Do you know the refinery capacity first?
Secondly, even if by half, the other half will strengthen the naira. Hence reduce pressure on dollars for other thing
Apart from oil, Nigeria import other products

Elemosho478:
The dollar we are using to import petrol will be channel to other things and i think fuel is our biggest import if we no longer import fuel it will ease the demand for dollars.
Dangote refinery cannot cater for the needs of Nigerians.we consume 32million litres of PMS everyday not to mention AGO, they will still import to bridge the gap until all the nations refineries will start producing at full capacity.
.

Dee60:
It may be the opposite. Crude for that refinery was imported. PMS price may be raised to N900 or more per litre to allow this refinery to make some profits. Otherwise, Dangote will export its products, which is not bad. It will boost Nigeria's dollar earnings a bit.
crude wasn't imported, Nigeria has abundant crude oil

Sorry to say nigeria situation right now is beyond pleasure, we need infrastructure not suv car for certain people let them work for it, increase their salary. The money for the suv can create job for more than hundreds in the state.
The importance of the job of a medical personnel cannot be overemphasized, that's why they are highly paid and sought after in Europe and America.

The money is used to sustain jobs too, creating more job when you cannot sustain the ones you have amount to nothing.

Awolowo introduction of free education in the old western region gave an edge to the Yorubas to pursue their educational goals (career).

This was propelled by available opportunities in Lagos (a Yoruba state ) being the federal Capital

These are the result of the age long synergy among the Yoruba elite to help themselves in achieving these milestones

Almost everybody I know wakes up with different bible verses on their social media platforms. You see everybody going to their different places of worship, praying, crying ,dancing , shouting. Alot of others preach repentance.

Then I wonder,how come we have such a corrupt society?

Jobs are meant for a particular church congregation..

If your not a member of the church no job for you huh

You see politicians in churches and mosques
Who are the ones stealing this monies grin ?
In Nigeria corruption is not a sin, it's Gods blessings

Just look at the 3 of you supporting businesses closing down, y'all suppor the same party. This should tell you something
Nigeria economy has been bastardized by successive government with bad policies,it became so glaring now because of this present administration blind policy trust.

From the administration of GEJ, Nigeria has never attracted foreign investors to the country due to a number of reasons and they are getting worse:

* Insecurity

* Endemic corruption

* Unfavorable government policies

* Inflation) brought about by over reliance on Import.

Ofodirinwa:
Africans are clowns.

You will continue courting 'FOREIGN INVESTMENT' as if it is a good thing. You will not ask yourself what is good about it.
Ok it 'creates jobs', but the minute one kpim happens, they pack up and leave. Imagine creating useless jobs that disappear when the economy is bad. Mind you, when the economy is bad is when you need jobs. So now you have a situation where when an economic problem is supposed to be a 2, it immediately becomes a 10 because you're depending on people who are ready to run when any sign of stress appears.

Please. Let them leave, and let us stop trying to pretend that 'multinationals' are worthwhile assets to ANY economy.
One very important impetus for measuring economic growth is foreign investment in a country, they bring in the needed forex,create jobs and stimulate the economy.

Africa country badly need it because of its poor state,do nigeria have the needed technology to boost economic development.

Nigeria can't do it alone, Europe and America depend largely on Africa market to sell their products, they also buy cheap raw materials from Nigeria(Africa)
