gawu1:First off, I admire your insight, maturity, and measured response. Kudos! Was I wrong to have blanketed all parts of the core North like I did? Maybe. You see, I've been to a lot of places in the north. I've stayed more there than I have in any other part of the country. So my remarks were based on the experiences I've had. I've been to a lot of places in Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa, Bauchi, and Yobe, to list a few. One thing I found most common to these places was intolerance. There, they consider their way as the only way. There's less acceptance for other values. They expect everyone to squat before they pee, and regardless anyone who does not as less equals. Wish I could say more, but time is of the essence. In Christian communities, nobody cares what you practice. But the reverse is the case up north. What's your place, for research purposes? |
That's no secret. I figured this out since the ban issue was made public. It's always personal interests first for most politicians. The Muslims however, don't deserve a drop of sympathy. To be honest, how many Christians can live in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, etc. and go about their businesses as freely as the Muslims do in Christian-dominated territories? Even here in Nigeria, your rights as a countryman are restricted the instant you step into the core north. But when they are in your territory, they act as if they own it too. They go even to the extent of fighting the locals. These people are a special kind of bad. Trump really compromised the mission. Of all Muslim nations, there is no killer country like Saudi Arabia. But he gave them a pass because of business interests, endangering Americans in the process. That's terrible. |
killsmith:Nobody asked you that. @OP, mine goes thus; Enugu Edo Delta Bauchi Anambra Benue Nasarawa Kogi Kaduna Kano Katsina Jigawa Yobe Plateau |
Normally, these two are loud mouths. But I like that they have the balls to look at islamists in the eye and say, "it's enough!" If we had just 5 governors that are as bold as Fayose is, Nigeria would have been a much safer place to live in. People don't have to live in fear in their own backyard like the Fulani herdsmen have made it the case today. Nobody's life should have to be at the mercies of mindless and marauding cavemen! |
HtwoOw:This list is even putting it mildly. Those Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri people terrify more than it's being let out. |
vengertime:The hatred for the man wasn't even because he's from the Niger Delta or Christian. His crime is not being one of them. They hate anything that's not Fulani. They have been able to live 'peacefully' with the Hausas because they (the Hausas) allowed them to lord over them. Although the man been fall hands no be small. . |
drss2:You just spoke he naked truth bro. They think everybody will cower to intimidation like their people do. Any religion that uses force as a means of propagation is nothing other than slavery. No sane human being will find such practices enticing. |

norish3preye:Will fiscal federalism make them change overnight? A criminal is a criminal, regardless of the system in place. Peace they have not, how can they give one? Is it not the same IOCs that will drill the oil? Will that change the fact that your people will remain restive? Stop blaming Peter for the sins of Paul. |
petrov10: ![]() You're mean gahn. That will lead to unnecessary loss of properties on the defenders' part. Those wicked souls ain't even got a thing to lose when their cows are not in the picture. Think properties, think instability. I think it's best to keep the out altogether. |
kennygee:That would have been the best solution. But the other state governors are too lily-livered to take such commendable steps. It's a shame. |
. |
kennygee:I knew right from time that the man is an unrepentant fanatic. I was surprised they fell for his gimmick. Isn't it funny that he could locate the Fulani herdsmen and pay them to stop the Killings (or to continue), but they become hard to find when they lay siege to helpless communities? The solution to this endless bloodshed is outright ban of the herdsmen by local chiefs. The government is fraud and cannot be trusted. |

How convenient that while the Killings were going on, the muslim brethren didn't deem it necessary to condemn the killers or commiserate with the bereaved. But look how they came out all guns blazing with a deluge of mentions calling Audu names for daring to stand up for his people. What actually happened: Audu's driver's younger brother and 5 other school mates, all of them Christians, boarded a taxi to school in Gidan Waya. Unfortunately, the taxi driver (who's Fulani by the way) stopped halfway under the pretext of fixing his car engine. It was there the Fulani herdsmen ambushed and killed all six passengers, sparing only the driver. The driver then left the place soon after. Another driver watched as it happened and relayed the story to Audu, who then tweeted about it. Little did he know, it was the tweet that will force out all the shameless jihadists and their sympathizers who had hitherto been in hiding. They accused him of lying about the murder, citing no such incident took place. They even sent out an unsigned rejoinder purportedly published by the school refuting any loss of students lives. The question is, is Audu's driver's younger brother alive today? The funny thing is, Vanguard published the news on the 24th of January, but this prophetic rejoinder, which was published on the 23rd (a day before Vanguard carried the news), accused Vanguard of patronizing and perpetrating "insinuations".

