:Its morality has no bearing on its reality. OpenYourEyes1:Parents (people who have already passed on their genes) protect their offspring, who are less likely to have done so. I can clearly see why nature selects for individuals who exhibit such behaviour. OpenYourEyes1:People of all religions and the irreligious, all exhibit moral and immoral behaviour. To say otherwise is to ignore reality. To ignore reality is to invite bigotry. Bigotry leads to intolerance. Intolerance leads to oppression. Oppression leads to violence and death. Ironically, your inability to face facts and accept reality makes you more dangerous than the atheists that you hate so much. |
OpenYourEyes1:That notion is incredibly asinine in the face of overwhelming evidence. |
OpenYourEyes1:Adaptation is evolution. Stop redefining terms. |
Youngbbt:That is NOT an anime. |
CapedBaldy:Download emulators and play old games. Download lightweight games that can run on a 4gb ram laptop (Undertale, and Skullgirls are well indie titles). Download visual novel games, since you're an anime fan, Doki Doki Literature Club and Angels of Death are popular titles. Popular anime like Steins ; Gate and the Fate franchise were adapted from visual novels. Emulators, old games, and torrent sites are your best bet for cheap gaming. Good luck! |
victorDcaptain:Really enjoyed it. It stayed true to the OVA and manga. Nice action sequences, although not as good (or violent) as the manga or OVA. Waaay better characterization than the OVA. Typical James Cameron special effects: spectacular (those eyes) to the point where it becomes overbearing (the crying scenes were kinda weird). All in all a successful anime adaptation. I feel it was held back by the PG-13 rating a bit. Adapting a gritty 80s manga into a movie that isn't R rated would definitely reduce the impact of its action scenes. The movie tried to push the boundaries and is more brutal than the average marvel movie but that just isn't good enough when you're adapting a manga where enemies routinely get chopped to bits. And oh, yeah they made the cyborg blood blue in this movie. I'll give it a 7.5/10. |
CapedBaldy:Dat economic boom animation budget, though! |
PreciousRahl:It was ok. It was different. The robot girl was waifu bait. It had some good episodes, especially the one where she was hanging out with the kids. But the second half of the show dropped the ball. Studio 3Hz come up with ambitious projects only to fvck them up in some fashion. I still have high hopes for them, though. |
PreciousRahl:The plot took a bigger nosedive than the Sosoliso aircraft, |
Sooo, is the Alita: Battle Angel movie worth checking out? Or should I just stick to the manga? |
CapedBaldy:Tetsuooo! |
NoonMasamune:N-nani? Masaka? K'sou! Heeeeeeeeh! * usually said in unison as the cameras pans to the sky* Tch! *with a disgusted face* Shimatta! Those are like the stock Japanese interjections. Back in the 90s anime dubs were trash. This has changed a lot in the new millenium as anime has gotten more mainstream. Unfortunately weebs never want to give dubs a chance and it's unfair, there are a lot of very good dubs and a lot of ok ones. |
NoonMasamune:I see you are a Gigguk watcher too. |

The Catholic church continuously abuses the authority and trust that its followers give to it. How many atrocities have to be exposed before people realise that the Church is dead on its feet. |
sarang60:I lurk around the Asian beauty community on reddit. They have 7-10 step routines that they use. Just waiting to hammer. |
sarang60:Honest question, do asians age in reverse or something? |