Why can't open grazing be banned? Food production has dropped because of this heartless mo.rons! |
idupaul:What political future? You think the Muslim population in Taraba is enough to sway any votes? They are a negligible number. In the wrong hands, no religion is a religion of peace, like most commenters here prove. I know a lot more good Muslims. Although that does not change the fact that most terrorists are Muslims. There's something fundamentally wrong with what they preach, yes, but he didn't say anything out of line. |
RingimKabir:You mean you're thirty years old but still think like a toddler? Mehn!!! |
2ru9jaman:I was in the Barracks, bro. How about you? I didn't kill any water fowls o, but I ate plenty. ![]() |
Nguru, nice one. Tons of good memories of this wonderful and peaceful place. The very place where I learnt to swim. ![]() |
Ofoegbus:Illiterate! |
me69:Learn to communicate properly before you quote me ever again. Normally, I don't respond to illiterates, but because I wanted you to get that into your dumb skull, I had to make an exception. So who invented Islam, your father? Go back to school before you embarrass yourself next time. And before you bomb yourself all in the name of religion, just know that you're wasting away over nothing. Dullard! You lot are dumber than I've ever imagined. Damn. Illiterates everywhere. Ba ka da wayo wallahi. |
fiizznation:What a silly way to display your arrogance. Typical H/F Muslim! You hate correction, that's why you're stuck in the stone age. That's why you guys never get it right. Instead of analyzing the issue from a neutral perspective, you went on the defensive firing missiles as if someone cursed you out. Katsina state should first prove she is capable of standing on her own by generating enough revenue to pay her workers for just one month before we take your outburst seriously. Beggars acting like spoilt brats! What nonsense! You're not even ashamed of yourself, talking about sharia in the 21st century. I can see how it has helped you. |
Is that why you want to equalize by killing 6,000 people? Animals! |
Let's face it, no nation in the world can make progress if people are not united. If we continue to pretend that all is well with our dear country, we may never make any headway. As is often said, the first step to solving a problem is admitting that there is indeed a problem. People often argue that Nigeria is a marriage of strange bedfellows. But I've always thought that's what a union is about. Building and sustaining relationships depend a whole lot on understanding and accepting our differences. Recognizing that variety is what makes life exciting. Knowing the difference between rights and privileges... It appears however, that a particular region wants non of that. All they want is for everyone to be like them. Act like they do, talk, walk, eat, dress, sit, sleep, and most importantly, have the se religious ideals. Anything short of that, you're considered an infidel, a misfit, and less deserving of the air your breathe. Not even practicing the same religion as them will save you when the blood thirsty radicals come for your head. You see, their moral, their code, their language is violence. They share this strong moral code from Zaria to Funtua, Naibawa to Hadejia. To each national laws, they have their own principles; each constituted authority, their own soldiers. They have been made to believe that they are above everybody else. Somehow, they all seem convinced that they are the only right hand of God. Being a hotbed of crises, of the many problems bedeviling this country, over 70 percent of it can be said to have emanated from the North and are religious-related. So violent and volatile they are that a Nigerian need not lift a finger to provoke a violent response. All you have to do is air some Quran-burning activity in a foreign land and watch them go berserk. Every policy, action or inaction is viewed through religious lenses. Any policy that doesn't pass the religious scrutiny is thrown out the window, regardless the benefits it promises. Seeing no value in education, they are violent, ignorant, and politically motivated. Adhering strictly to hate-filled speeches made by some imams, we are beset by demon-hearted men ready to unleash hell on anyone who's seen practicing a different religion from theirs. Radicalism in the north has cost Nigeria lots of valiant men and women, intellectuals, and has sent promising youths to an early grave. Just recently, a certain governor ordered the demolition of churches in his state. In a move that can be likened to persecution, other religious bodies were banned in the Katsina State University, leaving only the Muslim body. It is mentality as these that has led to Nigeria fighting wars on multiple fronts today. From Boko Haram to Fulani herdsmen and the other human disasters the north has dumped on us, Nigeria is bleeding from different places. Islam isn't the culprit here, it's the people's mentality and perspectives of life. Truth is, in the wrong hands, no religion is a religion of peace. The problem is, a majority of people north or the country promotinge ethno-religious hegemony based on the idea that God prefers them to others. Guess due to their hypocritical lifestyle? You never can tell. Understanding this, the politicians and elites seek to benefit from this by promoting conflict, differences and fear. The result is a region that has not known peace since the inception of the country. A lot of potential foreign investments headed towards Nigeria has been redirected elsewhere owing to their activities. After all, no business will thrive in a religious, political, and socially rowdy environment. At a time when other nations' universities are making advancements in science and engineering, a certain university is concerned only about religion. If just 1/3 of our universities are like that, then it's no wonder we are stuck in the dark age. The conflict craving radicals North of Nigeria weren't born so, they were raised to become. Nigeria cannot move forward unless the north changes it's mentality or Nigeria sever ties with her. And to change her mentality, the people have to begin to raise their wards to reach their potentials rather than the them down in the name of religion. This can be done by giving them qualitative education. Learn to accept and value people for being different. We can make an all-inclusive happy ending to our history only if we try. We can build greater trust and solidarity by treating each and everyone fairly, respectfully, and building relationships. |
Grown men acting like kids... ![]() |
It can only be in Katsina. If you're looking for those religious but ungodly Muslims the whole of Nigeria, there are few locations you can look: Zaria, Katsina, and Kano. Dem carry religion for head like gala, but na dem do bad thing pass. Such a bunch of backward illiterates. |
Danja:Good thing is, she doesn't give rat's ass about your opinion. Some of you people think as if your heads were shoved through a cow's behind. It is people like you that instigate other Muslims to violence with your comments. It's no wonder you view others as not Muslim enough. So, who's a typical Muslim? The earlier you let people lead their lives like they want, the better for you all. You are not her father, so shouldn't attempt to tell her what to wear or not. That you share religious beliefs doesn't make you the boss of her. Live and let's live. I bet you'd rather she dons hijab, but f&ck other men left, right, and center. |
lovat:You really do know what you're saying. That's one reason why I never liked the man as an individual. He is up to no good at all when it comes to helping the masses. Even Atiku who is being touted as devil reincarnate has helped a lot more people than Buhari can dream of even in the afterlife. Him whipping religious and ethnic sentiments is why I will never pray his prototype comes out of the north ever again. |
To think I used to ply that road quite often when I was an undergraduate in ABU. It can only be God. The road is terribly bad, no lies. People losing their lives on a regular basis. May God help us in this country. |
She looks lonely without Zahra by her side. |
![]() This man has yet to do any good since his appointment. Plateau really doesn't have a ministerial appointee. |
